I Wanna Go Home

"Dr Grace" Damian called as he ran over to her,

"Have you seen Diamond? I left her in the car to meet someone and its been a bit over an hour now, I can't find her. The car's still outside so I don't think she's gone home and she's not taking my calls"

"Damian" she called softly

"Is there a problem?"

"I was actually trying to contact you"

"Me?"

"Diamond was in an accident, she's in the ER"

"What? that makes no sense"

"Right now, you need to stay really strong for her"

"What the heck!"

"She suffered a mild concussion and some small injuries, the x-ray doesn't show any broken bones so everything else is fine. We just need to wait till she wakes up"

"Are you being serious?"

"The baby. I'm really sorry Damian, the baby couldn't make it"

His jaw dropped.

"Let me take you to her"

"Hold on, Dr Grace. This isn't a joke"

"I'm sorry"

"How?"

"I saw her being brought in by some nurses, they said she was hit by a car here in the hospital. The driver is at the police station right now, you can handle that later"

"Oh my God" he muttered

"This way"

As he stared at her unconscious figure, he couldn't help but blame himself.

"If only I hadn't come with her, if only I hadn't come to America in the first place, she would've gone straight home" he thought.

Just then, his phone rang. It was his mom.

"Damian, have you met her? how is she doing?"

"Mom" he called in a shaky voice

"Darling, what's wrong?"

"It's Diamond, she..."

"She what?"

"She was in an accident. She lost the baby"

Queen Evelyn gasped

"When? How did that happen? Is she alright?"

"The doctor says she'll be fine, she hasn't woken up yet. What do I do Mom? I don't even know if I should call her parents or not"

"Calm down, wait until she..."

"I have to go Mom, she just opened her eyes"

Quickly hanging up, he dropped the phone.

"Diamond, can you hear me? are you okay?"

She stared silently into space for a little while then shut her eyes.

"Diamond" he called, there was no response.

He hurried off to Dr Grace who followed him back at once.

"She's fast asleep" said Dr Grace

"But she opened her eyes"

Give her some time"

Few Hours After

"Damian" she called

"Hey, you're up"

He helped her sit up.

"What happened?" she asked

"You were in an accident. Let me get the doctor"

"The baby, what happened to my baby?"

He took a deep breath.

"I'm sorry"

"I lost the baby?"

He nodded

She shut her eyes tight as she tried to think. She took deep breaths but soon, she could no longer control them. She was hyperventilating.

"Diamond, what's going on? Nurse!" Damian yelled.
