Chapter 16 Combat class

Ben adjusted his spectacles slightly and stood in front of everyone, looking at everyone nervously as he had never spoken in front of an audience before, He spoke in a low voice and said, "Hi, My name is Ben Chase and my family number is 0".

The entire class went into an uproar.

"SILENCE", shouted Jacob. The whole building could hear his voice and an eerie silence followed. Everyone in the class was holding their ears as his voice was powerful and had hurt their ears. Even though cyborgs can heal themselves through regeneration using mod energy and had certain physical traits which made them immune to a certain amount of pain, they couldn't stand the pain caused by Jacob.

Ben also held on to his ears and went to a free seat behind Ricky silently. Some students stared at him when he moved to his seat.

"Let's begin today's class", said Jacob with a smile on his face as if nothing had happened.

"Today we are going to learn about beasts and how to tame them. Beasts are mutated animals with extreme intelligence, they can sense and find prey weaker than them and hunt them, if they find prey stronger than them they use different methods to hunt the prey, every beast can become strong by preying on other animals and hibernating as it increases their mutation level making them strong. A beast's power is measured by its mutation level. Level 10 beasts are capable of killing 10 humans and a level 1 beast is capable of immobilizing a human and if left they can completely kill the human and there are also level 100 beasts that rarely come out of their hiding and they are capable of destroying a whole state and if left can even destroy a country. Beasts can control the energy in nature and are categorized into four types, Earth beasts, fire beasts, wind beasts, and water beasts and they have control over the respective energy, but some rare beasts are able to control all elements or more than one element, they are very rare and couldn't be found easily in the wild, they are bred in hybrid labs and sold at high prices in markets. Ordinary animals which are not affected by mutation levels are also found in wild but their species have almost become extinct, so they are now being guarded in special zoos all over the world. The beasts have also established a kingdom of hierarchy which you will learn about in the future as it is not necessary now.

Beasts can be tamed and made to grow up and can be made to reach high levels, even level 100. Taming grown-up beasts are really hard as they only chose people above their level or people who they think are capable of guarding their lives and helping them increase their strength, they find the intentions of humans using telekinesis as they have very high brain development. So you are going to be learning about different species of beasts and their weaknesses as you would have to show off your strength a bit before some types of beasts to make them accept you. Beasts form bonds with humans who tame them. You will be taming your own beasts in the last class of this week, read your Digi-book chapter 17 till the start of next class and if you have any doubts ask me, Tomorrow we will be going to a special zoo to learn more about beasts.", said Jacob and started going around the classes answering every doubt. Ben looked at his Digi-book and started reading about taming the beasts, he slowly looked at everyone in the class, everyone was busy doing something,

"I wish everyone would get along well with me", thought Ben. The bell rang and the class was over. Next, it was combat classes, Ben looked around, everyone started moving towards the combat class which was held in the training room. Only Ricky and Kelly stayed and they were staring at Ben, "Why are you guys looking at me, without going for classes", asked Ben looking at Kelly and Ricky. "Ben for the whole month everyone in the class has been learning basic combat techniques and everyone had practiced them, today we will be made to spar with other students and even with the instructor, Do your best to stay out of trouble ", warned Ricky worried about Ben. Both of them after talking, glared at Kelly demanding an explanation for staying behind.

"Well, I have not made any friends and most of the students would avoid me as I am from the Sanders family, I lived abroad and I am new to the town, I also don't know how to get to the training room, Can we be friends?", said Kelly looking at Ben and Ricky innocently, "Let's be friends", said the both of them, as they were very happy to have a new friend. Ricky had friends, but Ben was his only best friend who he had known for a long time and he was also happy that Ben had made a friend other than him as Ben had never socialized with kids his age other than him.

They quickly left for the combat class. They were already late by 5 mins.
