"What's wrong with Mia?" Gabriella asked wide-eyed. After handing the baby on her lap to her husband, she rushed to help Julian carrying the secretary to the bench.

“Mia said someone grabbed her leg, but there's nothing. Maybe she was too scared to hallucinate,” Julian explained before taking a kneeling position in front of the secretary. After noticing the girl's blank stare, he sighed. "I have to buy a drink for her."

"Let me do it. You stay here to take care of Mia,” Gabriella said as she patted herself. Without waiting for approval, the woman slid toward the rows of food stands.

After Gabriella left, Julian's gaze returned to Mia's pale face. The girl was still struggling to catch her breath. Wrinkles that are rarely shown, were clearly visible at the base of her eyebrows.

"Hey, we're safe. You have nothing to fear anymore," Julian said softly.

Unfortunately, the girl did not answer. She only maintained an uneasy look that made anyone who saw her wonder.
