"The best way I see this going is you train for at least 2500 years." the goddess said with a deadpan expression. "What… why… that's way too much." Marion, confused, looked around as if there was an explanation somewhere in the room. "No, that should be too little now that I think about it". Marion turned his gaze directly to the goddess and made a stern expression. "I refuse. That is a lot of effort for something that could happen in just 500 instead." Marion thought that being logical would be his way out so he attempted to reason how to shorten his time. "No, I need you to be prepared for anything and everything and I am still the one in control here
" Marion realized he had no right to complain but still bickered for a while longer about not wanting to spend so much time in pain and boredom that the goddess got fed up and increased it to 3 thousand years.
"I have finished what I have to say for now but before the 3 thousand years are up and we need to move I will explain the rest, but as is you should be able understand the short of things."
"Are you joking?" Was the only response he could give. "There are so many missing details with your plan that it looks like someone tried to piece together a puddle with their eyes closed." Marion was flabbergasted at how terribly conceived the plan was and what the entire purpose of it could be. "Well then would you rather disappear with the rest of the souls? Because I am currently the only one that can give you what in bare essence is immortality for servitude." The goddess responded, pouting with her head turned away. Marion let out a long sigh and proceeded. "Fine then can I at least get a reason for why you would even want to leave this realm for another?" The goddess, still refusing to meet his gaze, huffed in frustration "I do not come from this realm, I was forced out of my own by the hands of another god, every thousand years he takes a group of people from this realm and makes a show out of them, he has twisted my old realm into a foul mess. So you will go there with a fragment of my soul and explore and help me reclaim what was once mine. Every time it takes some of the people from this realm I can predict where they will be from, and when it will happen. The last time I sent a piece of myself the fragment returned the next time it came to claim another group and I saw how badly it had set everything. So the plan is to send your soul with a piece of myself fused and the longer you live the more power I, and in turn, you will gain. Anything else can be talked over in detail later in time. As of now you will go have some fun with the Assyrians." And as the last sentence was spoken Marion started his second life without any warning in an unknown land, speaking a language he felt was familiar but strange at the same time. "Well then better this then death."
