Taking over

"Alright, alright I get it. I won't mess this up." He nodded, saluted me, and left. Just gone that fast. Already time to put some acting to use, I started yelling, and the guards busted the door in what they saw was me with a disgusted look on my face and blood. Blood everywhere was quite the frightening sight, especially for mortals like them.

For a semi-immortal like me, it was common to see such gory sights. And currently I look to be in my late twenties at most, so my acting will most definitely be a lot more effective than if I looked like someone in my late forties. The guards dressed in black with green jade wings on the backs as the insignia of the kingdom looked surprised and chaos ensued awkwardly.

It's important that I don't act afraid and only act disgusted and slightly shaken by this happenstance, so when they give their reports, the new king isn't easily shaken by a simple death. I sat there with a shocked look on my face. Eventually they ushered me out of the room and it was finally time to think up a script on the spot. The person who seemed to be the leading guard sat me down with a stern look on his covered face.

He seemed to be a pretty tall guy, around six foot five, with plenty of muscle on his bones to boot. In comparison to me, who stood at six foot two and a half. I don't age or grow over time. I mean, I could manipulate my life force to change how I look, but I love this form. I have an emotional attachment to it.

So I took a deep, slightly shaky breath, so it didn't seem suspicious of how calm I was, so it seemed to him that seeing that had shaken me up. To him it looked like I was just putting up a front of being calm and composed. Currently, I was making sure that all of my mannerisms were that of pretending to be calm. A shaking leg slight shakes from time to time and maybe some sweat but a calm, composed looking face that only seemed a little rattled.

"What happened in there?" "I don't know... I walked in there and I saw blood everywhere and the queen is nowhere to be found." I said that sentence was full of deceit... Then someone bashed into the door with a paper. "We just did a blood test! It's the queen's blood!" The guard's eye opened wide. "WHAT!" He yelled with a menacing look on his face. "What? The queen is dead? No! That can't be..."

Then another person walked up to the door, more like running, and screamed hysterically. "The king is dead! In the same way the queen was murdered!" "WHAT!!??!?!?!" He screamed with his face turning red.

"But the king left this a note. I think it's his will." The subordinate gave him a note written in perfect calligraphy, the king's handwriting: what did captain do? The head of the royal guard read it out, "As of this moment, the Ryhems are the absolute royals of this entire country, and there will be no retaliation from any of the advisors. As this is my last wish as the king of Fylar."

He looked up and made eye contact. The head of the guard stood from his seat and kneeled. In fact, all of them around me kneeled. Their heads were bowed and eyes closed. "You may all rise, as head of the Ryhem family, I declare myself king."

"Yes sovereign."

"All rise, we've got work to do, and it's not going to be very easy..."

"First, get all the cleaning crews over to the spots of the bodies of the former queen and king. Second, make a peace treaty with Gryza as fast as possible. If they aren't willing to submit, then we wage a quick war. I'll go into further detail later next to the changes I'll be making to this society, then eventually the entire world."

They all nodded and started carrying out my orders. "Do not let the public know of the king and queen's deaths until I'm ready to correctly brief them. Then I'll announce a new era, the diamond era, to keep all the people who normally visit the king and queen away except advisors two one thirteen and fourteen. I want all of them in this room for twelve hours exactly. Now go carry my orders out swiftly."

I teleported back home by connecting a strand of my life force from here to the palace. "What happened? You've been gone for a long time." Olivia said worriedly as she covered Ethers ears. "... Zel killed both Max and Mary and made our family the royal family and made Max write a note that stated us a royal family." "Oh..."

Olivia said quietly. Ether, who was holding her hand, didn't hear what we had just said but had sensed that the mood went down. So he hugged Olivia's leg tightly. "I've sent out orders of confidentiality and to have the advisors visit me in twelve hours. I'll start with making peace with Gryza then change the corrupted society." "Easier said than done." Olivia responded unenthusiastically with all the work we'd be doing in the future.

"True, but it's for the good of this country. Think of how many lives we'll be improving!" I said with a smile on my face and holding her hand. "You haven't changed a single bit in all of these years." Olivia said, clasping her other hand in my hand softly.

"I guess I haven't." I responded with a kiss on her forehead, "Yup, definitely didn't change whatsoever." She said blushing."
