A Bold Step

"What's going on Damian? I was told you booked a flight for tomorrow morning. You even left the party without us" said Queen Evelyn, they had just returned from the party.

"Diamond, I got Diamond's location"

"That's good news, you're going to see her?" asked King Carl

"Wait, hold on young man. Did she invite you? Does she want to see you?"

"Mom she's pregnant"

"And what does that have to do with you?"

"You knew?"

"Rachel told me. She's been very worried, especially cause she wouldn't tell her who the father is"

"It's me, I'm the father"

"Are you crazy?"

"I'm serious Mom, she's carrying my child"

"And how the hell did that happen?" asked Rachel.

"That's the real reason she avoided you"

"Yes dad. She left without telling me because I was in a relationship. Now please, I need to complete my packing and leave early tomorrow morning"

"Just let him be dear, he's probably as dazed as we are right now" said the King who immediately left with his wife.

At The Airport

With his box rolling behind him, Damian walked towards the door. He stopped in his tracks at the sight of a familiar face, it was Jane. He hadn't seen her in three months.

He stood still as she walked over, wearing a smile.

"Prince Damian"

"Jane"

She hugged him.

"How've you been?" he asked

"Great, how have you been?"

"Very well"

"You're leaving the country?" he asked again

"Yes, I thought a new environment would help me better heal from the heartbreak"

"I really am so..."

"No no, please. You've apologized to me a million times already, its fine. I've given it some thought too and I'm thankful. We weren't going anywhere with that relationship"

"Please, let me pay for your flight"

"Don't bother, I already did. Where are you going?"

"Houston"

"To see Diamond?"

"How did you..."

"Was I correct? it was actually a guess"

"You were"

"Cool. Alright then, I have to leave now. Good luck"

"You too. Have a safe trip. It was nice to see you again"

"Same here. I'll be back before my birthday, buy me a gift" she said, he smiled.

"Will do"

"Bye"

A few hours later, Damian's plane arrived at Houston. He immediately took a cab and went over to her.

The door bell rang, Diamond dropped her cellphone and got up.

"I'm not expecting anyone" she thought.

Slowly, she opened the door and her jaw dropped,
