The Story of the Elemental Hero of Darkness...
Daniel saw the sweat pouring down from the faces of teachers and other pupils. Suddenly, they all fell to their knees and bowed their heads. Some of the pupils hands started shaking as if they were scared of him... They started chanting something in unison. "ALL HAIL DANIEL, SUPREME ELEMENTAL MASTER OF - DARKNESS..."
The room went silent for a bit. Daniel was scared for his life. Why was everyone so scared of his-Then Daniel realised... Darkness... It wasn't one of the elements that was passed down from their ancerstors. Then how did he get this power? There was a million questions he wanted to ask. "Daniel, come with me" said Mrs Katrina. Daniel suddenly couldn't move. He was paralyzed to the spot. Pupils started to shout out abusive comments at him. Daniel couldn't hear any of it. His mind was blank. It took a few minutes for the teachers to calm them down. A hand grabbed him from the back, breaking him from his trance. Kirsk, the elemental hero of speed pulled him up to Mrs Katrina's office. Daniel could tell that some other kids were after him, but the were no match for Kirk's speed. When Daniel got into the room, his other eight classmates including Igor were already standing there. Harold was shivering. Daniel felt sorry for him.
It seemed that they were the only ones that weren't fazed by the reveal of his powers. Dennis walked up to him. "Your SO lucky Daniel, elemental hero of Darkness" he said with delight although Daniel could hear the worry in his voice. The others greeted him. Myra nodded at him and smiled but it didn't seem genuine. Then Mrs Katrina spoke up "There are lot's of things to discuss." she began "Daniel, there is something you must know before we continue" Daniel could feel the room getting warmer around him. "It seems that you are the only hero of Darkness" she said sympathetically. "And what's wrong with that" Daniel asked quickly. "Many things" she replied with a sigh. She turned towards the others standing at the corner. "You are dismissed, pack your things, you are leaving in 5 days" The other heroes left without a word. He looked at him with a pity look.
"Daniel" Mrs Katrina started. "The power of Darkness is known as a supreme element." Daniel already knew this. "Back in the times of your ancestors, a time where everyone knew about elemental powers and the 20 heroes, this power was feared by everyone. It was one of the rarest of the elements. Not many people possessed this power. Nobody still knows who the original creator of the element is. There were many legends but all of them were lies. Stories told by the people of the old ages. Except one." and she stopped. Daniel was listening intently to all of this. "It was a section of the Final Battle, the biggest battle in elemental hero history..."
"There was a ripped section of the original scroll, which is hidden away from evil hands. It told the story of your ancestor, the creator, they called them, who died in the hands of... The lord of Destruction. But just before he died, he did something than was eternally forbidden, he passed it down to a new generation of heroes. And he picked you..."
"The other 19 heroes managed to lock away the Lord of Destruction, until now. For millenia, the Lord of Destruction has slept along with the souls of the 20 heroes. The ten Supreme elemental heroes that didn't pass down their powers run the universe and everything in it. What happened to the other 10 are a mystery... Evil is rising and you and the other heroes must stop it. The prophecy is not clear, but you must find the ten sacred elemental stones. They are hidden away so the Lord of Destruction's minions can't them. But they are close. Get them before they do, they will help you defeat the Destruction Lord and save all of humanity from his wrath..."
Daniel let all of it sink in. At the end, he was speechless. He had nothing to say. Him and his friends were going on their first Quest that could mean they would never come back to this school again. For the first time in his life, he was truely afraid of something. His breathing got heavier and he felt drowsy. He stammered out of the headteachers office into his Dorm room. He was so happy to see his bed. He didn't see the other heroes chatting to eachother. Daniel fell into a trance followed by a terrifying vision of the near future...
