Just A Nice Lady

[The heroes haven't really enjoyed themselves ever since the quest started. So that's when they decided to take a little break. But that very thing nearly cost them their lives. Can you blame them?]

Daniel and the other heroes bolted through the city gates, laughing and enjoying themselves. They had decided to take a little break and get something to eat something that wasn't bread or biscuits. They were tired of eating the same old thing every day. They went into a restaurant, purchasing all kinds of things from the handsome about of money Mrs Katrina had given them.

Daniel felt a twinge of guilt, not only spending all this money, but leaving Dennis and the others to fend for themselves. He had to keep reminding himself that they were safe. His 'Guardian' said so himself. Daniel believed that Dennis and the other elemental heroes could fend for themselves. After all, that's why they were chosen, they were the strongest...

Everything was going fine until they went into a cafe. The lady at the front desk greeted them. They noticed that the place was unusually quiet. Daniel thought this was strange, especially when there were so many people roaming around outside. The lady at the front was always smiling and unusually happy.

Daniel told her than the five of them wanted orange juice. "Anything else?" the lady asked, still smiling. "No thanks" they all replied. "Ok enjoy your stay" she said and went into the staff room. Daniel immediately knew something was wrong. What she said didn't sound right...

He looked at the other heroes. They were thinking the same thing. Before they realised that something was wrong, something hard hit the heads of the heroes at the same time. Before Daniel could react to the pain, he saw somone putting a cloth over their mouths.

Daniel knew what it was. Gas to put them asleep. He could see from the corner of his eyes, the Catherine, Igor, Alicia and Edger struggling. Other similar looking men in suits put a cloth over their faces. They screamed but no one could help them.

Daniel could smell the harsh stench of the chemicals. It made him drozy and his eyes grew heavier...

Daniel was mad at himself. He should have known the Lord of Destruction would be sending and hiring people to stop them. 'To prove that they were worthy' Daniel thought, right before he blacked out.
