I was thirteen and all that was in my mind was that I had made a new friend, I had completely forgotten about the incident which had happened during the lunch break, but I hoped my friends don't make a big deal out of it as I wanted to stay out of trouble as much as possible for now. I decided to wear emergency contacts which I just had in my backpack. The doctor advised me to use contacts only in an emergency and not for normal use. He said that contacts may cause infection in the eyes if they are not properly kept, I assured him that I will keep it properly, but he said that I have to be at least 18 years old to wear contacts, that was not the only reason for it they were really hard to make and were very costly (as most don't wear contacts or spectacles nowadays).

I entered the cyborg mod class just on time and found that my friends also had settled in just now. I waved to them and slowly sat on my seat, the three came closer to me and asked whether I was fine; to which I said I was, well it was true, now I felt only very little pain as I had applied medication. My friends and everyone looked at me a little strange, was it due to the contacts that I was wearing.

The teacher came in and soon everyone settled in their seats. Mrs. Sharon had decided to continue from where she had left.

She again showed the presentation and showed a picture of a gravity gun, it was also a good and rare mod, but they were easily available on the market as they were mass-produced easily. Jasmine went to the front and showed what the gravity gun can do. She literally made the table in the front float on air for 10 seconds, before she lost control and had to place the table down quickly.

Gun type mods didn't allow any visible changes to the body, by simply using your hands you can use the properties of the gun. If it has shooting options then the bullet moves simply out of your fingers. Gun-type mods were a bit exhilarating as they use a lot of mod energy, so people generally prefer a normal gun more than a mod gun.

Next Mrs.Sharon showed on the picture of a lightsaber, None of the members in the entire eighth grade or maybe the entire school had come into possession of a lightsaber, as they are extremely rare, hard to make, and extremely costly. And it was the fantasy of every star wars fan to have one to use, but still, it was very hard to create and acquire. Well except for a student in the school, and it was Max.

Max liked to show off stuff, so he waited slowly and made a dramatic entrance to the front. Everyone in the class looked at him with awe.

He came to the front and activated his mod. Lightsabers can be used in two different ways. You can use it as a normal lightsaber, the classic way as every star wars fan would want, the mod literally allows the handle to pop out of the middle of your hand, and you can use it to activate the saber, it works on the person's mod energy. The second was is that you can use it to coat other limb type mods, for example: If you have a blade type mod, you can use the lightsaber mod along with the blade type mod and it allows the blade type mod to develop a coating of energy around the blade converting it into an energy blade.

This can be done with every kind of mod and it increases the power of the mod crazily, but can be quite taxing on a person's mod energy.

Max used his saber the classic way and posed off a little bit before he cleanly sliced the table in half in front of him.

"Max!, you do know that it would be charged from you right ", said Mrs.Sharon.

"Sorry mam, got a little bit excited, won't repeat it.....", said Max and returned to his seat.

Mrs.Sharon discussed some of the stuff for some time, and then she gave an exercise for every student, explaining how to dismantle a cyborg mod, and studying its parts.

The classes were over soon. "Students next class I will be teaching you how to make cyborg mods using blueprints, make sure you practice what I taught you and also remember to study about the different kinds of materials needed to make a cyborg mod.", said Mrs.Sharon and made us go home as it was the last class of the day.

Everyone exited the classroom and walked towards the entrance hall. Everyone met there and discussed the events that took place today, Ben apologized to everyone for causing trouble. "Don't apologize, Ben, it was just an accident,We were just worried about you, and don't you ever pull off stunts like that and run away,....", everyone gave Ben an earful of advice and to make sure he understood. "Okay guys I'll try to make a stand next time", replied Ben.

"Guys make sure to come for the party don't forget about it", said Jasmine with a big smile on her face to make everyone forget about that gloomy event. "Yeah sure " "Will make it on time"

everyone agreed to come to the party.

Everyone parted ways, Ricky and Ben made it home faster, so that they can get ready to go for the party.

"Mom, I am home ", shouted Ben as he entered his home and went towards his room.

"Ben, would you come here for a second?", said Ben's mother.

Ben hurried down to ask what his mother wanted.

"Ben, did you do anything on the farms yesterday and what happened to your glasses, are you wearing contacts now ? ", asked May with an intimidating voice and both her hands on her hips.

Ben thought he was in trouble and was recalling the events which happened the other day.

"Mom, I broke my glass accidentally and I didn't do anything on the farms, but Oreo did something like a roar when I showed him around", replied Ben with a slight fright, as he was almost caught for breaking his glasses and also something had happened on the farm.

"Nothing happened to you right, I'll order a new pair from the clinic. I also got some good news for you, Oreo can stay at our home from here on and he doesn't need to stay inside the portal.", said May.

"What happened, mom? I thought I had done something and you were gonna scold me for it", said Ben shocked at what he heard, as she never liked beasts.

"Something good happened, whatever Oreo did on the field, it has increased yield and also decreased the pests in our farm, I think this year we will have a good yield and we may even be able to pay off our debts if that continues for another year", said May with a satisfied smile.

Ben's family had come into a lot of debt as they had to pay a huge sum to retain their property after Mark was executed by the government, even though Ben's father earns a huge sum by supplying food for high numbered families they had to spend most of their money on paying the debt, which Ben only came to know when Grandpa Tim explained about Great-Grandpa Mark.

Ben was relieved after what he heard and he immediately opened the portal to let Oreo out, as he had been kept inside the portal the whole day.

(Beast portal activated)

"Oreo, come out buddy", said Ben.

Oreo stepped out of the portal and gave Ben a big hug and licked his face.

"I missed you too buddy...", said Ben and looked at Oreo. Oreo had changed a lot than he saw him yesterday. Its hair was well-groomed and it was shiny, even though it was a cub, it was taller and slightly bigger than other cubs, it had slightly bushy hair around its neck.

It hung its tongue out and was arching its mouth up as if it was giving out a smile, "Buddy from here onwards you can stay in the house and you can go inside the portal if you want to use the restroom or take a bath, I have attached an Id key to your collar, whenever you want you can go in and come out of the portal, is that okay for you?", asked Ben as he knew Oreo could understand what he said. Oreo slightly nodded its head and gave a bark as if it understood.

"Mom, I'll look at the farm sometime later, now I have to get ready for the party to which Jasmine invited me too.....", said Ben and he quickly climbed the stairs. He rushed up and got ready for the party.

He put on a coat, groomed his hair looked at the mirror an ample number of times. The scars on his face had healed and he looked handsome, as he was wearing contacts instead of glasses.

Ben received a text from Ricky that he was ready and was waiting for him, So Ben quickly rushed to go to the party.

"See you mom", said Ben as he stormed out of the house. Oreo followed Ben all the way to the end of Chase's land, then Ben bid it goodbye and flew in his hoverboard to Ricky's house.

"Man, you sure got style!", exclaimed Ricky when he saw Ben. They slowly moved towards the location given on the invite by Jasmine.
