Once Jane was released there was only one thing on her mind, breakfast. Jane had been in school for four years. She was thankful that the airport hadn't changed. She knew exactly how much time all 3 stages would take. She had her favorite places to sit and watch the various workers. There was always something interesting happening in an airport. Her only regret was not grabbing an apple on her way out. She had twenty minutes till she needed to board, this was just enough time to get a cinnamon roll. It could be argued that cinnamon rolls are her favorite food. She could smell the sweet aroma. It she wasn't hungry before she reached the end of the line she soon would be.
Jane recalled the people that where in the security line on her way in. Two people where constant everyone else made their way to different sections of the airport. The man who gave her flutters and the lady with 2 children one being in wheelchair. The other in a baby sling. It was clear she had her arms full. Jane felt guilty when she chose the other line. She had learned certain situations to avoid to make her process as quick as possible. The two adults seamed to know each other. He was carrying one of her bags. You could tell because it was pink. He was walking a distance from her so she quickly decided they must be friends or aquanauts.
Jane was on her way to get a big cinnamon roll from her favorite cart. She was daydreaming and her stomach was in agreement. Her stomach decided to behave since she had made the right choice. Upon reaching the cart she noticed it was busier then normal. She wished again that she had either grabbed breakfast on her way out or came ten minutes earlier.
There was two customers before her. They looked like trouble. Her stomach won the argument. She stayed out. One was a tall business man he stood close to six and a half feet tall. The man seamed to be working even when he wasn't working. He was on the phone and something wasn't going well. He continued to say no.! is not an option. Jane decided to give him extra, extra space this time. He was turned around almost trying to face the person on the phone. His elbow brushed Jane's shoulder and she was glad she had given him extra space. He didn't seam to notice.
Jane secretly felt uncomfortable around tall men. She only stood five foot four on a good day. He was clearly paying more attention to his conversation rather then his surroundings.
The lady waiting for her rolls was fighting with her kid. He was pushing extra sauces and packets off the counter. This mother was trying to keep them from falling and ordering. She continued ordering not knowing what they had made her life difficult. The young boy started hitting her on her belly all while yelling mommy over and over again. She finally gave him the attention he wanted. She asked him to please be patient and she would get him some chocolate milk. It still didn't appease him. He made a face of frustration. once she continued her conversation he went back to throwing packets on the floor. Finally the lady pulled him away from the counter and continued to hold his arm. The lady quickly finished her order. he was just standing there glaring at his mom. He put his finger in his nose. He pulled it out and wiped it on his mother's pants. Jane made a face and had a quick conversation with her stomach again. How apologizing she thought to herself. She turned her attention away the boy. Jane was having her own argument and power struggle with her stomach at the moment.
She took a deep breath. Having younger siblings she knew situation like this was a mother's worst nightmare. Yet the lady didn't seam to mind. Jane had watched women change when they became parents. Normal thing that they would never do. suddenly because part of a norm. Jane was grateful for a mother like hers. Her mom could have solved that situation with one straight glair in her brothers direction.
She had three sisters and two brothers. Her mother ran her house with love and respect. If you didn't want to be part of the family you where welcome to stay in your room till you came to your senses. A smile came to her face thinking of her younger years.
Remember the kitchen was outside of the bedroom. Jane always folded early her stomach made sure of it. Jane pondered on this for a moment. It always seamed her mom would cook cinnamon rolls whenever she was grounded to her room. She thought about this and decided she would have to confront her mother on this subject.
Oh how she wished she had just grabbed an apple. Darn Persians she thought to herself. That was the reason why she was late she was reading and lost track of time. She knew that the boy would calm down once he had his food. Boys where like that food or sleep was normally their issue. It just didn't help the speed of the line any. She was going to have to eat fast. Not something she liked to do. Normally she would unroll them and nibble them down like a fruit roll up.
Jane had twelve minutes before they started boarding she had to be in the first group. They wanted to reduce the amount or people she came in contact with on the plane. She also had to be the last one to leave the plane. Rules that she was already foriamlor with.
She finally had her cinnamon roll and a cup of coco because she didn't like to drink coffee before she flew. It seamed to make it hard for to relax. Coco on the other hand had a soothing reaction. It was probably more to do with the fond memories that came along with the brown creamy cup of goodness.
Jane ate her food and gave no quarter. She was hungry and it was food. There was no argument that could be made to save it from the depths of her stomach. Her stomach replied in a thankful fashion. Jane was feeling much better but she was still pressed for time. It seamed to be contagious because a few other people started to clean up their tables as well. Including the tall suit still on his phone call. She wondered how he was able to talk and eat at the same time. She shrugged it off as soon as she recalled her younger brother eating.
In less the three seconds her plan of going straight to boarding was canceled. She stood at the corner of her table collection her items. The tall business man still on the phone turned around to and bumped into her. She didn't see him coming. Where did he come from. She was focusing on making sure she didn't forget anything. His arm bumped her chest and spilled the remainder of his coffee down her sweater. Jane stood there in shock from the very warm liquid that was running down her shirt. She was grateful it wasn't hot anymore. She looked into the face of the business man for the first time. She looked with shock and frustration. He had stunning eyes and a smile to go with it. She wanted to yell at him. She wanted to tell him to put his phone away. He pulled out a card before she could react sliding it into her hands he said "i am sorry call my assistant." In a soft whisper while covering his phone. He then walked away towards her terminal.
Jane just stood there at that moment wondering, breathing and silently wishing that his phone would die. Images of revenge flashed before her eyes. She was also taking pleasant in the simple fact that you can't make phone calls on the plane.
