Daniel was worried for Harold. He remembered the night before. He was all green and sick. Catherine thought that he had been poisoned somehow. But nobody was one hundred percent sure.
"What do we do" Alicia whispered to Catherine. "I'm not sure" she said, wearily. "We can't keep going without him. The ten of us have to fight together to defeat the Dark Lord. That's how it's supposed to be. The Dark Lord has risen twice before. And have tried twice more, but ten heroes have always stopped him..."
"Well how do we cure him?" asked Dennis. Harold made a terrible sound. A gurgling sound and white liquid poured out of his mouth. Daniel looked away, disgusted. He felt sorry for Harold. He didn't do anything to deserve this.
Daniel wondered whether someone DID poison him. He thought it could've been King Malin or the Darklings. But something nagged at the back of his head. 'TRAITOR' said a voice in his head. Daniel froze.
His eyes widened. 'What was that?' he thought. "Traitor?" he whispered. "What?" asked Klara, who was standing next to him. Daniel looked up. "Nothing" he said.
"I'll try and make some kind of medicine" said Catherine. "But it'll take time" She instantly got to work. She knelt down next to Harold and took his temperature. Daniel saw the reading. It was too high. "Oh no, this is worse than I thought" Catherine whispered in a sad tone.
"Alicia and Bonnie, make sure Harold keeps warm. Everyone else, i'll give you a list of ingrediants. Find them." she said, writing down a list of things she might need. Daniel was mesmerized by her efficiency. Daniel smiled. He didn't know what the group will do without her.
"Daniel, what are you waiting for?" Catherine asked. Daniel snapped out of his trance and followed the other heroes into the woods...
They started looking for the things on the list. But Daniel was disturbed. He wasn't fully concentrating. 'TRAITOR?' he said to himself. 'Could there really be a traitor in our group?' Daniel thought. 'YES' said the voice from before. Daniel jumped.
Everyone looked around to look at him. "Daniel, what's up, you've been acting strange" said Edger. "Yeah" said Myra with a worried tone. Daniel didn't want to worry the other heroes. But there was no point keeping it a secret. He took a deep breathe and said:
"There might be a traitor in our group..."
