Smile for the camera

Hope kept up the act and could have won an Oscar. She shopped, went to dinner and was seen in public as much as possible. Despite her worries and fears there was a smile on her face. She desired to be by Jane's side. To watch over her and care for her. That was the place a mother should be. Hope knew this was the best place she could be. Even though every part of her body felt wrong.

Jane's stunt double was enjoying the thought of her paycheck. This job was going to pay her enough for living expenses for three months. Her housing was already covered to just be available. Not to mention how easy it was. There where so many perks to being this rich girls double. Her parents where enablers but that wasn't her problem. The hardest part was faking getting sick at the end of the trip. She didn't love having people touch her but every job has it's downfalls.

Faking an appendix attack was easy and hard at the same second. Of corse the doctor was in on it as well. She was in no danger of such a performance. The Doctor called it a test for the greenies. She just thought that the rich girl must have a drug problem, that must put her family to shame. All the proper blood work would be ran and the test would be altered by none other then the Cameron. He would smirk too himself as he changed all the labs. The next step was to switch Jane before she woke up.

Since nurses where in and out it was easy to do. They where mini doctors in their heads. they did small tasks associated to the client. It wasn't their job to even notice a person had switched spots. They looked enough alike that if you didn't know her personally. Well they where golden. Nurses never really seamed to notice since their jobs where to be hospitable. In the halls their real personality came alive.

Jane had never been questioned before so they never really filled her in about the shopping trips. Her men watched her closely and would intervene if anything because serious. This was the fifth trip her stunt double had done over the years and she had developed a relationship with Hope. It made it easier for the two of them on the trips. Hope started to like the girl and it was always a bittersweet ending. Yet this trip was a little more complicated then most.

Normally Hope would go on vacation to cover the tracks and Jane would be at the center being sick. Till the last day then she would get food poisoning or a really bad migraine. Her stunt double knew the routine but never knew why she was to act sick at the end of every trip. It was a small price to pay for a nice get away. Normally she would be told to go home and get some rest. She did however have to get her blood drawn.

This was one thing Cameron couldn't alter he couldn't hack into the government sight despite his best efforts or the whole situation would have been avoided from the start.

Jane would be told that she became sick and was rushed to the hospital where she spent three days recovering from an appendix attack. It was simple enough to place three small incisions on her tummy to cover any suspicion. Only their doctors would ever examine her so there was no harm fooling them. Then keep her in recovery for three days. By then everyone would be in the clear.

If it was reported then Russel would have to show evidence to his supervisor that his daughter was accounted for. All her blood work had to be sent to headquarters. They didn't know who's daughter she really was except for Ann. That was kept hush hush and she wasn't his supervisor. She was in a different department. Kyle on the other hand was a scientist in that same team. It was only because they had code names that Russel was able take his friends power and daughter. Kyle was the only person who knew the face to the code names. That was till he disappeared and was presumed dead. Kyle switched the two people. He knew the new born child would be killed or taken and used for lab experiments. He would be the person that would be forced to do such experiments. Having children of his own children he couldn't do that, exactly not to his friends. That was a sin again nature. In the end it caused him to have to go underground. Losing his own children but not his honor.

Jane would be out of the supernova stage. Clear from TRN cells. Touching her wouldn't connect her to a new patient. She would have used up all her TRN-cells. Transferable Regeneration Neurons. TRN is what the doctors referred to them and yet only one doctor looks for them. Every person has a small amount of TRN and this is what explains the placebo effect. They where only studied in the lab where Jan's parents where transformed. Not only did she build up these cells. She would transfer them by releasing them. She did it at such an alarming rate. This is why she wore the bracelet. The bracelet would neutralize her ability to transfer them. Only when she became strong enough would she transfer them.

This was only the second time she was hospitalized for a period of time. It was easy enough to just say she was sick with the flu. Normally she was taken to a clinic to just be checked out. Or her double would make the visit. To satisfy the agency. This rule went for all of his children. He just wasn't hiding anything with the other four.

This time was a whopper and she knew how to pick a tough case. In the same second if she could randomly choose a person Reese was an excellent choice. The part that confused Kyle was why didn't she do this when he spilt hot coffee on her. Her bracelet gave no indication that she had high levels.
