What does it take to become a good leader?

When I see their eyes, all I can think about is the death that's about to come.

Maybe, I'm the one who's mad.

For a moment I thought he's kidding people can't fly, right? But then he's unusually calm and collected given the circumstances that were in!

The infestation has already spread so much on this floor that the area that we're standing right now is the only place left untouched. The lights on the ceiling still flickering.. we're still safe.

I glance up at him and I swallowed hard, studying his face "Fly?- what do you mean?" What a dumb question!..but I just can't help it, I mean people just don't walk around, and suddenly they're flying and shit. right?

He chuckled and gave a crooked smile when he heard my question, he then darts his eyes at me and said "yeah gal, flying but not quite literally, but, ooh well don't worry, I won't let you die" he said it dismissingly, making me doubt if he means it or not.

And If I'm going to die, I think it would be a blessing the whispers will stop and finally, I can be at peace, the days before I was admitted in this madhouse was like a dream, a dream that I destroyed, I miss my region but there's nothing left there, the voices of the dead have always called me and followed me wherever I go after that, and the experiments in this madhouse have only made it worse, I was hopeful that they will accidentally make a mistake and kill me off in one their experiments and even now I always think about ending my life but then I remembered Sam's face in my dream as she was reaching out for me.

"I'm worried about my friend, I have this dream about her" I blurted out quietly while staring at my feet.

"Ohh, wow! you swing that way?" he said in his amused voice. He glance over at me with a grin on his face.

I rolled my eyes and sighed, I eyed him ridiculously, this guy is really annoying. "No, I dreamt about her with her eyes carved out" I replied.

He looked at me and his expression changed, "that usually happens to kiirios who are infected, when did you dream of this?" he asked.

I was surprised he believed in me right away and I felt myself getting more and more alarmed, "Just tonight, I woke up from the dream and heard that there was an infestation and that she joined up with the Task Force, I came here directly, I'm worried about her." I answered.

He paused and considered what I just said, and quietly mumbled, "I've never met someone who could dream into future deaths."

"Well, if that's the case, we better hurry in finding you're friend then" he finally said.

He then removed one of his earrings while closing the gap between me and his body, he made me sit on the space in the window and his face leaning forward, making sure that our eyes are leveled, I almost stopped breathing because his face is so close to mine.

"What's your name gal?" he asked "If I don't know your name, I don't know what to call you."I blinked in surprise as I caught a sharp scent of mint and blood, I can't tell by his expression if he's amused or not, well given the fact that his face is covered in blood and he said we're going to fly, I personally think he's crazy and that's coming from me who grow up in this madhouse, the vibe of this person changes like every minute, I can't figure him out.

"Yurei, my name's Yurei" I finally answered. His red eyes then take a full focus on me.., gently tucking my hair behind my ears, my heart.. suddenly beating quickly which was weird...I trembled as his hands brushed through my ear and touched my left earlobe with his fingers, I flinched from the warmth of his touch.

"Relax Rei, this is gonna sting a little bit," he said gently in a low voice almost like a whisper. His two hands are on my left earlobe now trying to put something, ..which I don't know.... I can't seem to focus because I can hear and feel the warmth of his breath through my ear and the smell of mint mixed with blood is amazingly intoxicating.

After that, I felt a sharp pain in my left earlobe, but it's not something to cry about, the intensity of being electrocuted is. After growing up here, the pain I guess is something that is constant. I touched my left earlobe and felt the cold metal, shaped like a crescent circle.

"An earing?" I asked glancing at him. As he stepped back.

"Yeah, you'll need it, hold this" he handed me a blue crystal while removing his gloves. "Our rendezvous point is on the first floor so we'll go there it's the closest I guess, If they didn't set up a point of contact there then we probably gonna be swept into other regions point of contact," he reached for my hands and he said, "So- you better not let go of my hand, okay?" he said teasingly.

I glared at him, trying to free my hand which he clasped more strongly now, what's his problem?

"Hey, don't let go Rei, or else you're gonna be flying towards into unknown regions, you won't be able to locate your friend if that's gonna happen, I won't eat you so relax," he gave me that crooked smile and he moved closer to me and snaked his free hand into my waist pulling me closer to him.

I gasp, suddenly feeling uncomfortable and uneasy, since my breast are now pressed against his chest, "I mean, is the hugging really necessary?"I awkwardly asked.

He just shrugged and replied, "Too late if you're feeling awkward Rei, already feel you up earlier when I carried you" I flushed at his response and immediately sighed in resignation, this guy is annoying and a creep... "creep" I silently whispered.

I stopped protesting after what he said, being lost in an unknown region is not really gonna help me in finding out if Sam is safe "are we seriously going to fly?" I suddenly asked.

"Well, not really flying per se, you'll soon find out so there's no point in explaining really, now hold on to me," he replied and looked down on me and winked as he placed my free hand into his shoulder.

He muttered something I didn't understand, was that a chant or something? I wasn't able to ask because his pair of red eyes suddenly glowed. As the blue crystal flared.

I instinctively closed my eyes waiting for something to happen, then suddenly I felt my body being pulled into a magnet which is so eerie, I never felt anything like it, it's like being pulled into something but you can't feel the weight of your body, I felt nauseous like something is in my stomach, I felt cold and at the same time warm, I tried opening my eyes and strobes of light is the only thing on my field of vision, I tried looking up to him, but I can't make out his my vision all white.
