18.Eleanor Lee (6)

" A very good morning to those who didn't disturb my sleep and to the rest who rudely barged into my room in the middle of the night, do expect to hear from my lawyer soon. " Ellen said with a dark face. She pulled the dining chair and sat down.

" Which gazelles disturbed my sister's sleep, are they asking to die? "

Song Ming a handsome young man in his early twenties asked. He had a weird tensed smile on his face.

He was Song Enya's younger brother. He was 23 years old and was three years younger than her.

Song Ming's black hair was a bit messy which gave him a playful look. He had worn a white T-shirt that was casually tucked into his black pants. His features were striking and he had same round brown eyes like his sister.

He looked at Ellen with a charming obedient smile and continued. " Sis, did you have a good night? Are still tired from yesterday's flight? I can ..."

Ellen rolled her eyes and interrupted his nagging questions. " By ' those' I meant uncle Song." She gave the middle aged man who was the two sibling's father, Song Wei a beautiful smile.

He was a good looking man in his early fifties. His children must have inherited most of his striking features. His wife had died years ago when Song Enya was 10 years old and had since then never remarried but devoted his life to his children until they became adults.

Ellen in fact envied the siblings for having such a father who always put them before anything and was always ready to protect them with his own life. She liked him a lot and took him like a father to her and a grandfather to her children.

" Old Song, you look too handsome and young this morning. What are we having for breakfast, I missed your cooking for the last 3 months since you left. "

Song Wei blushed and he poured a glass of milk for Sherry to hide it. He was used to Ellen's bluntness.

" You and your sweet mouth! Eat, I prepared your favorite rice noodles."

Ellen grinned, " Old Song, you love me the most."

Song Ming watched their interaction with a sour face. He hated to be ignored the most. " Hey Sis! Why do you always ignore my good will? " He questioned accusingly.

" Shut your mouth or leave the table," Ellen warned him with an indifferent look and began to eat.

" You people always bully me, I'm beginning to doubt whether you're my family." He pouted and began to whine like a child.

" Okay, everyone should eat, don't make our little Ming sad," Song Wei waved at everyone to continue eating. It was always like that whenever all of them were together at home.

There'd always be bickerings, teasings, fights and a lot of noise. From his son's childishness, to Song Enya's sharp and rough mouth, Ellen's arrogance and bluntness, to her drama queen of a daughter, to the little boy seated silently who always behaved like a little mature young man always giving people his cold expression, everyone was a mess. He felt a headache when he remembered another possessed person who was yet to come and another freeloader doctor who he always wondered how he qualified for that profession.

Although he always had a headache because of those youngsters, he was still happy because everyone was happy and at peace. The mood was delightful. Especially Ellen who was happily laughing with the rest.

He sighed softly when he remembered that, that was not the case 5 years ago. For a whole year, she never spoke a word. He forced a slight smile and pushed the unpleasant memories out of his mind.

Ellen chuckled without taking her eyes off her food. Song Ming stiffened and narrowed his eyes at her. He had an omnious feeling when he saw her looking at him with a sly smile.

" Turns out our little Ming boy is no longer little. Ask about his entire night's whereabouts."

Song Ming's eyes popped open and his face paled. He pointed his index finger at Ellen, " What?! How did you know?! I mean..." He quickly withdrew his finger when he saw the shocked expressions of the rest.

Ellen saw his flustered look and chuckled. She had just chanced upon him sneaking into the house early that morning before the others had woken up when she had gone to fetch a glass of water.

She decided exposing him at that time would be boring. And this was what she was looking forward to.

Song Ming saw her stifling a laugh and clenched his fist.

 ' This woman! '

She intentionally made him expose himself. He felt a headache coming when he saw the dark look on his father's face. Fear crossed his face and he quickly started complaining to Song Wei.

" Dad! Do you actually believe this woman? She's obviously creating a misunderstanding between us. Y... you can ask my friend, I went to see him and the rest. We haven't met for the last 5 years! !" He began to whine, " All of you never trust me, all you do is bully me."

 Bang!

Song Enya slammed her chopsticks on the plate and glared at him. " Can't we have a peaceful meal for once? Stop being a sissy! "

Song Ming gulped when he saw the chilly look on his sister's eyes. He pouted and looked at Sherry lovingly after glaring at Song Enya.

" Hmph! Who cares about you, little Sherry, when you're done eating uncle will take you to see little monkeys okay? "

He looked at Sherry expectantly. Sherry rolled her eyes at him. " Mingming uncle, who said I want to go with you, you called me a gazelle, " she pouted with an angry little face.

" What? When did I ... " Song Ming was flustered. His eyes shot to the silent boy eating elegantly like a little gentleman, pleading for help. Liam shot him a cold and disdainful look and sneered at his childishness. " You're too noisy. " He told him off nonchalantly making his (Song Ming) expression dull.

" Little Ellen, " Sherry called Ellen her chin resting on her tiny hand with furrowed brows, " you said you've a lawyer, when did you get one? Does he look like Song grandpa or is he young? Is he good looking?"

Song Wei rubbed the nape of his neck with a sigh. He could not count the number of times those children left him speechless. They always never acted like their age. Especially Sherry, for god's sake she was only 4 years old. What was she implying? Was he that old? He just turned 50!!!

When Ellen heard Sherry's questions, her face darkened and she glared at her making the little girl gulp in fear.

She may have been a brave and strong girl but she feared her mother's temper the most. Her sharp and icy eyes were enough to freeze someone.

" Shut your mouth. " Ellen said coldly. Sherry shrinked back and murmured softly although all could hear her. " Little Elly is usually so fierce, where will she get a husband? She worrys baby so much." She held her forehead with a serious expression worryingly.

" Hahaha... I've finally had my revenge, little Elly you're the best Sis ever!" Song Ming's face lit up and bursted into laughter.

Everyone followed suit in amusement knowing that Sherry was staging an act to earn sympathy from Ellen so that she'd let her off. Ellen rolled her eyes.

 ' What a drama queen. '

" I've had enough, " Song Wei got up from his seat after he was done with his breakfast and instructed, " Ming you're doing the dishes."

Song Ming stood up and gritted his teeth. " Dad, I just came yesterday! What about Sun Sun?" He glared at Song Enya disdainfully.

" She's accompanying me to open the restaurant. " Song Wei answered calmly before walking out.

" You're all too unfair, how annoying!!" Song Ming grumbled as he entered the kitchen.
