A Favour for a Cost (2)

Aether's drifting consciousness was summoned back to his body as someone nudged his shoulders. He regained his senses and lifted his head from his crossed arms on the large desk.

"Hey there, sleepyhead." Erika's cheerful voice sounded. She was sitting on a chair across the table, and Mara was sitting right next to her, though she seemed quite a bit exhausted.

"Hi." He glanced at Mara. Her hair was still a bit wet. Had they been training? "Um," He pointed at his own hair. "You should probably dry your hair if you don't want to have a headache or something."

Erika nodded. "I told her the same thing, but she insists she will be fine." She shrugged. "Anyways – how are you? It's… like, ridiculously rare to see you slacking off." She grinned with an expression that said 'gotcha!'. Aether chuckled. "I didn't sleep well," He said with a shrug. "What brings you two here though? I thought you hated the common room."
