Kaname woke up in his room, the sun being his alarm. A knock came from his door and he sighed as he shot out of bed. The door flew open and water had been thrown into his faces. Blinking, he looked at the culprit to see that it was Izana and his brass knuckles had been thrown on. "How the hell did you even get in?" He asked the girl and she took a photo of him being wet on her phone. She was about to post it on Instagram until Kaname punched the phone and caused it to shut down. Stomping off in anger, Izana went to Arisa's room to help her get ready for school. Kaname decided that it was time to get a new chauffeur who doesn't try her absolute best to ruin his morning.
Walking to the bathroom in his room, he stepped inside the shower and tried his best to wash any dirt out of his hair. In the last two weeks, he has been fighting many boys and girls as training for his rematch against Bakura. Bakura had greatly humiliated him to the point where he had to rely on Soichiro, the weakest boy of Namimori, to defeat him. The damage to his pride was so large that he couldn't bare to look at himself in the mirror.
Stepping out of the shower, he changed into his school uniform and walked down to the kitchen with a tired look on his face. It appears that Kaname had been enjoying his sleep and Izana chose to be a bitch and wake him up. What was that girl's problem? His aunt had given him a plate with bacon and eggs on it, and a cup of orange juice. What a great way to start off his day. Eating quickly, he took a sip of his orange juice and looked behind him to see Arisa with Izana. Arisa had finally gotten out of the wheelchair and was able to walk. "Arisa, come get your plate. You must be starving since you were up all night trying to finish that poster project. When was it due again?" Her mom asked and Arisa was stuffing her mouth full of food. Izana had warned her to slow down or she'd choke to death with a piece of bacon in her throat.
Arisa had pointed to Kaname, who was doing the exact same thing, and Izana sighed in frustration of Kaname being in the kitchen. "Yeah Arisa, you should slow down a bit. You don't wanna end up in the hospital like Soi-loss." Kaname teased her and she looked away while sipping her cup of apple juice. Izana had been eating a few pieces of bacon and her scarlet hair had distracted Kaname for a few seconds. He looked away from her once she met his eyes, confused on why he had been looking at her. "You're one to talk, Kaname! You ate an entire box of pizza when we were little!" Arisa had laughed aloud with Kaname and the two cousins had the entire house awake now.
Once breakfast had been over, Kaname walked out of the house and through the streets of Namimori. "I have time to kill. The school won't reprimand me for being late." He thought to himself as he stepped foot into the entertainment district and saw a woman who looked wildly familiar. He squinted his eyes a bit and saw that it was Hoshika, one of Soichiro's friends. She looked to be his aunt though. Stepping closer to her, he had saw that she was watching one of the losers here play ping pong with another kid. "Go Lucci, you've got this!" She had shouted words of encouragement as Lucci, the boy in a black tuxedo, had beaten the other kid in ping pong and had been gloating in the kid's face. Hoshika recorded Lucci robbing the kid of his money and the small crowd that had been around them scattered like ash in the wind. What a bad influence on kids this woman was. Lucci noticed Kaname had been looking at them and hopped to him, annoying Kaname before the conversation even began. Lucci "accidentally" fell towards Kaname and their bodies collided. Kaname hadn't been the one to topple over, in fact Lucci had been the one on his butt. Feeling something had been off with his hands, Kaname had looked at his knuckles and saw that his brass knuckles had been swiped off him. Easily too. Lifting Lucci by his shirt, his crimson eyes had stared deeply into Lucci's soul and saw that he wasn't an innocent 10-year old. Lucci punched Kaname in his chest and was freed from his grasp. Flipping Kaname off, Lucci had ran off into the crowds and Kaname was devoted to finding the little bastard.
Fortunately, Hoshika came to his aid. "Get your kid, lady. Tell him to give me back my brass knuckles or be beaten to death in front of this entire district." Kaname threatened Hoshika by showing her his dented batons and she laughed at him. Her laughter had annoyed him so much that he raised his left baton and took a wild swing for her neck. Her hand grabbed his wrist and she began to squeeze, causing the boy to feel immeasurable pain. "Are you... really going to fight Bakura if you can't take this? It'd be a sad way to die." Hoshika told the boy as she grabbed his left baton with her left hand and threw it to the ground. She raised her foot and slammed it down on the baton, causing it to shatter into metal pieces. Kaname watched with wide eyes, he had never seen someone able to break his batons with ease. Better yet, she hadn't even shown any signs of pain! She repeated the action again with his right baton and watched him stare at the pieces with dull red eyes.
Scoffing, she threw his brass knuckles at his legs and walked away to find Lucci. Dropping to his knees, Kaname stared at the pieces of his batons and placed a hand on them. He was heart broken that his batons had finally... been destroyed. It'd be impossible to repair them now.
Picking up a few pieces of the batons- no, what's left of them. Kaname couldn't even speak because he felt his throat close everytime he wanted to say something. Walking through the entertainment district, he saw many kids with their parents. They all had one thing in common: Laughter. He could hear all of them laughing about something and it was beginning to irriate him. He saw a few teenagers in front of him, pointing straight at him and howling in joy. They walked up to him and surrounded him in a circle. They must have thought he was apart of the district to be laughing at him like this. It was just pure disrespect and he didn't like it. Not one bit. "Look at him, he looks like he's about to cry!", one of the boys had shouted and Kaname's ear perked up once he heard that. These kids... must have not known who he was or what he could do to them. His brass knuckles slipped on and the crowd expected him to be on the ground. Crying like a little baby. His face darkened in anger as dark red aura had shrouded his body, making him seem like a devil from hell.
The crowd suddenly stopped laughing and saw how angry he was getting. But... the group of boys continued to laugh at him and take pictures. "What are you gonna do, throw a temper tantrum!?" A boy said and that was it.
Kaname grabbed a boy by his shirt and had his fist connect with his jaw. The boy had been knocked out without much difficulty. Kaname looked to see the group of boys rushing at him and he smiled as he ran at them. He had leaped over them, turning around and attacking one of them in the back. The boy had let out a pained yell as Kaname's fist had reached his spine. Only three had been left and each had a switchblade out for Kaname. Surprisingly, no in the crowd tried to stop them and just let them fight. A chubby boy ran at him with his switchblade out in front of him and Kaname just moved to the side with his foot out. The chubby boy fell and saw a foot on the hand that carried the switchblade.
"Who gave you this? You're not old enough to even carry this." Kaname said before he heard a war cry from another boy. He turned his head to see the skinny dude running at him and he sighed as he held out his leg. The kid had ran straight into it and was knocked out from the kick. Facing the remaining one, he smiled and said "boo". The kid ran off while screaming for his mommy. Ignoring the little bastard, he turned his attention back to the chubby kid and repeated his question. "S-s-some kid from Kokuyo Middle school! H-h-he gave it to us for p-p-protection since some guy was going around m-m-m-murdering people!" The chubby boy said as Kaname punched him in the back of the head. It was gentle but still knocked the kid out. Dusting himself off, he turned to walk away and the crowd had cheered him for some diabolical reason.
"Barbarians. Did they really think that was for entertainment? I should have never came to this place." Kaname says with a sassy wave at the crowd. They all cheered even louder and he was not in the mood for paparazzi. Walking straight out of the entertainment district, he roamed the streets of Namimori and tried his best to keep his anger under control. He was once again at Q's restaurant, goaded into entering by the sweet smell of buttered popcorn. He couldn't resist the urge to not follow the smell and this is where it lead him to. Q had been serving a few toddlers cups full of buttered popcorn and seemed to be enjoying it. Kaname had hesitated to speak to the woman because... something was a bit off about her. She may have looked like an innocent chef but he couldn't shake the feeling of a monster being hidden under that smile. A small drop of his sweat met the floor and Q noticed Kaname had been standing there, possibly waiting for her to get done with the toddlers.
Shooing them away, Q held out a cup full of popcorn to Kaname. "So what brings you here, Kaname? You actually want to eat something or is there a problem?" She asked with a curiosity in her tone of voice. Kaname got closer to the woman's face, his crimson eyes glaring at her soul through her eyes. She wasn't phased in the slightest by this action and stared him down for what seemed like hours until Kaname spoke up. "I don't know, you tell me. You have a major connection to Soichiro and his gang full of trash, don't you? Ever since you came into my town... I've had nothing but trouble. So tell me: Are you apart of that Giove nonsense?" He wasn't asking; he was demanding her for an answer and he was going to stop at nothing to get it. Raising his fists, Kaname was prepared to knock some type of "sense" into the woman if she refused to answer his questions. A smile formed on the woman's lips and the chef placed a hand on the boy's shoulder. "Are you sure you should be threatening me like that, especially in my own establishment that I happily paid for? But to answer your question..."
Her voice had suddenly started fading away as Kaname's body had been falling to the ground. Sleepily raising his eyebrow in shock, he finally closed his eye lids and felt himself being carried by Q. Q had placed him in a room with white candles lit for him. Occasionally he would begin to regain consciousness but Q would make him go back to sleep. Pretending to be asleep, Kaname could feel that his wrists had been restrained by some sort of rope and his legs remained free. He figured that Q hadn't cared enough to tie up his legs, which would be her downfall.
"Now to get out of here... I know the old hag is still here, I can literally smell that perfume from all the way over here. Maybe breaking free of my restraints would be a bad idea; The woman isn't going to waste any time with me and off me without a care in this dawned world. FUCK!" The boy thought as he realized he had no way out of here until the woman had decided to free him. Opening his eyes, he noticed two sharp pointed spears had been aimed directly at where he was sitting and he leaned back. He felt the cold steel of a blade poke his spine and held back a yelp. Was this woman really intent on him not leaving here? It's not like he's some sort of demon from hell that needed a exorcism. Q looked at him and her eyes gave off an unexplainable lust, making the boy look away from her with all his might.
"So you're Kazuki's grandson, Kaname. I've always wanted to meet you... not as the chef but as my true self. I'm Quinzel, preferably Q, the Giove's top informant. Let me explain so your slow self can understand. I am apart of the Clover, the Giove's information and research team. We keep tabs on any new possible threats to the mafia such as chemical weapons for example. The Clover is always gathering new types of information that can help us in the future. Which is where you and your own family comes in, Kaname. Your–" she hadn't gotten the chance to finish as he shouted 'blah blah blah'. Kaname was refusing to listen to the woman and started yelling over her words, acting like a complete child and annoying the woman greatly. Definitely not the reaction she expected out of Namimori Middle's strongest man but she had to make do with what she got.
Raising up her hand and beckoning someone behind her to come out, she smiled as Kaname's mouth was agape. An old man, who looked to be in his mid 60's, stepped forward to Kaname and had a smile on his face. He was wearing a standard red suit with a large K on the sleeves. "Hello, Kaname. I've seen that you are still fighting, regardless of when your mother had forbade you from doing so." The old man says with his smile getting slightly wider as he looked at Kaname. Kaname was in mortal shock of who the man was, just by looking at his suit was enough to make Kaname smile. "You crazy old man! Why the hell are you not in your retirement home with Grandma?! You know how weak your immune system is!" Kaname shouted at his grandpa, Kazuki, and the old man was at a loss for words.
Q was watching the two bicker about what the other had been doing and yawned as they had began to bore her. Silently eating popcorn and looking at her phone, she had gotten on to Twitter and was looking at the drama about Sonic Colors Ultimate. Being a huge fan of Sonic the Hedgehog, she was obligated to look at the tweets. What she had seen was... madly disrespectful to Sega, comments literally begging Sega to give Sonic off to another company. Some had been enjoying the bugs and glitches in the games, all except the "Save Data gets corrupted" bug. Q wouldn't even buy the game if her save data was corrupted and she'd have to start from the very beginning. It'd be a pain in the ass. All she could muster was "damn" as she looked through the comments of the official sonic account.
"Kaname, Quinzel didn't bring you here to just... kill you. I don't know why those spears are here but they aren't meant to kill you. Listen to my words, Kaname. Don't block them out; Just listen. Remember that story about your great (×5) grandmothers, sailing across the world in search of ingredients? That was just a fairy tale, a children's story created to prevent any of their descendants from finding out the most dangerous secret held within the family. Me and my wife, your grandma, had felt that it was time to tell you who you really are. The truth cannot be locked away forever from you... You'd have eventually sniffed it out." Kazuki sat down on a chair behind himself, his red cane being pointed at Kaname's chest and the boy had been wary of the cane. It reminded him of the stories his dad used to tell him whenever his grandpa came to Namimori, usually on vacation or business trips.
Kaname knew that whenever Kazuki shows his cane, it always meant that something terrible was going to happen. But for this conversation to be brought up... especially after the fight with Bakura... it just felt a little too much for the disciplinary committee leader. Then again, his job was never done. Q rolled her eyes as she felt the tension between the two males had grown much more than it was previously. Q had noticed that Kaname wasn't being disrespectful or just plain rude to Kazuki; He was actually treating his elder with respect. Kaname had been quiet, pondering over Kazuki's words.
"So does this have anything to do with these Giove people? Because this guy, Renovatio or something, told me that I was a weapon for them. Nothing but a weapon. If I'm a weapon, what does that make him?" Kaname let his thoughts be heard by his grandpa and Kazuki had raised an eyebrow at the mention of Renovatio. Kazuki held back his surprise of Renovatio already having talked to the boy. He was glad that Renovatio had been smart enough to not have told Kaname about his heritage and what he was soon to inherit. The young boy's pride was already high in the clouds, he didn't wish for his ego to get up there as well.
"Kaname, who do you think you are? Do you think you are just Arisa's and Namimori Middle's divine protector? You could be so much more than that if you just looked deep inside your heart. You aren't a weapon, forget what Renovatio had said. It's time for you... to create a new destiny for our family and those who come after us." Kazuki told his grandson with each word being true to his heart. Kaname's black hair had shielded his eyes away from his grandfather's stone-cold eyes. He felt... some sort of calmness from his grandfather, a relief that he was the only person who understood Kaname's feelings and actions. Kazuki's cane had lightly tapped Kaname on the shoulder, forcing the boy to look at his grandfather's eyes. Gulping nervously, "I think... you should tell me what our predecessors had done to us. We ALL need to know the truth, old man!" Kaname said as his crimson eyes let out a faint red glow. Q watched them with her full attention now, writing what was happening down on a black diary with the white letters of "GIOVE CHRONICLES" on the cover. Her pen had been frantically moving against the diary, perhaps rushing to complete a paragraph or a side note.
"Well then. Let's keep it between us for now. Including you, Quinzel."
—————————
Allister, Trilla, and Hiyori had been sitting at a Cafe. The three adults were drinking and eating their favorite desserts. Allister had a sprite with a banana split (dude, that's so unhealthy!!) and Trilla managed to sneak in a few bottles of red wine. This earned a few suspicious looks from the other customers everytime she reached for her purse. Hiyori had just been drinking a MONSTER energy drink, watching Allister with a concerned face. "Allister-san, you aren't as old as you used to be! You can't keep eating unhealthy food or you'll end up getting diabetes!" Hiyori scolded him like a full grown mother to her child at a supermarket for placing a piece of candy in the cart. Allister leaned back on his chair and scratched the left side of his neck with his index finger. Trilla watched with a cat like "smile" and reached for Allister's banana split while he wasn't looking. "You sound just like my wife, Veronica. But she had been a little better with a knife-" he stopped mid-sentence as his banana split had vanished from his line of sight and he was SHOOK.
The dude couldn't even see all that well and somehow, he knew it had been Trilla. She was always stealing something from someone, whether or not it always worked out was not in his mind. A knife had been tucked under his white sleeve and the man whipped it out, and before you knew it, the knife had been at Trilla's throat. "Trilla, you know better than to steal from me! I may not have a second eye, but my senses and rights of Justice have always been sharp. I can tell you're still digesting my delicious dessert so I'll spare you the trouble. Give me three bottles of wine and we'll call it even." Allister had said as the knife began to press against Trilla's throat. Trilla sighed as she handed him her purse and he stole at least 5 bottles of wine. How the actual hell was she able to even FIT that many inside? And how was she able to buy that much wine in Japan? The world may never know.
Hiyori watched the two adults with an embarrassed face, "How am I more mature than them?! I'm not even in my late 20's yet!" She thought to herself as she saw Hoshika walking towards them. The woman's black long hair had been floating through the air due to the breezy wind passing her. At first, Hiyori had thought she was trying to go super saiyan like the rest of these kids that pass the Café. Hoshika DID have an angry expression on her face, one so angry that it made a bull cry in shame. Hoshika sat next to Allister, who was currently arguing with a waitress over his eyepatch, and shook hands with Trilla the thief. "Hello, Hiyori, Trilla, and Allister. I was surprised to hear that you three have stayed in Japan, did some job require the three of you to stay here?" Hoshika asked the three of them and Hiyori had thought about her answer. There wasn't much to do in Japan other than listen to her father bragging about her or her mother asking for grandchildren, even though the swordswoman had only been 21.
But... thinking of her brothers and sisters, they weren't thought of much in the Igarashi household. They were just teens/adults who happened to live in the same house as Igarashi Hiyori. "I stayed in Japan to check up on my family and to tell Hotaru that she was going to be receiving a gift from my dad. What about you, Trilla? Are you still trying to get Renovatio's attention?" Once Hiyori had mentioned Renovatio, the blonde woman immediately looked in her direction and moved her head sideways to see if he was nearby. Renovatio was probably watching them from a distance, four sets of rifles aimed at their skulls if they made a false move. But the man had better things to do than stay in Japan all the time; He has many responsibilities as #1, y'all! "Ugh... he's probably out there in Italy, having a one night stand with some girl he met a bar or killing his number one nemesis. Wait, does Renovatio even have a nemesis? I don't think there is many people in the mafia world who would try to fight him. I mean, they'd be famous in a snap for trying to pick a fight with a guy who shot an entire family down with one bullet!" Trilla exclaimed as she laid her head against the table in frustration. She really needs to find a better crush because Renovatio ain't it, sweetheart. Allister patted her back as he too wished Renovatio was here with them.
"Stella, I'm only here to see if Soichiro has any plan to finish off Bakura. We all know that they were not strong enough to beat him as they were, even with our training. They had to know fear and seek ways to overcome it. They didn't beat him at that time: They merely made him retreat, didn't they? He wasn't at his best due to being sick from some dust. Bakura is still a huge threat, regardless if he is weakened by now. Our students are still his targets." Allister had said as his remaining eye glowed a bit before he reached for his phone in his pocket. Pulling it out, he unlocked his phone and showed a few pictures of Bakura that he had took from a distance. The first one had been Bakura injured, four or five of his ribs had most likely been fractured and he was being carried away by his disciples. The second one had shown Bakura wearing a violet robe, praying to a gold statue of Buddha. Bakura definitely didn't strike anyone as the type to worship Buddha, perhaps one of the most peaceful men to have ever roamed this earth. Though, they couldn't entirely be sure that this was Buddha.
Bakura was probably worshipping Hades or some other dude. The third picture was Bakura in the forest, wearing his aforementioned clothing (robe!) and wearing a violet ring on his middle finger. A flame was emitting off the ring, similar to that of Soichiro's orange flame on his forehead. But the flame had been the same color of his robe so it couldn't be the same flame.
Trilla, Hiyori, and Hoshika had been shocked by this. Hiyori shot up and slammed her hands on the table, gaining the attention of every customer in the Café. "Wait! You mean to tell us that... Bakura has a mist ring?! How the hell did he even get one; It's supposed to be impossible to smuggle rings into Namimori! Even my dad couldn't get Giove XI to let him have his ring! We need to find Bakura and get-" Hiyori's yelling had caused a few customers to complain and she flipped them all off with a cocky smile. Sitting back down and being given a bottle of apple juice, Hiyori remained silent as the "adults" had been discussing the dilemma. Allister shook his head as he agreed with Hiyori's idea to find Bakura and... well kill him. The guy was on a completely different level than the 12th generation of the Giove. Even Odysseus, who has the highest durability than anyone else in the family, wouldn't be able to take any blows from Bakura with the mist ring. And what was the mist ring? Well, you'll find out in the next chapter or two. *wink*
"If he had the audacity to bring a smuggled ring in Giove Territory, then he's screwed. But I don't think he's the only one with a ring; In fact, Misuri had a mist ring and used it on the kids, even bringing a box weapon with her. Someone is supplying them with rings, knowing full well that Soichiro and his friends don't have their own yet. So... which one of you is the traitor?" Hoshika's last sentence had struck a nerve in the three hitman. To be considered of treason... was far worse than actual death! Hoshika's purple eyes glanced at Trilla and the blonde was getting angry enough as it is. Trilla stood up and reached for her pistol in her jacket, only to find out that Allister had swiped it from her. "No, Trilla wouldn't do such a thing. She is already intimidated enough by the 11th rain guardian, I don't think she has the energy to smuggle in any rings. As Hiyori had already mentioned, even her father couldn't convince Giove XI to allow rings in the city and you know how much influence that man has. It couldn't possibly be her. And for me? I deal with enough stealing from my own home, I can't sneak in any rings. So that brings us to one conclusion: Perhaps even you, Stella, can be the traitor. Daniel White was not the traitor and had been killed by the left hand of Giove XI, unfortunately. Or... it could be Quinzel. You know very well that woman loves to play mind games with anyone, including Kaname's grandfather. You two... are our primary suspects due to the high connection you have with Giove XI."
Allister's words had been highly reasonable. Whose to say that Hoshika may or may not be the traitor? Hoshika nodded in agreement and looked at Trilla with an apologetic face. Trilla huffed and almost threw her bottle of wine at the centaur of a woman. Hiyori had been radio silent with the group, it was very much clear that they all had problems of their own. "Q isn't a bad person; She just loves playing dangerous games for no reason at all. She's so invested with inquiring information that she has almost sent the entire family into the goddamn ocean. So we should confront her in what... fifteen minutes work for y'all?" Allister had said as he looked at his watch for ONE second and saw that the girls... had disappeared from his line of sight. Sighing with a hint of anger, he watched a waitress through a 200 yen check on the table and slammed his head on it. "DAMN YOU WOMEN!!"
Ironically, fifteen minutes later and the group of hitmen had been outside Q's restaurant. They could clearly hear her ordering a few kids to stop trying to steal all the popcorn. Allister stepped inside the restaurant, looking around with his remaining eye to find Q. The woman had been cooking up some sort of sushi to a group of adults and they were cheering her on. The hitmen sat at a empty table, waiting for the chef/informant to arrive. Allister looked at Hiyori, who had Kubikiri Orochi in it's sheath and it was strapped to her back, and nodded at her.
"Do not provoke Quinzel. She has a nasty temper, much like Stella. But uh... she doesn't look like a minotaur when she-" he stopped speaking as Hoshika punched him across the face and he stopped moving for about a few seconds. He had actually seen God with that punch and his heart had stopped until Hoshika punched him again. She had the power of life and death in those hands! Trilla had also come along, guns and knives hidden in her clothes. She was still insulted by Hoshika for calling her a traitor to the Giove and hadn't spoken to her in the last 17 minutes. "Okay, here's the plan: If it turns out that Q has been selling rings here in Namimori, we'll knock her out and take her to Italy. Then Giove XI will deal with her and probably have her in jail for a few years." Allister casually informed the women as Q headed towards them.
She had a few papers on a clipboard and her pen ready, she was about to feed the most wild group of hitmen. "So what will it be, Alli? Corn dogs with ranch on them for you? And what about the rest of your friends?" Q asked as she wrote down Allister's meal, despite him not even saying anything. Allister rubbed his head at the fact she knew he ate corn dogs with ranch on them and saw the disgusted looks of most of the men in the restaurant. He turned to them and began to shout some lecture about him being old enough to eat what he wants. Allister walked outside with a bunch of men following him and Hoshika already knew what was going to happen. "Q, we haven't come here for any of your food. We suspect that you have given Bakura, Soichiro's first and ONLY nemesis, a mist ring. You know very well that Giove XI had ordered any Giove in Namimori to not reveal or even give out any rings! So tell the truth and maybe... I won't trash this restaurant." Hoshika's threat to destroy the restaurant almost caused a vein to pop out of her and Q had almost slapped the girl across her face.
Hiyori could just feel the tension in the air to slightly suffocate her and Trilla was in dire need of booze. Hiyori watched Q take off her apron and gulped as the woman had pulled out files from her back.
Throwing it on the table, Hoshika and Trilla had read through it. Their eyes had widened with each sentence, making Hiyori even more nervous than she was before. It was obvious that what was written in those files had raised alarming concerns for the women. Allister would have had a heart attack if he had read the files. "So... Giove XI had given her undeniable permission to perform these... 'trials' on Soichiro and his friends. Though, he never said ANYTHING about almost getting him killed by some guy who worships some Egyptian God or something. He also... has a set of rings hidden somewhere in Namimori for Soichiro and his friends. So until they find those rings... Bakura is going to eliminate them with his own. Q is the one who gave Bakura those rings and almost had Soichiro killed." Without a second to think, Hoshika's body had moved on its own and her hand had been wrapped around Q's throat.
The woman had smiled as Trilla had revealed her knives and threw one at Q's side. A silver flash had blinded the three women as Hiyori had removed Kubikiri Orochi from its prison and deflected the knive so that it hadn't harmed Q. Sighing, Hiyori watched Trilla step forward and her gun had been aimed at Hiyori's chest. "Killing her wouldn't change a thing, y'know that. Your boss said that he gave her permission to do this... inhumane stuff to Soichiro. He may be just a kid but sooner or later, this was bound to happen. He has Giove blood in him." Hiyori had calmly spoke to Hoshika and the woman had removed Q from her grip. Trilla put down her gun for a second until she attempted to fire at Q, but Hiyori had sliced her pistol in half without a second thought.
Allister and a group of men walked inside, their clothes dirty and black eyes had filled the restaurant. Allister walked to the females and was genuinely confused at the anger in the air. "What?"
.....
"It is time, Kaname. Time for me to grant you a new set of weapons." Kaname's grandfather, Kazuki, had boomed at his grandson. Kaname was sitting on the ground in a respectful position as Kazuki had held up a smile on his face. Kaname looked up to see a box being lowered down to him and he held it in his hands. Kaname took off the lid to see his new batons, similar to the design of his old ones. Black steel with a red fiery streak down to the grip, placing a smile on Kaname's face. Kaname rubbed his hands across the batons and began to fantasize beating up Kokuyo Middle's third years. He could almost FEEL his batons hitting them across their jaws-- wait, he doesn't need his batons to beat them. Those third years weren't able to beat him in a fair fight last year.
Kazuki saw his grandson dreaming of more fights and sighed before his cane laid against Kaname's head. "Don't get cocky, Kaname. You know very well that even the strongest can be taken out by the weak. Look at what Soichiro did to you and he was just starting out as a fighter. You almost put a disgrace to your own name if you had continued fighting him at that time." This was like... 10 chapters ago, by the way. Anyhow, Kaname stood with his new batons in hand. His crimson eyes had rested themselves on his batons and chuckled as he placed them behind his back. In a good mood, Kaname bowed to his grandfather and turned to exit the room. Once he had gotten to the doorway, Kazuki called out to Kaname once more. "Not everyone remains the same for long, Kaname."
Walking through the streets of Namimori, Kaname had passed by Misa and ended up bumping into her. The girl had been chatting with Odysseus and Hotaru about a few conspiracy theories. Once Kaname's shoulder collided with hers, the violet eyes of hers had been closed as he reached down to help her up. Opening her eyes, she saw... a man in shining black armor! Blushing as she felt like a princess from a fairy tale, Misa had been brought to her legs and Odysseus watched as she had gotten awkward with Kaname. "Sorry for that. Didn't see where I was going." Kaname briefly apologized before attempting to walk away but Misa placed a hand on his wrist and Hotaru immediately rushed to stop her. It was a common rule in Namimori: Don't ever touch Kaname, especially his jacket! Turning his head towards her, he looked down and saw her hand around his wrist. A flash of anger could be seen through his eyes and Odysseus was about to intervene before Kaname spoke. "What is it that you want? If you expect me to have anything special... I'm afraid I left it at home. Now... let go."
He calmly said as it was taking all his willpower to not punch Misa in her face. Hotaru could literally see him restraining himself with all the power he could muster and Hotaru removed Misa's hand from his wrist. Odysseus watched Kaname attempt to walk away again but this time... Misa had spoken out to him. "You're Kaname, right? I've always wanted to meet you... like this. I have heard so many stories about you: You being a vilgante in disguise of a middle schooler, A tik tok rapper, and the future left hand of Giove XII." At the mention of Giove XII, Kaname whipped out his left baton and held it out to Misa. Odysseus and Hotaru knew this had been a threat by Kaname, but it had been rare for him to attack women. Misa's eyes remained determined as she stepped towards him, Hotaru's mouth dropping in surprise of the action. Odysseus had already been planning her funeral and called Stefan for a casket.
"Being that loser's left hand will never happen. I'd rather die than EVER do his dirty work. That's what he is, Soichiro is a mafia boss? He is the one that's been causing all the trouble in Namimori and MY school." Kaname bitterly said as Odysseus had glared at Kaname for speaking like that about Soichiro. Reaching for his gloves, Odysseus was about to send Kaname in a world full of hurt had Hotaru not stopped him. Shaking her head, the white haired girl knew that Kaname needed to hear what Misa had to say. "Soichiro isn't like that at all...! He's more caring than anyone else in this entire city! He is the only person that could come close to defeating Lord Bakura and that says LEVELS to his strength. I just think you... are jealous of Soichiro and his power, thats why you resent him, isn't it? You want the strength and will to be just like him, don't you? News flash: You ain't getting very far if you keep being so stubborn and mean!" Misa shouted at Kaname, gaining the attention of any passing civilians.
Hotaru whistled as Odysseus did his best not to laugh from Misa's words. She really talked her shit to Kaname... THE STRONGEST BOY IN NAMIMORI! Hotaru watched Odysseus laugh and joined in, the two's howling laughter had been irritating Kaname. He was tempted to bash his batons into their skulls if they continued to act like jackasses. "Lord Bakura, huh? I'll kill your lord if I seem him in my town. Then who will you be praying to by then? Stupid girls." Kaname said as he walked away from the teenagers and Misa huffed as she thought to herself.
"He's really just as stubborn as Soichiro said he was! That boy really has no common sense! But... if he does end up fighting Master Bakura, is he strong enough to... finally go toe to toe with him? Wait, why am I thinking like this? Of course he can! I just needed to give him a push to get stronger!" Misa thought as she walked to the mall with Hotaru and Odysseus. The two teens had congratulated Misa for stepping up to Kaname like a boss!
Meanwhile, Kaname had stepped into Kokuyo Middle territory. He was in a terrible mood since Misa had decided to spout some crap about him being jealous. Kicking dust in front of him, he sighed as his batons had yearned to taste the flesh of another human being. He hushed the batons and watched a toddler kick a soccer in his direction. The soccer rolled up to his feet and he knelt down as the kid came over to get his ball. Now, I know what you are thinking: Kaname is going to hurt that little boy! Nah, he wouldn't do that! Believe it or not, but Kaname does have a soft spot for kids. Figured since he has been babysitting Arisa for years, even though she's almost the same age as him.
"Hey! Don't kick that soccer deep into Kokuyo. There's some bad guys around here, y'know." Kaname warned the toddler as he handed the soccer back and watched the kid kick it far away from Kokuyo Middle. Humming the school anthem, Kaname turned around to see a few Kokuyo Middle schoolers. They sported the usual green uniform but one was strictly out of dress code by having his hair so long that it dragged across the ground. The dude was the literal male rapunzel. Though Rapunzel had been a little older. "Whatever, not my problem nor my district." He said as a third year had been behind the middle schoolers. Raising an eyebrow, he watched them get wedgied and thrown into a dumpster by the third year. The guy was definitely a brute and thats just how Kaname liked them.
Kaname followed the third year into Kokuyo Middle and was absolutely disgusted by the place. So much profanity was on the walls that it had hurt Kaname's eyes to even glance at. And whoever placed graffiti of him losing to Soichiro was going to be killed before the day was over. Seeing that the third year took a left turn, Kaname followed him down the long hall until he took the turn and had been punched in the face. He looked to see that it was the third year he was following that punched him and wasted no time getting his brass knuckles on. Throwing a punch to the third year's chest, a bit of blood had been thrown up onto the ground and Kaname hid his disgust with a sigh. The third year wrapped both of his hands around Kaname's neck and did his best to squeeze them so Kaname would pass out.
But his will was much stronger than that. Moving quickly, he uppercutted the third year and was surprised when he hadn't let go of him. Realizing that he had no other choice, he swiftly raised his leg and hit the third year where the son doesn't shine... at least not now. The third year fell to his knees while clutching his middle area and felt Kaname's shoes against his back. Stomping as hard as he can, Kaname was beating the living shit out of the third year. "So thats what you do to those who are younger than you? You pick on them and make them feel weak? You're a real coward!" Kaname shouted and stopped stomping the third year as he heard a foot step towards him.
Kaname looked ahead to see a familiar face, someone who has been fighting Kaname for so long that he couldn't help but crack a smile. The boy in front of him had on the standard green uniform, only a red band had been on his left shoulder and a tattoo resembling a black flame had been covering the left side of his face. His ash-gray hair had been cut short to prevent any sissies from pulling on his hair. "What are you doing in my school, Kaname? You are not welcome here. And you do know that is MY district. Save yourself the trouble and leave." The boy said as he held a staff in his hand, one so silver that it pained Kaname's eyes to look at it. Kaname held up his batons as he charged at the boy, raising the right baton in a diagonal right for the side of his neck. The boy scoffed as he moved his head back, dodging the attack and raised his foot to kick Kaname in his torso. Kaname placed his batons in an X position as the staff was swung into his abdomen, therefore sending him back a few meters.
"You've gotten good... Kenji! I've always wanted to have another spar with you, even though I know you can't beat me. You're just... that fun to fight!" Kaname boldy said as Kenji sighed before rushing at Kaname. He jumped into the air and had his foot aimed for Kaname's face, but Kaname threw his batons into the air as he grabbed Kenji's ankle and slammed him on the ground. He was not going to be like Soichiro and act like a goddamn bird! Kenji slammed his staff into the ground, forming a small hole in the concrete of the school, and laughed as Kaname threw him onto the ground. Spinning while having his hands wrapped around the staff, Kenji extended his leg and tried to sweep Kaname off his feet.
"So like I said, you gonna get out of here or do I need to knock some sense into you!?", Kenji shouted at Kaname and the boy laughed as his back hit the ground. His batons fell into his hands and he moved to the side as Kenji tried to ram his staff into Kaname's head.
"You're always speaking but...", Kaname trailed off as he got up and was kicked outside of a window. Luckily, it hadn't been a few stories high or Kaname's story would have ended far sooner than I would have liked. Kaname jumped back as Kenji threw his staff to where he had previously been. Quickly looking around at his surroundings, he noticed he was surrounded by the abandoned buildings of Kokuyo Middle. Something had definitely been off as Kenji looked more confident than usual and he could feel... hatred in the air. Kenji laughed as he pulled his staff out from the ground and was about to step closer until he felt a suspicious presence in the air. "Oh, so you've brought the boy. Bring him out... let Kaname have a little fun with him for now." Kenji said before disappearing in thin air, making Kaname raise an eyebrow in surprise. Kenji had never shown himself to be that fast! If he was, then the fight should have been over from the start. Looking around, he saw students from Kokuyo Middle in the abandoned buildings and let out an irritated sigh as he could just tell what Kenji was planning. "A 100 man spar. This is just ridiculous, only my Grandad was able to win something like this." Kaname muttered to himself as Lucci was thrown next to Kaname and Kenji laughed as the boys glared at him.
"He was a feisty one; Hard to control unless we gave him ice cream. I hope you two have fun fighting my friends! They surely want to bash your skulls in!" Kenji laughed as Kaname untied Lucci and prepared himself for the most tiresome fight he has yet to experience.

I'm glad to show the 20/21 chapter of the series. Now let's get to the interview, Mr.... uh I forgot your name.
Random reporter: It's Maxwell and I'm here to interview the actors for your show, the 12th family Chronicles. Let's start it off with the big dog! The meanest of the meanest! The best of the best! The strongest bastard to ever walk this earth-
Your overselling it.
Maxwell: IT'S RENOOOOOOVATIOOOO
Renovatio: *Walks into the room and sits on a chair that was facing Maxwell* Hello, Maxwell. I'm a huge fan of your podcast "Misogyny is goo-"
Maxwell: AYT! No! Female viewers watch this and you know very well how angry they can be on Twitter. Look at what they did to the Sonic Studio for the Sonic movie!
Renovatio: Technically, it wasn't just females. The entire internet joined forces and bullied a studio so hard that they redesigned Sonic completely. MAN THAT WAS SO FUCKING HILARIOUS, PLEASE DO IT AGAIN!
You are one chaotic man. A madman...
Maxwell: Uh, anyways... Renovatio. Let's start with a bit of 20 questions! What is your favorite TV show of all time?
Renovatio: Ben 10. Not the reboot, the original along with Alien Force and Ultimate Alien. And yes, I FUCKING LOVED OMNIVERSE. KISS MY ASS INTERNET.
Maxwell: Oh really? Who was your favorite alien?
Renovatio: Heatblast or Diamondhead! Heatblast literally performed a Kamehameha during an episode in 2007! Diamondhead is just that mf!
Maxwell: You love to see a man-child, folks. Renovatio, do you have a celebrity crush?
Renovatio: I don't need to have a crush on anyone because they will end up being mine. Look at Taylor Swift! I was dating her for a few months awhile back and I broke up with her so then we became on and off. I finally had enough and got with a few of her friends-
Have you... have you been following Hoodville-
Maxwell: Screw that, this man dated Taylor Swift?!? How the actual hell is that even possible!
Renovatio: Oh, y'know... we do what we gotta do.
Maxwell: Oh my god... ahem! Anyways, next question. What is your favorite video game? And please for the love of God, do not say a sex-
Renovatio: Believe it or not, I used to play Mario 64 a lot as a kid! Man, when I tell you I got scared when Mario jumps into the paintings... and I STILL CAN'T CATCH THAT FUCKING RABBIT! FUCK!
Maxwell: Okay, I can relate to you on that. That goddamn rabbit was so fucking difficult to catch that I had to get my big brother to help me!! It just irriates me when I think about it.
Oh, me too. Though I eventually caught it by myself.
Maxwell: You're fucking lying.
On God, I am.
Maxwell: Next question. Are you and Hoshika (Stella) dating or are you two friends with benefits?
Renovatio: Hard to answer. But we ain't dating, thats for sure! I think she's dating some third rate hitman in secret or something.
Maxwell: I thought you guys looked cool together in... chapter 10? Was it chapter 10, Zenin?
Can't lie to you, I forgot. Let me go check real quick. *leaves*
Maxwell: Now we got Zenin out, we can finally ask the real questions!
Renovatio: Wait what?
Maxwell: Renovatio, who is the strongest in the 12th family?
Renovatio: Each and every one of them has a strength and weakness. All of them help each other make up for what they lack. Like Odysseus makes Yoruichi get serious in a bad situation while Yoruichi helps Odysseus build up muscle since he isn't the strongest at attacking. Odysseus does have the highest defense in the family. Maybe we can make cards out of them and play it as a TCG (Trading Card Game)!
Maxwell: That does sound like a good idea! Is Lucci apart of the 12th family, Renovatio?
Renovatio: He can't be in the 12th family for one particular reason: HE'S APART OF THE GELATO FAMILY! Yes, they are actually called that. They do make the best ice cream in the world...
Maxwell: So wait, does that mean that the 12th family isn't full yet?
Renovatio: Precisely! We only have four people qualified to protect Soichiro: Hoshika, Hotaru, Yoruichi, and Odysseus. Kaname isn't joining due to Zenin being a stupid mf and fucking up his entire character. But you'll meet the storm guy in the next season!
Maxwell: How do you already know what will happen in the next season?
He's me... but in character form. *sips tea*
Renovatio: Oh and the end of season one is gonna be at like... at least 40 chapters. You'll get a new big bad by that time! So you guys won't have anything to worry about.
Maxwell: Damn, can we at least get a status update from Bakura? Is he even here in Namimori?
Renovatio: Oh, he is. He's just waiting for Soichiro to come find him and battle him. Those two aren't playing around... for now!
Maxwell: Dang, so we got a lot of new information from Renovatio! How do you like that folks? *Sticks a microphone to the camera*
Renovatio: And now... you know too much, boy. I'm sorry for what I'm about to do. *Slowly pulls out magnum from his pocket*
Maxwell: WAIT, I DIDN'T MEAN IT LIKE THAT!
Renovatio: What- I'm not gonna shoot ya. I'm just offering you a toy gun, some handcuffs, maybe a camaro.
Maxwell: Whew! Well, we'll see you later folks on... DISNEY X-

Maxwell: D!
