Mind break

" Pleasr Take a seat "  he requested me as he pointed towards the seat with his entire hand . 


I sat on the seat and while asking him with worrying tone " Is something wrong , officer " .


Hearing my worrying tone he smiled and tried to calm me down .


" No , no it's not a big matter at all , I just wanted to ask some questions to both of you . "


" Your patner said you couldn't come today because you were ill , is that right " .


I just gave a normal look like everything is fine " I was ill but I am feeling fine now " .


He analyzed my posture top to down and identified that I was lying .


" Mr . Jay Garrick you should be worried of your health . Again this is not an important matter , we can discuss it sometime later " .


When someone is polite with you return it two fold .


" We can discuss it later , but that would be an inconvenience to you officer , So please carry out your work . " This time I gave a genuine smile . And somewhere I started to like him as a person .


I took a good look of McElroy he was nervous as hell.  Sweating from top to bottom . Trying to sit in an erect position .


Officer : let me start with the few questions have you recently heard the murder of the Duke which took not too much recently do you know something about that


Jay : I don't understood can you be more clear please .


Officer : The one whose request you completed not too long ago .


Jay : Ah yes I remember him , what happened ?  .


He's onto us . Now we must answer correctly or we could end up in a very bad situation. McElroy is so nervous that his voice and the words are breaking as he is speaking. He is making very funny expressions . I am currently thinking of slapping My forehead .


Officer : we visited  the Duke as he had not paid his taxes for a while and found him dead in his mansion. His manor was in poor condition.  His garden was burnt down to the ground .


His office window had been shattered . And all of his gold was stolen. And when we talked with the servants they say that they had been sent home on that day .


We interrogated the gate guard . And he mentioned the two of you . His exact words were " There were two lads responsible for this mess they were mercinary here to accept the request . They were the one who did all this " .


Jay : Pardon me for my words but this Is utter bullshit .


We went there did his work , he gave his stamp , and we left . And went straight to guild to submit fhe form of compensation. 


Officer : I heard you have recently bought the property of a baron . Who was imprisoned a while back .


He's onto us i should tread carefully .


Jay : We wanted to settle at a nice place and after many hours of house hunting we found this nice property for cheap . So I bought it .


Officer : How much time it has been since you two were together .


Jay : it's been 5 months since we've been together. 


Officer : Oh I see your bond must be quit strong eh .


And I caught his drift . I left my chair found a wall and banged my head on it and broke the wall entirely . But it was very lucky moment as it was not a support column there .


I started to bleed from my forehead . A small bit of bleeding .


Jay : I will pay the repair fees later . Please continue .


But the Officer wasn't a fool either he understood that Jay felt embarrassed about being called a gay person as he was straight . He felt humiliated by his inability to not understand at that moment .


Meanwhile McElroy was in a shivering like state . His state was like a person who could die of hypothermia any second . 


Officer : No need we can continue this later . Please keep up the good work .


After we left I relaxed in bed for a little bit .


Officer : They are definately hiding something . Kidnap McElroy and bring him here for interrogation. 


On that night when we both were asleep McElroy was kidnapped .
