Store and Inventory

When Loki woke up, his screen had updated.

Loki felt an odd sense of satisfaction when he saw that. He quickly washed up in the bathroom and dresses up in his plain clothing. He sat on his bed and stared at the screen hard, trying to learn every little thing about it.

He saw 2 boxes he hadn't noticed before, reading 'Store' and 'Inventory'. Loki tried to imagine himself clicking on the 'Store' box, but nothing happened.

Loki felt disappointed but tried the 'Inventory' box next. It opened.

[Inventory is empty]

Loki went downstairs and grabbed a cup of water. 'Put this into the Inventory,' he thought. The cup of water disappeared, and a sign of a cup of water appeared in his Inventory.

[Cup of Water has been stored into Inventory]

[29 spaces remaining]

[Would you like to take out Cup of Water?]

Loki thought, 'Yes,' and the cup of water materialized in his hand.

[30 spaces remianing]

'So I can store 30 items into my Inventory, huh?'

His screen flashed, and the 'Daily Challenges' flashed.

[Drink 2 liters of water: 5 Xp]

[Sleep for 8 hours: 5 Xp]

Loki grabbed a few cups of water and quickly drank them, waiting expectantly.

Loki felt excited as he went back to his room.

'I just have to complete one more daily challenge and I'll level up!'

Just then, someone knocked on the door. Loki opened it and saw a military officer standing there. "You have 5 minutes to pack up, boy. We're leaving to go to military school soon." Loki hurriedly packed the few belongings he had.

As he was doing so, he remembered he had been saving up credits. He didn't want to bring them to military school as the higher levels would take them from him. He stared at the screen. 'I want to store my credits in my Inventory.' For a moment, nothing happened. Then his credits disappeared from the small stash he had and appeared in his Inventory.

[30 credits has been stored into Inventory]

[29 spaces remaining]

'Yes!' Loki thought excitedly. He finally could protect himself from bullies taking his credits!

The military officer poked his head back in, scowling. "Get your lazy ass out here, boy. We're leaving." Loki grabbed his bag and headed out where other kids from the building were herded into a big bus.

As he was getting on the bus, he wondered if he would be able to level up and finally become strong enough that he could take on others and not be bullied. He chose a seat near the back and waited apprehensively for arriving at military school.
