Chapter 79: The Blade of Death and The Medallion Of Life

"Your first riddle is," Azreal continued. Obed then swallowed a muscle of saliva as he was shaking.

"You measure my life in hours and I serve you by expiring. I'm quick when I'm thin and slow when I'm fat. The wind is my enemy." "What I'm I," Azreal asked. "You can take all the time you want, I don't care," Azreal continued.

"Master, this is the hardest riddle I've ever faced since you started to use me," Magnus replied.

"Wait, do you mean you don't know the answer," I asked.

"Of course," Magnus replied.

"Damn this is going to be hard," Obed said to himself.

"I've you gotten an answer yet sweetheart," Azreal asked. "You have spent more than 3 minutes on this question," she proceeded with. Obed then decided to think of the answer. "At least God should have told me I was going to asked riddles," Obed said to himself.

"Master, I've got three answers for the riddle but I don't know which one is the correct one unless you choose," Magnus let out. "Well, what are the options," Obed asked. "Candle, Torchlight, and bulb," Magnus replied. "Bulb won't work," Obed said. "We have to choose between torchlight and candle," Magnus answered back. Obed then turned and looked at Azreal who was sitting on the throne and holding her scythe.

"I've gotten the answer to your first riddle," Obed announced.

"Oh, and what might it be," Azreal replied.

"The answer is Candle," Obed declared.

Azreal was stunned when Obed found out the answer. "It appears you have won your first riddle," Azreal smiled. "Shall we move on," she asked. "Right," Obed replied.

"Your second riddle is," Azreal announced.

"I have keys, but no locks and space, and no rooms. You can enter, but you can't go outside. What am I?" she asked.

"Now this is what I call murder," Magnus replied. "Why do you say so," Obed asked. "Because I've run out of options," Magnus retorted.

"Damn, so now I have to use my head this time," Obed snorted. Obed then looked at Azreal as she was smiling. "Funny for me it looks like I don't know the answer to this riddle," Obed announced. "So are you going to give up on this second riddle," Magnus inquired. Obed then placed his hand on his head. "What else should I do?" "You and I don't know the answer," Obed responded. "I have to swallow my pride and just tell Azreal that I don't know the answer," Obed said.

Obed then looked at Azreal one more time and answered, "I'm flattered by the riddle you just imposed on me right now but to me, I don't know the answer." "So that means you pass right," Azreal asked. Obed nodded his head as Azreal sighed. "This was the simplest of all riddles," she announced. "The answer is keyboard," Azreal said.

"What the..., keyboard," Obed yelled. "Well, you won 1 and lost 1," Azreal announced. "Last riddle," she said. "This last riddle I need to win it no matter what," Obed said. "Are you ready," Azreal asked.

"How many letters are in the alphabet?" Azreal asked.

"Oh well, that's easy, the answer is ....," Obed said as he was about to answer. "Master wait," Magnus said. "This riddle is a tricky one," Magnus continued. "What do you mean," Obed asked. "I know you are coming to mention twenty-six but that's not the answer," Magnus explained. "So what do you want me to do then," Obed asked. "Listen to the keyword in the riddle," Magnus explained. Obed then asked Azreal to repeat the riddle one more time. Azreal repeated the riddle and still, Obed couldn't find the solution. "I'm not helping this time," Magnus said. Obed then had to think.

"So what's the answer?" What's the keyword," Obed asked himself. Obed then thought and thought and thought until finally, he got the clue.

"So the clue is 'The Alphabet'," Obed said to himself.

Obed then called Azreal out. "I know this riddle is a tricky one but I've found the answer," Obed said. "And what do you think it is," Azreal asked. "The answer is eleven," Obed declared. "What, how did you figure it out," Azreal asked. I noticed the keyword, 'the alphabet'," Obed explained. Azreal then smiled and laughed. "So you have gotten 2 correct and 1 wrong but still it doesn't qualify you to get the blade of death," Azreal explained. "You know the rules," Azreal said. "One last riddle," Obed answered. "Here's your last riddle," Azreal said.

"How can the number four be half of five?" Azreal asked.

"A number four on behalf of five," Obed said to himself.

"I should have known," Obed said.

"The answer is the Roman numeral IV," Obed announced. "The Roman numeral for four which is 'half' (two letters) of the word five," Obed explained.

"How did you figure out the answer," Magnus and Azreal asked. "Because I'm brilliant," Obed bluffed. "It seems you have won this contest Life Sucker," Azreal said. Soon Azreal told Obed to accompany them into the room where the blade of Death was held. "Err, Azreal, when I'm I going to see my friends again," Obed asked.

"So you still remember your friends," Azreal asked. "You have been here for a short while and you remember your friends," Azreal asked. "Why do you say so," Obed asked. "You know that this world is different from your world and it's been years since your friends have seen and but here you see it to be months," Azreal explained.

Finally, we arrived at where the blade of death was kept. Azreal then reached out her hand as she removed the blade of death from the case. "This blade is the primary component of the weapon so I'm entrusting to you," Azreal announced. Obed then took the blade from Azreal. "Also, one more piece is the Medallion of Life," Azreal explained. "What does it do," Obed asked.

"It's capable of healing while also granting divine knowledge to the wearer," Azreal explained. Azreal then handed over the medallion to Obed. Obed took it and thanked Azreal. "Gather all the pieces of the flaming and go teach our naughty aliens a lesson," Azreal declared.

Soon everything was becoming blurry as Obed was leaving the Angel of Death kingdom. "Till we meet again Life Sucker," Azreal said and Obed disappeared.
