Chapter 31 Wrong choice

"Ben why did you choose a beast species which you don't know about and look at the condition of the beast you have chosen, it is filled with scars and wounds..."

The teacher sighed and couldn't say anything more as the deed had been done.

The little beast was watching everything which was happening around it. Ben was worried about what his teacher and his friends said to him about Oreo, but he still thought that his choice was not wrong. The beast slowly moved in front of Ben and sat down near him, licked its paws, and stood in front of him, staring intently at the group in front of him. It slowly analyzed them.

Everyone looked at the beast. The little beast looked like a patched-up ugly hairless cat, they looked at it and could slowly feel its eyes locking on to theirs.

As they were watching the little beast, it slowly stood up and looked at them with a crooked smile like the grinch, Ben couldn't see what was happening as the beast was in his front.

Suddenly everyone felt an eerie feeling pass them. Everyone felt a strange killing intent spread throughout the room and it gave chills to them.

Ben looked at everyone and everything around him as they were making strange faces looking at Oreo, his little beast. Ben didn't know what to do, the noises of beasts and the strange actions of his group around him made him feel a little worried.

Oreo turned and looked at Ben and found he was troubled because of everyone's condition, so it contained its aura and went closer to Ben and rubbed on him with its body.

He slowly knelt and petted his beast and felt relaxed after he did it.

Everyone felt the noose on their necks loosen up, as Ben's little beast was petted by Ben.

They stood there silently for some time looking at Ben and the beast and they understood it was caused by Ben's beast.

Ben was not affected by the killing intent of his beast, which they understood from the fact that he was petting his beast without any trouble.

Jacob had never felt this kind of killing intent from any beasts he had seen. This killing intent was strong enough to faze him for some time even though it came only from a cub.

Jacob slowly recalled every situation and how Ben helped everyone select beasts.

Jacob now understood that Ben was special and had the ability to identify special beasts, that's why everyone relied on Ben to select their first beasts. Jacob stared at the simple-looking Ben with curiosity to understand how he was able to identify these beasts, as it was an important part for beast tamers like him. But however, he looked he couldn't see anything extraordinary in him.

Ben's group saw the Beast's smile and explained it to Ben worrying that the beast was a bit evil. Ben assured them and said innocently that "Oreo is special than every beast I ever saw and he is not evil, that smile must have been just your imagination, I never felt any killing intent from Oreo, Is that why everyone was acting strange?".

The group was silent,

"What is this I have never seen a beast like this ", said the keeper slowly as he was shocked as he had been with researchers and has seen many beasts, but he had never seen a beast cub like this.

" Ben I have also never seen a beast like this, Would you bring it to my dad so we can identify the species of the beast, the teacher also was not able to identify it", said Jasmine to which his teacher agreed.

The group members slowly joined the conversation. It was about time for them to leave for school. The keeper also became their friend after they talked for some time. It was time for them to leave the conservatory.

"Feel free to visit again", said the keeper waving them goodbyes.

They did the same and left the conservatory, they moved towards the place every student have agreed to stay. They reached the place and Mr.Jacob took attendance for every student. It was time for registering the beasts in the system so that they can take them home.
