The quickest way to get to the prison

Gabin completely forgot that he had just arrived in a village and he sat cross-legged where he was, in the middle of the main square, to organize the information he had just received from the jade discs.

Elios had really given him some very useful information, he concentrated only on the first floor, as that was where Matthias' prison was located.

Gabin put aside all the information about the quests and rewards they could give, as well as the skills he should choose to create a successful avatar, as it was of no use to him.

He already had everything he needed in his inventory, money, weapons and spells that required no mana to be used.

So he focused on the quickest way to get to the prison and he found that at every step he was limited by the level of his avatar.

To get to the prison, he had to first reach level 10 to be able to be teleported to Spirit City, then he had to reach level 25 to be able to be teleported to Atlea City, then again he had to reach level 40 to be able to be teleported to Hell City which was his last destination before he could storm the prison and save Matthias.

Once arrived at the prison, Matthias had been placed in the depths of it. He clenched his fists in frustration, in the information he had received he realized that not only did he have to fight the poison but the cell he was in was only 5 ° C.

His mother had always told him that the cold slowed down the effects of poisons and those who had placed him here certainly wanted to make him suffer as long as possible.

Gabin calmed his restless mind, those who had done that also had given him the chance to save him by slowing down the effects of the poison.

He would make them paid later, everyone who had hurt him would suffer from his wrath. He stood up, it was time to go and rescue his demon god.

He pulled Excalibur and Nemesis out of his inventory and completely ignored the astonished looks of passers-by who had probably never seen swords floating in the air.

He told them : "Nemesis, I need you to help me to move faster, otherwise with the Stats I have it's going to take us a long time to get to where the strongest magical beasts are.

Excalibur, as for you, on the way kill everything that you see moving, except humans, you can use the means you want, we go where the magical beasts level 10 and + are marked on the map."

The sound of the System then echoed in his head and he opened the interface to see what it was about.

[ Excalibur is downloading the data from the red and green jade disc. ]

Meanwhile, Nemesis had changed shape and transformed into a skateboard that was flying mid-air, it was his favorite form of transportation when he was too lazy to fly.

Gabin said to Excalibur after getting on Nemesis : "We are following you, lead the way."

That was the advantage  to have put his warrior spirit into this sword, it was way smarter that normal people.

While Gabin was leaving village 44 which looked like a starting village for any video game he had played, all the players gathered to observe him with curiosity.

This new player who had just changed one of his swords into a sort of flying board, was now heading towards the Fire mountain, where there were the most powerful magical beasts.

Someone then says : "He's a new player, even with his swords he has no chance of defeating these magical beasts, he's going to get slaughtered."

Another then said : "I'm betting 10 gold coins that he won't last an hour outside the village."

Another said : "I bet 15 gold coins that he won't last for 30 minutes."

A hubbub soon arose but what they all ignored was that they were all doomed to lose their bets.

Gabin had taken the time to read the data on the levels of the magical beasts and other creatures that were in this video game, as well as the levels of the players and he had noticed that the creatures had been created to be stronger than the humans who were, in the game, the same level as them.

Suddenly, he saw Excalibur launching lightning bolts in many different directions and the sound of the System echoed in his head again, he opened the interface again and saw lot of similar messages.

[ You killed a level 3 blue wolf, you gained 10 experience points. ]

[ You killed a level 4 blue wolf, you gained 20 experience points. ]

[ You killed a level 3 blue wolf, you gained 10 experience points. ]

...

Gabin preferred to change of interface for now and focus more on his inventory, he would look later on where he was with his level, he was curious to see what rewards he would get for leveling up.

He was using the time to go to the Fire mountain to take care of his talisman papers which were in his inventory, when he focused on them a new message appeared.

[ Do you want to sort and name your talisman papers Yes / No ]

Gabin thought 'Yes' and  a list of his talisman papers appeared, the System had sorted them according to the symbol that appeared on them which suited Gabin perfectly.

He still chose to rename them in case he would have to give some of them to Matthias or Elios and maybe they had no idea of what these symbols stood for, after all they were both from a different universe than him.

A new message popped up when he finished renaming them.

[ You have just finished naming the talisman papers, after validation they will be added to your inventory, validate Yes / No ]

Gabin validated and his inventory interface popped up which made him smile widened.

It was much better that way, but this video game was just too easy to play.

Whoever had created this dimension should have thought of banning the use of weapons and items that came from outside the game, it was a very bad calculation on his part that was going to cost him dearly.
