A kind maid 2

"How come your friends don't know about this?" She asked with a frown. "I just never told them I guess it never came up in a conversation," I said. It was a lie. "Or you just cover them up so no one get's the chance to ask about it."

Eventually, after giving me a lecture about how I should be more open about myself. I swear I've heard that exact same speech before…

We went to pick my clothes out. She automatically took me to the dresses section. "Haha No," I said giving her a side look. She cocked her head. "I thought all pretty young girls your age liked long frilly dresses." "I'm a little different. I prefer suits and light dresses."

She raised her eyebrow. "No, you will be getting a dress today, a long one with plenty of frills in it." "We can't have the young boy's date looking like a bum can we?" I sighed. I had seen that look on Leona's face before there's no way I can stop her. She's already stronger than me by leaps and bounds.

She pushed me forward. Every dress was white and blue. In some way, no dress was red or anything. I just frowned and stepped forward. I looked at each one that met my requirements didn't show too much skin if anyone can see all of my, shoulders it's a no.

I had blue flowers going from the shoulder straps down to the left and right waist. It was sky blue in color. While the bottom part was long and had frills in it colored a slightly darker color than the top., it also had a crest on it, a blue and white flower, the inside white and the outside blue.

"That one?" The maid said in her soft voice. She looked to be around 60 years old. "Yeah, I like it." I like it more than the others, but she'd want me to pick a more fancy one if I said that.

She slightly squealed. "The color matches perfectly with your eyes!!! You're going to be a beautiful future wife!"

"Um no, we're just friends. besides, he's still getting over someone else." I said factually. "Who's this girl?" She said with a smile on her face. "Sorry, she's not around, anymore," I said, keeping a pain in my heart from resurfacing.

"How?" she asked quietly. I ignored her question. "Let's get off this topic," I said, trying to cheer myself up. I tried on the dress it fitted perfectly. Sadly. I walked out of the dressing room. My scars were out and visible. She said that I didn't need to hide them. I still think I do.

I saw all of them in blue and white tuxedos. Brian was more stand-out-ish. I sighed. Why'd they get to have a suit? I had gloves that didn't completely cover my wrists.

All of their eyes practically popped out of their sockets. Including Brian. Damn it. "You look great tod- day M- m'lady." Said Brian, laughing his ass off. I gave him a middle finger through my gloved hands.

The others were still in shock. There was nothing to cover my neck. What a shame. Raimy was looking away blushing. Leona was staring at me. Tenner was looking away out of embarrassment for no reason and Maly was staring at me with a grin on her face.

"You look pretty," Raimy said in a shaking voice. I could practically hear the thoughts of the others. "Bold move buddy." That's what the atmosphere said. I could feel the stares at him in my bones.

"Thank you for the compliment. I guess." I don't really look pretty to myself right now. The mouths of everybody dropped.

"Could you stop staring at my neck? I'm feeling uncomfortable as it is." I said noticing the stares directed at my neck. "Sorry," they both said, looking away. Brian's eyebrows crouched. He walked over to me and whispered something in my ear.

"Are you going to be okay at the ball like that? There are many noble assholes there."

He said warning me. "I'll be fine. I just wish I had something to cover my neck." He nodded and walked away.
