Chapter Twelve: Masculine Distraction

The drive back home was in silence, but I gripped Lugh's hand tightly all the while.

"Fuckin' bullocks. He's tryin' to draw ya in, don't let 'em." His voice was grave and cold, without any emotion. He was in his head about the events that took place tonight; I wanted nothing more than to remove his head from his shoulders.

-

When we made it home, I had gone straight to my room without saying goodnight, removing my clothes on the way up the stairs.

I heard Lugh come up after a few minutes, completely ignoring the guest room and walking straight into mine. "Anunde..." He said my name for the first time, my head snapping up in his direction. I stared at him like he had grown two heads, wondering what the different atmosphere was about.

"That is the first time you've said my name." I blinked up at him, walking over to him in my birthday suit. "What's wrong?" I asked, unconsciously grabbing his hand and weaving my finger through his.

He looked down at our intertwined fingers, bringing them up so he could kiss every one of my knuckles. "I'm gonna need yer key." He looked down at me, brushing his thumb against my cheek. "What?why?" I stepped back from him, confused, reluctantly pulling my hand out of his. He lunged forward and pulled me back towards him again, constricting his arms firmly around my bare waist. "So I can get back in. I must return home to something." His eyes lowered to my lips, and he leaned forward. "Or I can just climb through yer window." My face flushed at the thought, reaching into my dresser to hand him my keys.

"Just... Be safe, Lugh...." I whispered, our eyes locking together, neither of us moving.

He dove for my lips, clasping my bottom one roughly between his lips, hoisting me up into his arms as he carried me towards my bed. I was just as passionate, my fingers tangling into his hair, my back bowing in his arms, my legs tightly wrapped around his waist. I pulled away, gasping for air, his tongue running a train of head down the length of my neck.

I found myself shoving him away again, shaking and on fire, my eyes blazing in their two distinctive colors. "NO!" I screamed, all of my windows and glasses shattering in unison. "I'm not ready..." I panted, struggling to gain control of my emotions. He slumped against the wall breathing as he had just run Marathon.

He only grinned, placing my keys back onto the dresser, sighing. "Yer window it is." He said before disappearing out my bedroom door.

I was taken in a dreamscape again, unsure of what I saw in front of me.

The ground was cracked and agape with a deep crater in the middle of the destruction, and sitting in the middle was a woman whose skin was as dark as obsidian. A crown of wildflowers adorned her head and a dress so sheer in green that it was almost invisible to the naked eye. Her eyes glowed and boiled like molten lava, her hair as red as the leaves in Autumn. Gradually her hair shifted into different colors of the seasons, naked and bared to the stars above her.

The moon was full and at its peak, but it wasn't any regular full moon. It was the largest supermoon in the history of its supermoons, but there was a reason for it. It shone brightly as something was on its way to great the mother of the earth in person.

Before she stood a man with russet-brown skin, hair in intricate locks that seemed to be pulled back into a braid down his back. On his head was a crown, the very same crown that adorned my head. Gold in setting with a silver glowing disk situated in the middle, his eyes were as illuminating as the super moon above, and they were cold in their nature, but when he placed his eyes on her bare skin, they seemed to soften.

He wore golden garbs lined in silver and black silk, his eyes blazed with Khol, his hand outstretched to the lady of the earth. Grasping his hand, they danced an ancient dance lost to time, removing articles of clothing in the process.

No matter how much I wanted to look away, my eyes stayed glued to the scene before me. I watched as he took her over and over until the moons shine left the sky. Straddling his hips, her hair wild about her head with her chin tilted to the sky, she released a cry heavenward, cradling her lover, the moon.

I wouldn't have thought anything of this entire situation, that is, if she hadn't looked at me, her expression passive. "Dear daughter, out of all my children... You were the only one that chose to be good."

She rose off of the man's pelvis, walking towards me, her eyes burning brighter. " Show them who you are." With her final words, everything faded to black

I woke up screaming yet again, my eyes pooling with tears as my entire house shook. The ground beneath the foundation of my house seemed to roll and shudder violently, almost as if it was responding to my very being. Lugh came barging into my room, shirtless, watching as everything tumbled onto the floor of my room.

"Lass?!" He ran over and pulled me from the bed only to pull me within my bathroom doorway, my arms locked around his back

The earthquake continued for a few minutes more before everything stilled, leaving a mess in its wake

I shuddered, looking up at his face as he witnessed the destruction of my room, his gaze drifting to look out m broken windows. His skin drained of color. "Fuckin' Hell..." He stepped over broken glass, making his at over to the window, dragging me with him. The ground was cracked in several different places, all crack lines leading to my house. I saw how the earth had shifted with a gaping fault line and over five feet of space spread between.

"Things just got a lot more complicated..." I whispered, looking up at him, gaining his attention.

"I can see that, Lassie!" I shouted, pointing to the destruction outside. I shook my head and rubbed my head. "I just found out who my mother is..."

He looked at me and then at the shift in the earth. "Nooo...." He cut his eyes at me stepping away. "Can't be...."

"I'm Gaea's Daughter." I sniffed, watching as he slowly turned his head to look outside and then back at me. "No fuckin' kiddin'!"
