2 Weeks later
It's been 2 weeks since I teach them about science. What I teach them about is a very complex thing that even an adult would be hard to understand in this world. It's so hard that it makes you want to question yourself, why are we still here just to suffer.
Well, I only teach them about how we breath the air around us and it's oxygen. If it's in my previous world, even a kid would understand it but in this world they be like
"wtf we're breathing this oxygen thingy?! Is it dangerous?!. Mom come pick me up I'm scared."
They think it was dangerous because oxygen is being used as ingredient to create fire so that's why they afraid if they're gonna explode or something. I said to them it's not dangerous and comfort them.
So today is the day I'm going to Lorra house to start the magic training. They have been so eager to use magic after learning the very basic of science on breathing and today is the day.
"Yo Sensei!"
"Yo Sensei!"
Said both of them with a smiling face.
Our relationship has been more close since then and right now we always been together even at school. The other kids at school were giving me a glare because me a commoner are friends with the school idol. Yea.... Lorra is the school idol because she is so pretty. But I heed no mind to them.
"Alright you kids! Lets see the bore of the fruit you guys have been learning all this time. Don't worry, trust me you'll be able to use magic easily."
Then they start to create a fire magic chantlessly. Both of then manage to do it flawlessly
"Woahhhh! I can use Fire affinity magic! Ya-hoooo!!!" Said Lorra happily..
"Wow I didn't know it was gonna be this easy..." Karv muttered..
"Alright now try pouring more mana to create bigger flames"
They start increasing the firepower slowly.
"WOAHHH!!! MY FIRE IS SO BIG MWUAHAHAHA!! I CAN BURN EVERYTHING DOWN MWUAHAHAHAHA!!!" Laugh Lorra like a psycopath
"I see.... But mine's bigger... KUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!" Said Karv laughing hysterically
"Oh? Wanna see mine?" I said grinningly, I then created the longest straight fire to the sky. Reaching about 500 meter straight to the sky.
"Wait that is not fair! That can not even be called big, that is long!" Said Karv
"Well if I make it big, this entire house property will get destroy."
No, more correctly this entire kingdom will engulf with my flame if I truly want to use my magic
After finish playing around we start trying water magic too.
"Alright I wanna see 3 water orb floating in the air right now from your right hand."
"Yes Sir!" Both of them replied
After an hour of waiting they managed to create 3 water orb floating. Well the reason they took an hour to create is because it is like multi-tasking.
"WOAH!!! I'm dual elemental now!! FINALLY I CAN BRAG TO MY BROTHERS" Shout Karv.
"Wow if it was this easy then is there easier way to learn other magic element?" Question Lorra to me.
"Well fire and water is the easiest but if you wanna learn about wind and earth, you need to learn more about science because they're more complex than just learning what you're learning right now, and it probably take you guys 1 year just to understand the concept of it. Even if you understand it, it doesn't mean you guys can use right away."
I said explaining to them.
"I se- hol- up... so you mean you can also use wind and earth element too?!" Said Karv
"................yes..."
"What the f dude that's crazy, you could be famous if you reveal that at school and you can also learn more from the principle at this school called."
"Well... I don't wanna be famous tbh so right now I'm hiding my ability. You see if I got famous, there will be some guy jealous of it and tryna kill me." I said the kill part as joke.
"Yeah you're right."
Hol up....
"So what do we do now?" Said Lorra after playing around with her water magic
"The next 2 week, I'm gonna teach you the variety of ways to use magic. You see at school you need the chant to use magic, but actually that's only to let the mana flow correctly and that's why they use chant but what I'm gonna teach you is more like the way to utilized more of your magic after you've understand basic science."
"I see, so what kind of magic we're gonna be using later?" Ask Lorra
"This...."I said as I create a water from my palm and shoot it. After that I create the same water but in my hand is in gun shape and the water is smaller than before and shoot it. The damage differ for both of them. The waterball I shoot damaged appeared to be large and spread while the bullet shape water penetrate the dummy and leaving a small perfect hole on it.
"Wow how did you do that?! Are not that is high tier spell?" Said Karv
"Well I don't know about it being high tier so I can't say anything about that. We're gonna be learning this for our next 2 week training and this next 2 week is gonna be our final training class. Prepared yourself because I will be testing you guys."
"Yes Sir!" Replied both of them
Another 2 Weeks later
Alright today is the day. I've decided that during the last day, both of them gonna battle each other (not to death of course) and the winner got to fight me. They both have been training really hard after seeing how magnificently I used magic and train everyday to try to fight me by winning this battle. Lorra ensure our safety after she ask her family to buy her some healing potion. Yeah there is healing potion in this world but it's nothing if you compared it to a real healer.
"Alright both of you, today is the day for me to see how far have you guys gotten after 1 month practicing from scratch. Let me see what you got. START!"
They both start to fight. Karv start by creating a 4 water orb around his back and his front. And throw all 4 of those orb to her at a considerable speed and create a vaporized them in front of Lorra. Lorra was trying to block the waterball but soon realized what happen. Yeah, the water vaporized and turn into some kind of smoke to blind her eyes.
Karv then throw a continuous fireball at her direction at a frightening speed but at not the same speed that I can do with my water bullet. Then he stopped....
He was shocked because Lorra create a 3 layer shape barrier around herself to protect. I see, her strategy is probably too let Karv continuously use magic to drain his mana. Well I realized this when we were training that Lorra have more mana capacity than Karv. Karv strategy is probably to use suprise attack and end it fast so she doesn't get to think fast enough and because he has lower mana capacity but his plan failed after seeing the water barrier. He never expect something like water barrier, what he expect was for her to run around so he can prepared to surprise attack the moment she get out from the smoke or get hit by it during the smoke.
Well for a magician who have a shorter mana capacity, they try to make the battle ends quickly because the longer they fight the more disadvantage for a magician with lower mana capacity and the reason for that is because the continuous usage of mana.
Lorra smiling and then she start to create fireball and throw at Karv who can't understand what's happening because this is his first time seeing something like this. Let me say this barrier is not hard to make but still it is not as easy thinking "wall!" but yeah it's still harder than creating a water orb and creating 3 layer of it is impressive.
"The Winner is Lorra" I said announcing it.
"Ya-hoo! I win!!" Said Lorra happily.
Well she win because she got more mana than Karv and because Karv ran out of mana after trying to block her continuous attack and also her barrier should be consuming large portion of her mana but she looks like fine. So she won because of water barrier + large mana storage. Her strategy is not bad but if she ran out of mana at that time, it could be fatal. While Karv strategy I think is good but continuously attack without knowing what the enemy can do is kinda dumb. If the enemy could block it with ease and he ran out of mana because he continuously throwing mana away by attacking them he could die right now because of that carelessness.
I explained them this and said to Lorra to be prepared for tomorrow. I may be handicapping myself but even in handicap I'm still strong. I can only use one element during the fight. The next day"
Sensei please don't hold back against me even if you were handicap right now."
Don't hold back? I see. Well I'll go all out just for her to see. I choose to use water magic to fight against her. I know her specialty is water and that's why I decided to fight her against her own specialty just to destroy her.
"Ok you may START NOW!" Shout Karv
I then created a water and filled this place with water until it reach a knee level. Lorra doesn't understand what I'm doing and instead she's still guarding by creating a barrier. After that I show her my true power.
I jump and freeze the entire training ground with the water I used and ran straight at her who's at her knee to her feet is froze. She was shocked at what happen but I ignore that. Then I created an Ice Sword from my right hand while running straight at her. Karv and Lorra couldn't show more shock face after seeing this. I then freeze her barrier and destroy it all 3 layer, aim my sword at her.
"I have lost sensei..." Said Lorra
"The WINNER IS SENSEI!" Shout Karv
"What's with that ice, aren't you said you will be using one element and also how did you created ice?!" Shout Lorra with a face almost want to cry after I overwhelm her.
Well she's the one who ask me to not hold back.
"That's water if you lower the temperature to the lowest, below 0 Celsius then the water will be froze." I explained to them
"Tempireter? Celcious? What's that?" Said them
Ohmaigod I don't want to explain it anymore because I'm to lazy... so I said to them if you cool the water, the water will be ice. Yeah that's how I explained to them.
"I see... can you teach us that?" Said Lorra
"Yeah sure but you need to learn more about science and it will probably take you guys 1 month just to understand it and another month just to barely able to use it."
"You know what I changed my mind, I'll just stick with my water specialty." Said Lorra, giving up after I said we need to learn more about science.
It appears that she hate to learn something like this and it just makes her head about to explode just hearing me explaining it. Karv was also the same he straight up give me a give up look and said he will stick with one affinity magic and that's fire.
"That's all for today, today will be the last day for our training. So what will you guys want to do?"
"Hmm can I follow you go anywhere? I don't know what to do actually after learning magic." Said Karv
"Yeah sure."
"Oh did you guys knew about this. The Great Human-Demon War is almost around the corner. It will start 3 years later from now." Said Lorra
"The Great Human-Demon War?" I said

*after a couple of hours later*
"Alright bye both of you, see you guys later at school" Said Lorra smiling at us
I wave at her and Karv, and start walking back to my dorm at my school. While walking, I'm still thinking about The Great Human-Demon War that's going to happen in 3 years from now. Right now I'm 15 years old so when I'm 18 years old the war will be happening.
After I ask her about more details about The Great Human-Demon War she said that she only knows a little about it. The Great Human-Demon War. Start 300 years ago with a contract, both human and demon will fight against each other no matter what. The reason I don't know because she also doesn't know about it. Every 100 years human and demon will fight against each other with an all out war.
Apparently during the 1st War, human managed to almost defeat the Demon Forces, 80% of the Demon force were killed but at that time Demon King suddenly appeared at that time and almost annihilated the human forces. Both Human and Demon force retreat after both of them reaching 90% casualties. In the contract, it says
"Human and Demon will fight against each other every 100 years and during the fight, if both force reaching 90% damage. Temporary truce will happen. And the next war will be continue for the next 100 years."
So right now it has been 97 years since last war.
2nd War, Human bring about 1 Million army force with 100 of them are able to use 4 element. While Demon King army bring only about 100k army forces with 10 Top Commander. Each Commander are able to use 4 elemental. You guys might be thinking that this will be an easy win for humanity, human with a short lifespan that around 60 years and not enough experience in fight cannot defeat a Demon with a lifespan around 280 years. It is said that the Top Commander are the survivors of the 1st War. They may be low on people but they got more time to train themselves. At last, Human suffered, almost got defeated and that's when The King use the unique skill he had at that time. It was called "THE GREAT SACRIFICE" its ability is annihilated the enemy with the amount of your allies but your allies will also dies. That's when almost everyone got annihilated during that war including human and that's the conclusion for the 2nd War.
This time it's 3rd War and can be the so called the Final War because the Human are very short on people now with an ability to fight and right now they expect this will be the last war and the end for Humanity but still they don't give up. Even if the enemy is strong, the human will never give up no matter what. That's story of it.
The reason the contract be made is unknown. If this is how human gonna be wipe out, I need to train myself real hard to defeat the Demon. Thus begin my serious training start tomorrow. Right now I'm thinking to visit my parents to tell them that I'll be not able to visit them for a while.
1 year later there will gonna be a test, Exam test and Magic Test. The top 3 person that score the highest will got a recommendation to join the Royal army. I've been thinking to join the army to fight alongside them during the war. You might seeing the reward are only that but to be exact, if you manage to join the army. Your family will gain a nobility.
Royal army is one of the greatest knight the country have and that's why I need to be the greatest of the greatest to fight in the war. And if my family gain nobility, they will not be burden with money anymore.
1 year later
A ruckus happening at the bulletin board at school. Apparently the result is out today. I search for my name.... My name is at the very top of the list... and below me is...
"HAHAHAH WE DID IT KARV!" Said Lorra to Karv
"YEAH WE FINALLY DID IT! ALL THAT HARDWORK FINALLY PAYOFF!" Shout Karv at Lorra
"You guys..."
"didn't we have told you before? That we're gonna follow you no matter what." Said Karv
"Yeah, even if you're going to the war we will still gonna be joining you there." Said Lorra
Before the exam I told them that I will be scoring myself for the highest score to gain recommendation to join the Royal Army. They replied with
"I see, if that so then I will be joining too" said Karv.
"Yeah i'll be joining too if you guys joining." Said Lorra.
they said that like it was the easiest thing to do. I told them it was gonna be dangerous but they both replied with.
"No matter where you go, we will always be by your side."
I was touch by their words ngl. Then today it's happening.

The next Day
The school got another 2 years but this year they decided to close earlier and that's today because of the war. They are currently thinking to be prepared for the war. 2 years may look like a long year but preparation is necessary even if it's 2 years. They are trying to prepare the kids that want to join the war in 3 years by training them personally. Almost all the student join the war because they knew that if they lose this war, that will be the end of humanity. And here I am preparing to visit my parents to tell them that I will be joining the Royal Army.
"Hey can I also visit your parent?" Said Lorra with a blushing face
"Hey I want to visit too, I wanna know who the parent for their genius child is." Said Karv
I sigh and let them on my journey. Well the location is not that far. After a couple of hours of walking we arrived at my house. How nostalgic.... its been a year since I left the house and enter the school.
"Mom! Dad! tadaima (I'm home)"
Then there's this cute little girl open the door for us.
"Oni-chan! ( brother! )" Said Risu
Risu hug me tightly. I don't know why but it feels like I'm raising a death flag. Then there appears my mother.
"Mom..."
"Oh Juno, I miss you"
My mom also hug me
"Aren't you should be at school now? And these person is?" Said my mom
"My name is Lorra Renova. Nice to meet you, I'm Juno friends."
"My name is Karv Gerson. Nice to meet you madam, and I'm Juno bestfriend."
Oi... bestfriend? Since I'm your only friend you call me bestfriend. Well this is also my only friend so I guess it's fine.
"Well come in!" Said my mom
"Oh mom. Where dad is?"
"Don't worry your dad is at the town right now, later he will be back."
We then enter the house. It feels like a year since I am here..... wait it is a year....
After a couple of minutes of talking. My dad came home.
"Hoh? Juno? And who is this beautiful girl you bring back home."
"Welcome home dad."
"I'm Lorra Renova. Juno's friend"
"I see only friend huh?... Ouch ouch ouch, hey I'm joking."
Said my dad while getting his ears got pulled by my mom
After a little while talking about me and my friends, night arrived and the dinner is finished.
"Mom, Dad there's something I wanna talk about."
I explained to them that I score the highest during the exam and got recommendation to join the Royal Army. My mum and dad surprised when I said this. I also told them that I'll not be home for a while because I'm thinking to join the Royal Army but I'll visit before the war start.
My mum with a face that looks like about to cry after hearing that, my father comforts her.
"Well if that's your decision, we will support you through the end. If you need any help on money, don't worry dad will give you any amount you want." Said my dad
"Thanks dad for understanding my decision."
"Don't worry Juno's parent, I will protect him when he was in trouble." Said Lorra
"Yeah, we will protect him no matter what. We promised." Said Karv
"You guys..... thanks...."
Wait... I'm the one who have been training them, why would I need protection from them. Well who cares.... at that time we will help each other out.
"Please protect my son! During the war." Said my mom
After a long chitchat we decided to sleep here in my house for the night. I didn't expect it would take this long for us to stay but it's fine. The house may look like poor but we got more room for everyone to sleep. I sleep in my room with Karv while Lorra sleep in a spare room.
Before we sleep....
"Karv..... Thank you for being my friend."
"Don't mention it, I always look up to you all this time. At first I was surprised after seeing you used your magic but after learning your method I was even more surprised than ever before. It was I that should be thankful to you, you just change my life from being abandoned from my family to the one that's given a chance to redeem myself. Thank you Juno...."
No I'm the one who need to thank you Karv. I don't know how to make friends and your personality is just like my old friend.....
thank you Karv, I will protect you and Lorra even if it cost me my life
Then the night ends....
