Chapter 17 Fight

They quickly left for the combat class. They were already late by 5 mins. The instructor was a very strict man and was known well for his harsh punishments.

The training room was a very big room and was filled with training equipment and a huge space in the middle and also a dojo mat was placed in the middle of the room.

The instructor was a big man with a muscular build and he was welcoming the students with a stern look on his face. The three of them entered last and stood behind all the students. "The students who entered late come to the front", said the instructor pointing at 6 students at the back. "You were late to the class by 5 minutes, so you are going to be punished, you are going to spar with each other and those who lose would be made to learn cyborg mod customization for six months, instead of combat classes", said the instructor with a scary smile on his face, as he knew students didn't like the cyborg mod customization classes, as it was hard and also not useful as combat classes were, increasing their strength to fight at the yearly tournament to increase the number of their family, was the only thing in their mind. Everyone was taught combat only at the age of 13, Everyone was made into cyborgs when they were born, using nanites, basic cyborgization was free for everyone, but if they need advanced grade cyborgization their family will have to pay a huge sum, so every child was taught to control mod energy and how to use their cyborg mods until the age of 12 and they were not allowed to be taught combat of any type at schools and in-home.

Everyone looked at the 6 students with a smile on their faces, as it was not them who was in the situation as them. The 6 of them went and changed to their combat dress and came to the instructor. The 6 were Ben, Ricky, Kelly, Jasmine, Max, and Li Shin, and later in the future, they would be known as the strongest six in the country.

"I am Instructor Karl, you two are you new, what are your names?", asked Karl with a wicked smile on his face. Kelly and Ben answered him and introduced themselves.

"Ok, the first fight will be between Kelly and Jasmine, don't use mods use only the combat techniques you know ", said Karl looking at them.

They entered the combat ring and Karl stood in the middle and explained the rules, " If you make your opponent step out of the ring or if you knock out your opponent, you win".

Kelly and Jasmine stood in their respective places, Jasmine was the same height as Kelly and she had black hair and brown eyes, she had also tied her hair into a ponytail and looked as cute as Kelly. They both were ready to fight.

"FIGHT",shouted Karl. Jasmine and Kelly started to fight.

Kelly's fighting style was defensive whereas Jasmine's was aggressive. Jasmine kept on attacking Kelly aiming for her vital spots. Kelly was playing defensive and was waiting for an opening, the fight continued longer than everyone expected and it ended in a tie as both of them got tired and were not able to continue.

Next, Karl called on Ricky and Max. Ricky didn't use martial arts he learned from Dan as he wanted to keep it as his hidden trump card and instead he thought of using combat techniques he learned from Karl to fight Max.

"FIGHT",shouted Karl. Max and Ricky started to fight. Their fighting was smooth both of them were attacking and defending at the right time and they were moving closer to the edge of the ring, Max was at the corner of the ring, he tried moving forward but got pushed behind and ended up crossing the ring, Ricky won the match. Max accepted his defeat and acknowledged Ricky.

Next, Karl called on Ben and Li Shin. Karl told Ben to remove his spectacles. Ben stuttered and said, "But Sir I can't fight properly without my spectacles"." In real combat will you say you can't see your opponent if your spectacles get destroyed ", asked Karl. Ben couldn't answer, as what Karl said was true.

Ben looked at Li Shin and sighed, Suddenly Li Shin asked the instructor, "Sir, let him wear his spectacles, I don't want to fight an opponent if he doesn't fight with his full strength". "Okay, But if any of you lose then you won't have combat classes for a year and would have to learn cyborg mod customization in that time, deal," asked Karl.

"Yes ", replied the both of them.

Ben and Li Shin moved towards their respective places.

"FIGHT",shouted Karl.

Ben didn't look at the quest as he didn't have time to look at it as the fight had started.

Ben didn't learn any combat techniques, so he had to use the martial arts technique he learned from his dad. He folded one of his hands in his back and kept one hand in the front and went into the first stance of the iron fist technique. Karl looked at Ben with shock as he had never seen a stance like this before. Li Shin was ready and started to attack first. Ben smoothly evaded all the attacks from Li Shin and hit him back with his single hand at Li's vital points. Li was muscular unlike Ben and Ben was not able to land a perfect hit on his vitals as he had not perfected the Iron fist technique. Li started to use his legs along with his hands in perfect coordination to attack Ben again, Ben again evaded all the attacks while he was evading an attack came to his blind spot and hit him on his face, which made Ben's spectacles fly away. Ben couldn't see everything as everything was blurred. The fight still continued, Li Shin started his barrage again, Ben evaded some attacks but most of them hit him hard. Ben didn't know what to do he still didn't give up he started to go offensive both of them were fighting furiously, it was the longest fight among the three, suddenly Karl shouted, "FIGHT OVER, Li Shin wins", Ben looked at the announcement with shock as he didn't know how he lost, Li Shin said silently, "you crossed the ring". Li Shin was enjoying the fight as he had never fought anyone who had lasted him for more than a minute this month.

Li Shin was a prodigy and had understood everything Karl had taught him and he was perfect in it. Karl was shocked at the martial arts displayed by Ben as he could easily counter Li Shin who was a prodigy of this class.

"Ben, What martial arts did you use?" asked Instructor Karl. " Sorry Sir, I can't answer the question as I am not your student anymore", said Ben with a smile on his face. Karl looked at Ben angrily, but he couldn't do anything since what Ben said was true and he couldn't force anyone.

Ben and Max changed and silently left the training room, as they were not a part of this class anymore.

Every student had heard the conversation between Karl and Ben and they were shocked at Ben's guts. Ricky and Kelly were sadly looking at Ben as he left. Li also sadly looked at Ben as he went, as he had lost a good sparring partner.

Karl anxiously asked the students, "What is his family number?". Someone answered "zero"
