Alex's journey felt like it never ended. He had the feeling that he had been there on that plane for many, many hours. for days. He just wanted to get to Chicago soon and finally be able to talk to Camilla.

All the way through, he thought about how he and Camilla would interact. Initially, she would reject him, but he would explain himself, apologize and she would accept. They loved each other. They would hug, kiss and he could caress her belly, which by now must have been big.

The scenario where she just said 'no' and sent him to hell wasn't an option in his mind. He knew, deep down, that was probably what would happen once he got to know Camilla. For a moment of madness, he let himself be blinded by jealousy and suspicion and ended up making her walk away from him. But he wanted to trust that their love was greater than anything. It had to be.
