And then there were nine. Igor disappeared in a blink of an eye. Daniel didn't know whether Igor really betrayed the heroes of whether he did it under the Dark Lord's influence. Mind control is forbidden and only true elemental power holders are able to achieve it.
Nobody spoke to eachother. They walked on mindlessly, tired and dirty, not knowing what the future has in store for them. How will they defeat the Lord of Destruction without Igor. Daniel ddn't know.
The heroes heard a cackle of thunder and a display of lightning and a bang. "A thunderstorm, in the middle of Spring?" asked Edger, annoyed. "Ooooh" said Myra, smiling at the lightning bolts. "We haven't seen a thundestom in 5 months" said Catherine.
"This isn't natural" said Klara, frowning. "I couldn't sense any bad weather just a few hours ago" This got everyone's attention. Klara had the ability to predict future weather. "We better get shelter then" said Daniel.
A jolt of lighning hit the ground near Bonnie making her jump. "I think your right" she said, taking a deep breathe. But before they could find shelter, a zap of lightning appeared from the sky. It didn't go away. It stayed there. It sizzled and cracked.
"That definitely isn't natural" Daniel shouted, raising his weapon. The lightning seemed to melt away and a creature stood in it's place. It shot out lightning occassionaly and thunder struck whenever it's head moved. "Where do you think you're going" it whispered with a sly smile. "Come to me, children and we can have fun" it said.
"Not happening, creep" said Myra and she sent a ball of lightning at the creature. "How dare you!" it shouted. The bolt didn't harm the creature. "Who are you?" asked Myra, confused. Nobody could withstand one of her lightning bolts.
"I am the father of lightning. Your father's worst nightmare. I am... the lightning personified, DoomStruck" it said confidently. Myra took a step back. Just for a second, she looked terrified. Daniel thought Myra had heard of the lighning creature before.
But Myra was determined. "Eat this" she said, throwing her weapon, the lighning boomerang at DoomStruck. It flew across the field, covered in holes from the lightning bolts. Lighning struck and trees toppled over. The boomerang glowed as it travlled towards DoomStruck.
But the creature just stood there. Just when the heroes thought it hit the creature, its hand came up and caught it. The weapon disintegrated into power in an instant. "My boomerang!" Myra shouted. A mix of sadness and anger filled her.
The heroes jumped in to help, but Myra called them back. "This is my battle" she said confidently. Daniel never saw her this determined. The other heroes understood. They knew what its like to get treated badly, expecially when it's against a villain sent by the Dark Lord. She wasn't going to loose to someone with the same elemental power as her.
Myra did something unexpected. Daniel watched as her hand filled with lightning. She suddenly knelt down and smashed the lightning bolt into the floor. Dust floated up, covering the whole 'battlefield'
Everyone was blinded. Daniel coughed. Dust went into his eyes and throat. 'What is she doing?' Daniel thought, confused. "Come get me" Daniel heard Myra shout. Daniel saw of glimpse of Myra running towards DoomStruck, who was waving its hand desperately, trying to settle the dust. But it only made it worse.
Myra ran towards the creature from the back, both hands together and lightning started to form in her hands. It was larger than ever, filled with trillions of volts of lighning. She used a tree to jump into the air and spun around and a ball of lighning, as big as the creature itself, hit the creature. The lighning bolt gulped DoomStruck whole.
The creature gave a small scream before silence returned. Everyone was blown back by the sheer amount of energy released by Myra. 'How did she see in the dust?' Daniel thought, smiling. He didn't care. Myra single-handedly took out another one of the Dark Lord's minions...
