The return home. 1

Jane arrived early at the airport. She did for all school breaks for the last four years. She knew what to expect and knew exactly how long it would take her to get through security. She knew it would take her an extra twenty to thirty minutes.

Her family was adamant that she came home for all long breaks. At first she protested. The three hour flight seamed to get old. She tried every angle from the plane ticket price and travel time wasn't worth her short visit. She expressed the pros and cons over the effect it would have on her studies.

Some part of her wanted to see the school when everyone wasn't stressed. She soon came to accept it. Even a small part of her started to look forward to it.

She realized all the pleading in the world would not change her father's mind. Rusty was a man to be revered. When he said something it would happen. She liked that about him. She had agreed to these terms before he allowed her to go abroad.

Jane hated airports but it was necessary. Her university had the best Astronomy program something she had always loved. She also loved the beaches and the warm air. She hated the lines and the hassle that seamed to come along with it. Most of all she hated that she was a target. Not in the traditional since of thought of danger that most people associate with the word.

Mostly because of this bracelet that decided she belongs to it. Just like how a puppy attaches itself to his new owner. Tends to make everything a little bit about themselves. Makes simple life tasks a bit more complicated. Their cute little faces and floppy ears and a since of belonging simply change their lives.

Jane had come to accept that she was it's prisoner. It could be worse at least it was at the hype of fashion. She got all kinds of attention from it. Some she wanted and some she didn't. There seamed to be a bad girl rep that was associated with it. Diva with no consequence. She had learned how to use it to her advantage from time to time. A glare at the right time could do magic in the right situation.

The biggest problem where the airport or banks she avoided them at all cost. Drive through banks made that problem go away. Since it was on her right hand tellers normally didn't even know she had one.

Honestly if she had know how much of an issue going abroad was going to be; She probably would have stayed close to home.

Jane also knew that her mother would visit her twice a week and make her come home on weekends and all holidays plus breaks. Know all her friends names and their relationship. It was kinda weird she had watched her work her magic before. Her heart wished for a small amount of freedom. Only going abroad would allow her to spread her wings. She wanted to sore with the stars. Have an annoying roommate that argue over where the mail goes. Attendant those floor parties. Get her heart broken at least once. Eat cafeteria food while studying. Stay up late talking to people.

She wanted an adventure and not the kind she found in the airport.

She was home bound and the airport was her maze. She knew it well. She knew the fastest lines and what situation to avoid. Simply the transportation and she was excited to see her family.
