Mind break

It was getting late when i was in front of Fort Bronx which was somehow totally unscathed . On the top of the fort were flags waving in crimson and gold . On the flags was the symbol of the celestial wargod Arkos who is a apostle of one of the 12 gods . The only info i have about him is he is somehow related to Helios .


Underneath the flags was a large steel door with a large sun in the middle . But there was noone around . Every bush around the fort was burned and every tree was cut . Cannons mounted on too archers on every corner of the fort . Magic arrays placed all around the fort . 


One of the archers took notice of us . 


The archer readies his bow towards us .


He was trying to say something but i couldn't hear due to the distance between us .


I stepoed out of the carriage when a arrow was shot right besides my foot .


This was done to scare me . But i am also a swordsman a warrior .


I just pointed towards my ears and waved my hands denying him .


Seeing my sign he fumbled slightly . He showed his hand telling us to wait . The mighty gates opened before us . But this time 2 warriors weilding blades were before me . They puta blade before my neck . And the archer still aiming the bow towards my head .


Jay : I was sent here by the guild as reinforcement. 


After saying this the swords on my neck were taken away . And the guards were now relaxed but still they didn't let their guard down . 


One of the guards ran inside and after 5 minutes he permitted our entry inside . Inside of the fort was just like an entirely different world from the outside . Greenery everywhere . A small town in which you could see children playing . People chattering being happy . This place was like a safe haven . 


As our carriage was taken inside after investigation.  We left our horse at the stable and as we left a man in formals wearing round glasses and a part of hair covering his face and wearing gloves came to greet us . 


He bowed while swaying his arms to the side . And retuned to his original postion .


Person : Welcome to our humble Fort Bronx we were expecting you .


Person : You mist be tired from travelling please let me escort you to your quaters .


We were taken to military quarters . Where we rested for 2 hours . It was currently 8.30 pm . 


Then it was time for dinner . We were called out to the hall . Where there were tons of soldiers . Eating and drinking . There were almost 250 soldiers inside . Our dinner was deer stew . Which tasted bland . But still it was better than anything . One of the soldiers besides me recognized me .


Soldier : Hey aren't you the one sent from the guild as reinforcement. 


Soldier : Welcome to your death . (smiling) .


At first i was confused and couldn't understand the meaning . So i just smiled . 


While Livia and Joanne were disturbed by the soldiers trying pick up lines on them . 


Livia looked at me as she was asking for help desperately.  I decided to enjoy the situation. 


Jay : (softly ) Enjoy . (soft smile ) .


It was for the smack yesterday as i felt satisfied the taste of the stew slightly improved . Suddenly there was a loud noise made by the bell . 


Soldier : RAID RAID .  A SKELETON RAID WILL TAJE PLACE IN 2 HOURS  . GET PREPARED TO FIGHT . AND EVACUATE THE CITIZENS
