A gasp

Angela entered the car it had been raining and she took extra care. Sliding the seat all the way back to give herself extra room. Her belly was definitely starting to become difficult to manage. She placed her bags next to her checking to make sure everything was accounted for. She knew this was the last time she was going to be here. Her next stop would be the end of the chapter of this story. Angela collected herself before making eye contact with Ann. Her mother in law seamed off but who wouldn't in a situation like this. With the rain coming down and the heavy complex situation she brushed it off. Angela was grateful she picked her up in the covered loading station and was transporting her. Her mother in law's kindness was a true blessing in her life.

Angela had spent many hours in the car with Ann. They would talk and her mother in law was normally almost annoyingly positive. Angela had a feeling Ann knew something but kept it to herself. She was amazing at being kind to others even when the storm was brewing inside her. Angela knew Reese's desire for his body when he passed. She knew that when he died that she would never see his body again. Her thoughts fell on that thought and in that moment her heart asked for Ann. She was going to be a mother soon and couldn't imagine losing her baby. Today the storm was brewing all round then and it seamed to fit the seen well. Even the heavens where crying.

In the mist of the storm it also seamed to bring a since of rhythmic comfort, almost like a forgotten lullaby. It brought back a memory of her and Reese. They had planned to go to the beach. It was canceled, do to the rain. Reese had this spot he liked to go to, there was a sidewalk that went all the way to along the shoreline. It was rare to find such a magical place. Troy had found it and it became a common vacation spot for him. Normally places like this where almost off limits to him. He would only be able to see it from afar. Similar to a painting close enough to feel it yet never truly be engaged.

It was raining that day. They sat for hours listening to song until it finally died down. They stayed in and watched the sun rise together. Laying in the bed and holding the quiet moments around them. They both felt the sun kiss them for the fist time chasing away the cold. This memory would remain with Angela forever and it was her happy place. She straddled his lap brushing the hair from his face. Kisses his cheeks, his nose eyes and his soft lips. Reese held her with his protective arms. They where going to be together forever. She was never going to let him go and she knew that he would never let her slip. As their lips touched each other's they yearned for each other and that was a feeling that would never died. They where one in sole and in heart.

Ann turned in to a dirt road. The car smooth ride became bumpy and unsettling. Angela broke from her trance. She was shocked and confused. What Ann said next made her body tense in anxiety. I don't have much time to explain. I promise everything will be ok. I need you to call your mom. Tell her you took a cab ride to meet me at the hospital. That you couldn't wait. Their eyes caught each other's. It was true that she hadn't talked to her parents yet. Why would she ask her to lie?Angela knew she couldn't ask and she didn't know why. She was going to have to trust her. Soon her hand was dialing and an award winning drama played out.

Ann was the only one to witness the event. She was proud and sad she would probably never see her again. Her beloved daughter and granddaughter unofficially. One can hope and dream. She knew they where going to disappear forever. She was grateful and heartbroken. Ann knew that if she left that they would know. Taking Angela here and saying goodbye was the only comfort she would have in life. She trusted her husband and Russel with her life. If there was anyone she would trust her children to it would be them. She took comfort that she was with them when they needed her. Now they would have to do the rest without her.

Ann looked at Angela and instructed her to go inside the building knock on the door only once and then meow like a cat. Wait exactly three minutes and try the door knob. Angela looked at her mother in law with confusion and disbelief. She almost didn't get out of the car. This woman had gone mad. Then a voice ringed in her head again. She probably will never ask you a "what if question". She will never ask you to do something that you will be harmed. But, if she does don't take it lightly. There are a handful of times my mother has asked me to do something strange. I don't know why in till afterwards. If there is one person in this world, I had to put my life in their hands, it would be my Mother.

Angela got out of the car with a purse and a bag of clothes. She walked with the headlights shining on her back. She walked slowly towards an empty building and thought this is where i am going to die. As faith would have it, her heart kept her feet moving. Soon she was out of sight of the car and found the door. Knock once then meow like a cat. How long was she to meow. Why meow of all things. This reeked of a horror movie. Her heart wasn't giving her any piece. Reese's voice kept calling out to her in her thoughts. She loves us with all her sole. She would never ask you to do something that would harm you. So she found her hand leaving a large echoing sound on the door and a big cat sound ringed from her lips. She waited three minutes and turned the knob but it was stead fast. Was this an elaborate joke. She closed her eyes and the moment she released the door handle it opened. What she saw next was a seen out of a horror movie itself.
