Chapter 3: Breaking in

I'm on the run and I broke into a house. I'm currently taking a shower and brown and red just run off me in droves. I haven't taken a shower minus the every so often hose offs.

Grime blood and dirt. I scrubbing everything. Even Maze is in the shower with me and all of the blood, guts, and skins came off her to. I don't know how long I've been in here in the warm water but it felt very nice.

- Time skip 5 hours -

The waters starting to get cold and I got out and dried off. I looked in the mirror for the first time in 3 years. I had black hair with what looks like blue highlights in it. I have soft brown skin with blue isis that look light they constantly have fire or lightning coursing through them. Though I still look underfed and malnourished. I also had a lot of scars all throughout my body but luckily none on my face.

I started going through the rooms. Everything was to big for me until I found a little girls room. I took some cloths from the closet. All the ones I. The dresser were too big for me. I took some underwear with blue jeans and a plain black shirt with a hoodie in wonder woman colors on with her words. I'm using Maze as a scarf.

I went through the adults room and during the closet I found a scalpel in a box with some photos of an old man and a kid. I also found backpack that will fit me. I took them both while putting the scalpel in my hoodie pocket where I can reach it easily. I also found some soil and grow some paralysis plants. They have a clear liquid in the blue pod. It's different from before.

I went into the kitchen and grabbed some food that was left out. It looked like a ham and cheese sandwich. I warmed it up and ate it. It tasted really good, no mold no anything. I then got a glass of water and it was clears. I started guzzling it until I get full which took a good 5 minutes.

I started going through their kitchen again and took a lot of their bottle water and canned food. It mostly filled up the middle layer of the backpack while the back one was clothes. The front one was still free though I put some of the pods in it.

I laid down on the couch and it was very comfy. I just pulled a pillow and Maze cuddle up to me. And I allowed the darkness to take me. Then I hear some voice of a something that called herself Gaia about a Sirens and a Poison Ivy.

- Devin, Police officer POV -

I finally got home after the slave driver Gordon had everyone out looking for the little girl called Rose that murdered her parents. We don't even have a positive if on her and we're supposedly look for her. Well anyway I finally got off and went out for a date with my Fiancé. I talked to her about the child.

We had a nice meal right off of work and I'm on my way to her house. She lives with her parents but they are never there, usually their at work or their other place. But we're finally their. The door was slightly ajar so I told Evelyn to wait while I got check in side.

I had my hand on my gun when I went in. Evelyn was scared but followed even though I didn't want her to.

When we got in most everything was in place except in the kitchen. Our nonperishable were looted with most of our bottle water. Then behind us I heard a schuffle on the floors and turned around. Their was a Indian child, about six or seven based on her height. But when I look at her she's incredibly malnourished.

She lunged at me and knocked me with the knife in her hands and then I couldn't move. But then I head a body drop and I knew it was Evelyn. "What did you do to her!"

Then I heard a scatchy voice coming from her, "same thing I did to you." She was roaming across my body and then I heard some strap being removed. I tried to look and see what it was but I couldn't tell. But then she looked for more I I knew she had my gun and she was looking for more ammo.

Then shuffling and it looked like she was moving Evelyns body. Now I was looking at the girls backside but she moved Evelyn so I was looking at her. "Now I have some questions for you."

"Sure," Evelyn was terrified, not because of the child but because what she was holding close to my eye, the scalpel.

"First, only the girls are talking if I hear a peep out of you," she moved the scalpel closer to my eyes, "you die or blind. Got it?"

"Y-Yes." Evelyn was barely able to talk.

"Ok then, we're can I find something to help with malnutrition?"

"P-probably the nutrition shots. WayneTech just produced them for children in African countries."

"Where?" After she told her more came after it, "where or what is a place called the Sirens?"

"It's a bar, run by 3 of some of the most ruthless, powerful, and sane female supervillains."

"Where?" After she told, "what's a Poison Ivy?" She was holding her head like she was in pain.

"What? Why?" After she told everything she knew including that she was an owner of said bar. The girl said thank you and pulled the scalpel away from my eyes. "Can I ask you a question?"

As she said that I though why Evelyn, why. Do you want to get us killed? But surprisingly the girl said "sure, go ahead."

"Are you the girl from the news, Rose Smith."

"News what's news, also yes I am that Rose but I changed my name. I am now Rose Mackenzie. Got it?"

"Yes, why did you come here?" My god Evelyn, shut up.

The girl actually looked remorseful, "sorry this was the first place I found and it had everything I needed for the second. You even seem like nice people. I even had restful sleep for the first time in years." Now she looked like she was reliving memories. "Sorry, the paralysis will wear off in 6 hours. And if you tell I'll gutcha. I'm still fucking insane got it. *sigh* Hopefully you enjoy each other's company. Peace." Then some scuffling like she was leaving and silence.
