Li Zixuan had been called back to the mansion by his dad to discuss some business matters. Since Li Jian was together with him in the office, he decided to tag along with his brother. He kept talking while the aloof man just nodded exiting the car from the back seat.

" Big brother, Wu Cheng and the rest called. They'd like to meet up for some drinks. "

" I'm busy. " Li Zixuan dryly answered while walking off.

Ellen was walking by the poolside in the garden when she heard the noises.

Her head unconsciously turning, her eyes fell on the two handsome men. The one in grey t-shirt and jeans was tagging behind the older one in big strides.

Her gaze shifted to the one in front. He wore an expensive tailor made suit that perfectly fitted his tall body.

His temperament was refined, aloof and noble and his features were perfect. His face was devoid of any expression and he gave off an icy aura that seeped from his bones.

Ellen's expression immediately changed and her eyes widened when she saw his deep blue eyes on his clean face.

She felt as if she had been struck by lightning and her heart started pounding hard and fast. She stood frozen staring at him with wide eyes.

' No way it's him! How can it be him... '

Suddenly, her heart felt a stabbing pain. Her pretty face paled as a thin layer of perspiration appeared on her forehead.

In a haste she placed one hand on her chest with difficulty trying to adjust her breathing.

" There's nothing much to be done in the company anyway. "

" If you're that free... " Li Zixuan suddenly paused when his eyes fell on a very familiar figure few meters from where he was standing.

Their gazes met and he felt like his head was spinning as he blacked out in shock.

Before he could comprehend what was happening, he saw a maid intentionally knocking down the frozen woman.

A loud splash was heard when the unalarmed woman plunged into the swimming pool.

She made no movement after completely being submerged into the deep blue waters of the swimming pool.

Li Zixuan's heart greatly palpitated as he dashed towards the pool in a lightning speed. He quickly tossed his jacket aside and agilely dived into the water.

Curious eyes gazed at the pool in shock and confusion. Those who were outside moved closer while those who heard the commotion from inside ran out in curiosity.
