12 years ago, I was only 11 when my birth mother fell sick and her illness only seemed to get worse. Not long after she died leaving me and my little sister Tian An, Tian Yao motherless. After so many years I still remember the night when she left us...

I shook my head in disagreement but I knew in my mind already that she was quite weak already. " An An you are quite a sensible child for your age but I want you to watch over your older brother, he has quite a temper so he will make rash decisions you must remind him to take it slowly ok," Addressing my father mummy said " Your highness, thank you for everything. After I die do watch over Tian You and Tian An for me. Although You'er always defies you, you guys are alike in every aspect, treat them both with patience and kindness. I'll leave them both in your hands..." Shi Ying mei mei*(3) although we have our difference, I hope you could at least treat my kids as your own," my mother commanded " Tao ma ma* (4) take An An and You er away," as serval maids came to bring us out of the room I struggled against my will as I saw mother breathing her last breath.
