CHAPTER 08

ACT 36

Prince Kydin, Chief Warrior Makillo, the Blue Warriors, rescued Blue Villagers and their Red captives arrived at the Blue Empire. Some Villagers saw them and cheered for their safe return.

Makillo - See my Prince. See how everyone is cheering for you.

Prince Kydin - Yes. I'm just happy our people are safe.

Kydin saw some girls his age whispering and when he looked at them they giggled and entered into their hut.

Makillo - Looks like you have some admirers. With luck one of the fine maidens in the Village will become your wife one day.

Prince Kydin - Let's not discuss that please it's too early for that.

Makillo - Yes my Prince. As you wish.

They arrived at the palace. The captives were taken to the courtyard for the trial. Prince Kydin, the Grand Queen, the Chief Warrior, some guards and the 7 Chiefs were present. The Grand Queen spoke first.

Grand Queen Zanlynne - Chief Nalo you were brought here today because you have been found guilty of forcing Blue men into slavery in your Village. Do you have anything to say?

Nalo - You Blues think so highly of yourself. Well I made a mistake of not getting rid of them sooner. Or did you forget about the Red Villages you burnt down to ashes. At least I got rid of the last Blue Chief Warrior of yours and all 100 of his men. With the help of Red Chief Warrior Naphila who also brought down your former King and Queen. You should have seen the look on their faces as they took their last breath.

Prince Kydin was furious.

Prince Kydin - How dare you!

The Grand Queen slapped Nalo.

Grand Queen Zanlynne - And how did you know of our plans for war 3 years ago.

Nalo - Oh please. Some of your so called loyal Blue men are spies for the Red kingdom. They don't adore you Royals like you think. It's amazing what desperate people can do because of money.

Grand Queen Zanlynne - Very well Your punishment is death by the...

Prince Kydin - No Grandmother why don't we exile them to the Dark forest. Let them be tormented by the demons there. Death is too light of a punishment.

The 7 Chiefs - Yes. That is a better punishment.

Prince Kydin - And as for the traitors to the crown we will find them all and they will pay.

Grand Queen Zanlynne - You are very right. Bundle these fools to the Dark forest.

Naphen - No please let us go. Please Prince Kydin. Please.

She looked at Prince Kydin with pleading eyes but Kydin just looked away.

Warrior - Move. Move now.

They went out of the Village to the part of the forest covered with a thick Dark mist.

Makillo - Throw them in.

All the Red people were thrown inside. Once they were inside they tried to come out but the mist became thick like a wall. Nothing ever comes out of the Dark forest. Not even sound.

Naphen banged against the thick Dark mist. It was like hitting a thick iron wall.

Naphen - Let us out! Please let us out!

Nalo - Naphen be quiet. We don't want to attract anything. We will get out of here OK. Now come.

Naphen hugged her Father tight as they all entered deeper into the forest.

ACT 37

In the Dark forest...

Numerous figures, clothed in Dark colours, were holding various weapons patrol the forest floors and canopy. Among them is their leader, the Dark king, King Zanji. He was discussing with his right hand man Ebon.

Ebon - Your majesty the Dark lands have increased by 7 hectares in just 2 days.

King Zanji - Wonderful news. Very soon all the lands will belong to the Darks.

Ebon - As it was meant to be.

King Zanji - I am proud to have you as a right hand.

Ebon - Me too Sir. I just wished that my Father and Sister could see it.

King Zanji - I understand it's those Red and Blue men's fault. That is why we are doing this to avenge them and all our people who have fallen to them.

Female Warrior - Sir some Reds are inside the forest. They are about 20 or so Sir.

Ebon - Very well. Capture all of them alive. Go!

Female Warrior - Yes Sir.

The Darks suddenly surround the Reds and capture them. The Red Chief's daughter manages to escape and runs away but as she was about to reach the edge of the forests Ebon lands in front of her. She tries to scream but he covered her mouth and carries her away. She keeps struggle but he blows a powder on her face and she goes unconscious.

The Dark King sees the Reds being led deeper into the forest.

Warrior - Now listen all of you just move on as we tell you. Don't bother trying to escape. Anybody who tries anything funny will be Punished on the spot. Understand?

Red Chief Nalo - How dare you bastards tell me what to do. Do you know who I am. You all are supposed to be dead. Let me and my daughter go... Arrgh.

One of the Warriors hit hard on the head and he collapsed. A Warrior carries his unconscious body.

Warrior - Anyone else? Good now. Let's move.

King Zanji - I hate all those bright and annoying colours. Why can't everything just be Dark? Dark is universal. Anything goes with Dark. The world should just be one colour. Isn't that right Ebon?

Ebon - Yes Sir.

Ebon gives the girl to another Warrior who follows the remaining Warriors and hostages.

Ebon - Sir Yabiny has began her first assignment.

King Zanji - Very Good. Let's see how it plays out. She had better not fail.

ACT 38

King Zanji enters through the guarded caves into the underground kingdom. It was huge and still increasing. This is the Ebony Nation. It was all under the leadership of King Zanji. The strongest Man in the entire Dark Nation.

King Zanji enters his compound and his 3 oldest sons were already there waiting for him. Their names are Lebid, Abalin and Cronnaj respectively. They were 20, 18 and 16 years old respectively.

King Zanji - My sons. My 3 perfect sons. What do you have to report?

Prince Abalin - There were three boys hunting in the Dark forest. We took care of the situation.

Prince Cronnaj - And the 3 spies we have sent to the Empire Yellow city says that the Yellows have finished building their walls but they will report when they have other news.

King Zanji - Very good. After all those decades of hiding in the shadows finally our light will shine. Those colours especially those Blues... those fools took our lands from us. We will show them. Where is your Mother?

Prince Lebid - She is training the new recruits south of the forest.

King Zanji - Of course.

Prince Lebid - Father, Dejjo would like to meet with you...

King Zanji - I don't have time for that. Tell him to Focus on his training. And all of you keep up the good work.

Prince Lebid - Quick get back to work men.

ACT 39

The next day...

Reolita and her Father went to Chief Laster's house. Chief Laster's maid announced their arrival to the Chief.

Ricktin - Good morning Chief Laster. Again I have come to apologize for what happened. And you asked to meet me.

Chief - Ha ha ha. Don't worry about that. Children will always be children. But warn your daughter. Fighting isn't allowed in this Village. Please come in I would like to discuss some things with you. There will be palm wine of course.

Ricktin turned to Reolita.

Ricktin - Reolita please go home.

Reolita - Yes Papa.

As they left, Yuveta came out of her chambers and spotted Reolita.

Yuveta - What are you doing here Ratolita? Have you come to beg?

Reolita - No. I came because of my Father.

Yuveta - You know what just get lost. And for the record. I'm going to make your life miserable. How dare you confront me? No one does that to me!

Reolita - I don't care. You can do whatever you want.

Reolita backing her Brother left for home.

Yuveta - Anyone that walks out on me lives to regret it.

Yuveta looked back at her hut.

Yuveta - Umadi go and get me more beads from the market you this stupid girl. And be fast.

ACT 40

It was already evening. Kydin was with his new sword in his hand. He was walking towards the palace from the training grounds. He was exhausted and sweating.

Prince Kydin - Ah... I can't wait to lie on my bed.

Soon he got to his sleeping chambers and saw Tefon under the mango tree relaxing on a mat. A girl was massaging his back while another was feeding him roasted bush meat.

Prince Tefon - Wow. You make the sweetest bush meat in the whole palace.

Maid 1 - Thank you my Prince.

Prince Tefon - And you give the best massage in all the Blue kingdoms.

Maid 2 - Anything for you my Prince.

Kydin walks over to him. Kydin was annoyed with his twin brother.

Prince Kydin - I would like to speak to my Brother in private.

Maids - Yes Prince Kydin.

They bowed and left.

Prince Tefon - Kydin why did you stop my enjoyment? Do I ever interrupt your training? Why don't you just join me.

Prince Kydin - Tefon why don't you take your training serious? All you ever do is eat and play with girls.

Prince Tefon - There is nothing hard about being king. I get whatever I want and I enjoy whatever I want.

Prince Kydin - But what about ruling the kingdom? I only see you flirting around with the maids.

Prince Tefon - That's why I have you. I handle the fun part, you handle the serious part.

Prince Kydin - Tefon take this seriously you are the future king.

Prince Tefon - If you are so worried about the kingdom, why don't you train to be king. Look I'm tired and I'm going to bed. I'll see you tomorrow. I didn't ask to be King but I have to be. At least let me live my teenage life before then. You need to learn to relax Kydin.

Kydin just walked away angrily.
