The Unexpected Visitor

After all the messing up things came about on the first day of the fair, I come back home with a catalogue of English attractions during World War II. I have never thought of buying such a thing which is from Britain. It sounds strange because I was born in Cambridge. However, many people wonder that I am from Scotland, due to my surname, named after one of the famous wines in Scotland.

The most surprising thing which has ever occurred in a whole day is the opened door. It's such a strange thing because not only she hardly has a guest, but also the library is closed due to my absence. However, I don't think much. I come into the house, and I see two strangers are talking with my teacher cheerfully. They are laughing so loudly that I can hear the noise while I am standing at the gate. I think two persons are coming along with the old-aged member in this house because many people can not come off having such a conversation without arguing with her. I have to say that it is such a miracle not to see her shouting at anyone.

After changing clothes, I come to their spot with the souvenir that I have mentioned before. She is taken by surprise when I give her my souvenir.

"Why do you give such an album which is full of British famous places? That's not you, you know?"

"Such a little surprise for all the things you have done for me since I were here."

Her eyes widely open, and she laughs so loudly that the guests have to turn their heads back. Unfortunately, I recognise that the girl I have met at the fair this morning is sitting in front of my elder teacher. Now she is wearing the same outfit as the one in the daytime.

"What are you doing here, young lady?"

"I take a visit to the library. I would like to see an ancient place like here."

"You have an intention to tell some funny rumours about somebody in this town, don't you?"

"If I say yes, what's matter with you? Unless you are innocent, you will find the way to shut me up."

"Have you thought considerably about everything is going to be done?"

The oldest person gives a sign to stop this conversation. Then she drinks tea in her cup.

"That's not a behaviour that you can do with our guests. That's not polite and hospitality. They deserved something better, not your attitude."

"Miss, I know you are feeling really good when having a small chat with them. However, that doesn't mean I have to stand the behavior of this girl. I don't think I have to draw back by anyone."

The old teacher shakes her head slightly. Then, she pushes me outside the room with the walking stick in her hand after apologising to the guests and asks me to stay in my room until I can calm down.

"You have to be aware that you are the one who representatives the educated class of this town. I can not believe that you judge the people you first meet by their covers."

"Are you blaming me? You seriously don't know anything happened."

"I am blaming your attitude when having a conversation with visitors. You have to understand the fact that there is a few people who are interested in this place. Besides that, I am going back to my birthplace tomorrow."

I can not say anything after that, except asking her why I have no ideas about leaving the house.

"You know my heart is too weak now. I will die. The matter is time. There is no hope to keep me alive anymore."

"You have told me to believe that there is always a light in the darkness. Why do you give up so soon?"

"Being immortal is not good, the librarian."

These are the last words of hers before she slowly shuts up the door in front of me. I have to step back to my private room to prepare the suitcase for my teacher. I think that's all the things I can do for her before the following morning.

"There is no hope for her to save her from the heart attack, is it?"

I don't think that I have such a logical answer for this problem. However, I can swear that I have tried all my best not to make my instructor's heart problems worse.

I don't believe that she can decide to get out of this place without planning. She is not the kind of person to do anything without either a plan or a schedule. Generally speaking, the strangers sitting in the living room must have a role in everything that occurred during two recent days. Unfortunately, I don't notice the visitor coming along with the young girl. I have to admit that it is a failure of mine.

"Is Jun in there?"
