Gathering Darkness

As they rolled downhill, Aether grabbed onto the Fae and didn't let go. He felt her claw like hands on his back and arms. By the time they finally came to a stop, his entire body ached and hurt from the claw marks.

As she tried to push him off of herself, he pulled his dagger back, out from her side. Blood dripped to the ground, a pale blue blood. The wound on her side immediately started closing, but Aether drove the dagger into her flesh once again.

"Don't you dare!" He shouted. Or so he thought, as he heard no sound at all. He ignored that little issue and pushed the Fae's hands away from his face. As she tried to get the dagger out, Aether forced himself to get up, and pointed at the ground. He needed a few moments, just long enough to cast a spell!

The ground shook, and roots burst out of the ground, enveloping the Fae in a cocoon like structure as she finally caught the hilt of the dagger still stuck in her side.
