Chapter 92: Your poison seems to have worsen (1):

"I have to make a visit to your brother's chambers, so I won't be able to deal with the next exam. You as my dearest junior brother are going to deal with it," I explained as Shang Guan Tao glared at me. "What?" I asked acting naive. "Why is it always me? Like I have been called here for nothing. I am meant to be on my honeymoon with my wife as well," he grumbled. "I know, I know. But I'm sure you can help your only senior brother," I added as he sighed in defeat. I know Shang Guan Tao doesn't want to be here yet he will still help me.

"How you feeling?" he asked whilst looking straight at me. "Even more sleepier but I should be fine," I muttered clutching my head. I shouldn't usually have this feeling. I wonder why today felt worse than normal. I know my han poison won't abrupt until tonight. So what's with this weird feeling? It's as if something bad is about to happen. "Are you sure you're ok?" he asked looking at me in concern as I nodded my head and dismissed myself of these thoughts.

"Right, let's talk about the important things first," I started as he nodded. "Right for the game of go test it's just a puzzle I have set up. All you need to do is let them make sure white wins. However, I have a feeling that not everyone will win past my game. Whoever lasts the longest no matter if they beat the puzzle will win. This is the puzzle," I showed him on the board.

"The black keys are mine and the white are the opponents," I mumbled, " Can you remember it?" I asked as Tao Didi nodded. I believed him as his memory was always the best out of all of us. I wiped the pieces out of the way and as I did this my body swayed a little but I clutched myself just in time.

"Let me see you out," I muttered as I stood up. At this moment my whole body swayed and I could see everything spinning. "Childe! Childe, are you alright?" I heard Yu Xuan scream before I fainted.

When I woke up I was already sitting in the middle of the jade pool. Normally, I would feel warm and cosy yet right now I wasn't warm. It was just a cold feeling My fingertips seemed to be icy as well.

"Ah, you are awake," announced Shang Guan Tao as everyone turned their heads towards me. Everyone had this painful expression on their face. "Guys, what's with the expression? Is there something wrong with me?" I asked.

"Would you like to hear the good or bad news first?" Shang Guan Yue asked. "Good," I mumbled. I really ain't in the mood to listen to some bad news right now. "The good news is that you don't need to take that medicine anymore. I know you really despise it," Shang Guan Yue explained. Well, this surely was good news. I really really hate drinking that medicine. I would be fine with it if I had to take it once a year but no. I have to take it once a month.

Now it comes to the bad news. I have a feeling I know what this is about. "Now the bad news... Tian You, you must promise me to stay calm when I say this. Understand?" asked Shang Guan Yue as I nodded. He called me by my normal name. This must mean it's quite a serious topic right?
