Chapter 14 Martial arts

After going home, they all sat together for dinner. Ricky had also joined them for dinner today as Ben had invited him for a sleepover.

"Dad, you promised me that you would do anything in your power to do what I ask ?" asked Ben looking at his father. "Yes, Ben if it is something that we can do we'll do it", said Dan.

"Then Dad I want you to teach me and Ricky martial arts", said Ben with a small smile.

Dan thought for some time and then answered, "Ben I was planning to do it even if you didn't ask me, as you asked I will teach you and Ricky martial arts, But Ben it is really hard and you both would have to practice it daily and also I would be very strict when teaching martial arts, are you both ready and will you accept me as your master."

"YES", both of them shouted with joy.

"Thanks, uncle I have always wanted to learn martial arts, and learning it along with Ben would be great", said Ricky.

" Your training starts tomorrow come to the dojo and I will also give you your training dresses", said Dan. They completed their dinner and went to sleep.

Ben and Ricky went out to make a camp, so they can sleep out. Ricky and Ben shared some stories and went to sleep. They woke up early in the morning. Ben and Ricky went for a run and they went to the dojo.

Dan was waiting for them. He gave the training dress and taught them some basics of a technique called as iron fist. Both of them did the practice. After some time Ben and Ricky finished what Dan said to them. Ricky went and cleaned himself and changed his clothes. But Ben continued his daily routine of doing his mission. Ricky and Dan were looking at Ben with surprise, wondering what he was doing and both of them asked him after he finished, what he was doing.

"It's nothing, I am working out to build my body", said Ben and went to change.

Ricky and Dan said bye and went out to continue their routine. Ricky went to school, Dan went to the farms. Ben finished everything and went to his Grandpa's house to learn his lessons as he had not learned them for two days.

The days went by and it was already the weekend. Ben went and bought the uniform and came home, it became evening and everyone was excited and worried because tomorrow will be the first day in school for Ben. They gave Ben a lot of advice and were trying to prepare him for school as he may face a lot of discrimination and also as he had not gone to school at all. They also explained to him how to talk to everyone, how to treat the teachers, how to befriend girls, etc. Ben had never talked with girls his age so he was a bit embarrassed when his dad was explaining how to talk to them.

After everything was over they all went to sleep. Ben couldn't sleep, as Ben was joining the school after a month after the new term had started, so he was a bit nervous, as he had a lot of catching up to do. Ben was also worried about the discrimination he would face and how to face them without any issues.

After some time Ben felt sleepy and he went to sleep.

The next day morning Ben prepared for school, after finishing their daily practice, Ricky and Ben prepared to go to school together from the dojo. They both ate breakfast together, Ben's mother prepared lunch for both of them and they left.

The school was only 4 miles from their house.

So both of them went on their hoverboards to school. Ben calmed his racing heart as he entered school, both of them folded their hoverboards into a cube and placed them in their bags. They went to the library to get Ben's Digi-book and to find out about Ben's class. Ben was also placed in the same class as Ricky, class 8-B.
