She didn't know what the other two girls knew about Mark and his actions. During this time, Aroon kept her beside him while jumping from one place to another to help.
"We need coffee," Arora tried to kill the debate before starting.
"They… need to know," yet Anna did the unexpected and said while staring at the ground.
Her face was red though, telling others how frustrated she was.
"What happened?" Aroon casually asked while eating a slice of pizza. "Have you figured out where Mark is?"
"Do you want to attack him?" Anna directly asked while gazing at his eyes.
"Why should I?" Aroon shrugged, "I've fought and won against him already. I don't need to prove anything. He is the one turning his back to people who need help, not me."
The words Aroon calmly said while eating made her feel more bitter even though her eyes turned slightly red. She turned to the side as she wanted to evade looking at him at this moment.
"He… is going all out to seek for that mecha," she finally said before taking a deep breath. "He wants to bring him back and make him the leader instead of you."
"Pft…" Aroon choked while eating as he couldn't control himself from laughing. He coughed a few times before finally stabilizing himself.
And that reaction was totally opposite to what Anna had in mind.
"Did you understand what I said?" Anna slowly asked while seeing the laughing of Aroon to be a little… weird.
As for the other two girls, Cheryl gave him a worrying glance while Arora was calm.
Her white pupils kept staring with much interest at Aroon, as if she could see through him.
"It's just… Cough… Sorry," he had to stop speaking for a moment before controlling his laughs. "I find this a bit desperate on his side," he tried to give a proper reason but Anna seemed not to buy it.
"Then you are laughing at him for doing that?" she asked, trying to better understand him.
"He should resign to the fact of him losing to me," Aroon tried to control himself not to laugh again, "he should have stayed back, helped others with us instead of chasing dreams."
"But people saw that rumored mecha," Anna said, "don't you think it's weird for all the monsters to stop coming from the dungeon?"
Aroon perfectly knew the answer to her question, but he didn't say the truth here. "I dunno," he shrugged, "but the presence of someone like him in such a place… Isn't it a bit weird?"
Anna kept her silence while Aroon was laughing inside. 'That damn brick… he thinks he can find me to replace me with… me?' Aroon kept joking inside about this even after the short break was over.
For hours he kept his smile over his face, while shaking his head from time to time or laughing without warning.
Yet the three girls knew why he was laughing, and they only exchanged silent glances among each other.
They knew he was laughing at Mark, but they didn't know why.
"What's going up there?"
After five hours of rescuing all the trapped people, they suddenly heard some kind of a bang nearby.
"Is it… a monster?" Anna narrowed her eyes and became suddenly vigilant.
"Stay put," yet Aroon firmly said, "let's go and check out first."
"We need to set up a fighting plan," Anna shouted at him in an alarming way.
"Just follow me," yet Aroon was entirely calm, "and you'll know to tense up when I get nervous, not the opposite."
"…"
She didn't understand the meaning behind his words but Arora moved first following him.
"Come," Cheryl said, "if it's a monster then you are our best defense against it."
Anna wanted to turn around and leave. She hated arrogant people, especially men.
But she also was worried over her two friends here, so she slowly nodded and went after Aroon.
The place where that bang came from wasn't so far off them. Aroon led the way with confident steps. 'A monster here? That's ridiculous, isn't it?' he thought to himself while walking towards the source of that bang.
"What do you think is out there?" Cheryl caught up finally, "a monster?"
"No," Aroon shook his head.
"Then what?"
"We'll get to know that soon enough, right?" he slowly said while taking the turn, avoiding many dead bodies of humans and a few monsters before seeing what caused that noise from before.
"It's Aizo," Cheryl muttered in surprise while Arora only smiled faintly while giving Aroon a side glance.
"They remained behind," Anna said with a joyful chuckle, "I knew it."
She ran towards the distant group of almost five fallens who were helping devastated people in the middle of this long street.
"They remained," Arora said, "what do you think?"
"If they wanna help, then they are welcomed," Aroon shrugged while leisurely walking on the street.
"We left many people back there who need our help," Cheryl said with hope in her tone, "we can help the entire town now with our number."
"Let's go then," Aroon turned all of sudden.
"Where to?" Arora asked despite the look on her face and told Aroon she already knew his answer.
"To save those behind," he walked back, "we can meet with them during our break time."
"Anna is gone," Arora raised her head, "I doubt she can hear me."
"Stick with us then," Aroon said while maintaining his path to the back.
In the next hour he kept working with the two girls to save many people before the two groups rejoined once again.
"Anna told us what you did for the town," a tall and muscular youth said with a weird accent. He was Aizo, one of those blessed with a unique power, telekinesis.
He could control things around and make them move, fly, and kill if needed. The only drawback for overusing his power was massive fatigue that forced him to rest even during battles.
And right now his pale face and racing chest told Aroon he needed such one.
"Take it easy," Aroon calmly said, "I'm doing my job as a leader."
