Saying Goodbye?

The next morning, all three get up to head to the beach and say goodbye to the mermaids and Noah. As they head to the corner of the beach without anyone looking, Acrilla waits for them while hiding, and hands them the rocks. The kids rub it on their necks before jumping in the water. Acrilla takes them one more time through the dark waters to the bright castle. This will also be her last time since these waters will no longer be her home. The mermaids are getting ready to leave as the inside of the castle looks and start to feel empty.

“It feels so different being here now,” Emma says. “What will happen to the castle?”

Acrilla takes them to see her family. “We’re not sure,” Acrilla says. “It could be deserted or taken over by other mermaids.” Dawn is with her children while Lola is helping her pack. They turn to see Tyler, Calem, and Emma.

“You came back,” Dawn smiles. She and Lola swim up to hug them. “Thank you for saving my children.”

“You’re welcome,” Tyler says.
