2. Straight on through to the other side

On the Eve on Jan's coming of age party. Her mother dragged her to a jewelry shop. She was a girl with a simple is more kind of personality. Jewelry was not her thing nor was lots of makeup. Despite her opinions and way of dressing it still didn't stop her from catching the attention of admirers.

Jane just simply had her eyes on the stars, literally. She loves how they popped out from a darkened sky one by one. Bringing her magic to life with tails from long ago. Her uncle would tell her stories and she grew fond of them more with age. This is why this bracelet caught her attention.

Most of them where pink to purple with flowers. This one was different and as far as she had seen it was a one of a kind. It held starts that changes form blue, purple and even green from time to time. They almost seemed to since her mood. She had no proof of it but when she was happy it seamed to show purples and when she was mad or sad it would turn a sad green.

Jane's mom was a bit of a helicopter mom so it didn't surprise her that she said she should try it on. It was adorable and she did admired it. In no way could they afford it. They only come with a GPS locator and anti proof removal system. Favorite among many fathomable high ranking families.

Many girls who have too much money to spend and want to keep them safe from kidnappings. This only brought a slight problem. tampering with it could blow up a person, or 5. Kinda something they want to deactivate before putting them on a plane. Jane was use to it. Honestly if they could free her she would be grateful.

As she stood in line she made note of 4 people in front and 4 behind her. There was also some stragglers roaming around. Only a few people caught her attention. One was a man he walked casually with a since of high intelligence. People like this made her uncomfortable because they reminded her of her father. They willed a power in themselves. This wasn't a bad thing it just made her heart beat a little faster.

Jane was quickly brought back to a small room to have her bracelet removed. Mr mustache was her officer of the day. She called him that because his name badge read Officer Butt. She cringed at the thought of ever retelling this story and hoped he was the kind of officer that wasn't too thorough. Most people wearing those simply lost their key. Jane only wished. She knew the drill 10 master keys. 8 master locks and one master code. After that a body check and a body scan.

Half way through Jan's was ready for breakfast and her stomach made sure everyone knew of her discomfort. 5 different people walked in gave her a gentle smile. They would say something like "this will just be a moment." Then huddle in the corner to discuss the situation. She hated the way it made her feel. She always had the urge to shout out i am innocent. She knew keeping quiet and showing no signs of aggression was the best corse of action. She knew they would be watching her throughout her whole time being at the airport. They probably had her face up on a board in the society office by now.

Jane knew what the problem was and she normally sat by herself or in a separate section of the plane. One time she sat with the sturdiest. There was always a marshal close to her or sitting next to her. Jane could always spot them with ease. Men don't come out of the factory looking like that. Their faces seam to be frozen.

Jane was finally released with 5 people still scratching their heads. With how many times she came through in the last four years. You would think that it would at least be more familiar with the concept. In fact it was uncommon. Jane didn't know she was the only one that couldn't have hers removed. For them to not be able to remove it was a concern. Since the military uses them on a regular basis and fly on their airplanes. They had no choice then to send her through. The bracelet company reported that they have had no issues of them going off without the 3rd core cut. Only military had that kind of tool. She was just as much as a threat as anyone else. They released her after Officer but did a pat down on her and sent her through the scanner.
