Hell, as we all know it, is the underworld, a deep pit where the dead are gathered. Some of us who attend Sunday school knows it to be a dungeon burning with fire and brimstone. It was at first created for the devil and his archangels as a punishment for betraying God. Later on, the latter decided to send the souls of humans who loved the devil and lived like him to join him in hell. So the souls of the unredeemed dead and the spirits of the damned souls lived there under the lordship of their king, the devil. Simply put, hell is a place where God is not.
During my first year in college, I met a fourth level demon. She was my dorm mate. You might be wondering why most of the demons I've met were females but truth be told I have actually met my fair portion of males. Demons in human form were extremely beautiful, too unreal to believe. They were like paintings, anyone would easily fall in love with them and this particular demon had the power to hypnotize an average human.
I first met her during the registration and I had no idea that we'd live in the same dorm not to talk of sharing a room?
"Hi Lisa,
How do you know my name? I asked sincerely surprised
Well it doesn't matter, I'm Rachael and I would like to be friends with you.
Sure. I answered in my confused state
She then smiled and left. This girl is definitely a demon, that arrogance and beauty screams demon. Long story short, we became roommates and then best friends. We're still inseparable to this day. She always told me about all the lavish parties they held as level four demons, they were the ones with all the money in the country.
Can I attend the party with you? I asked pleadingly
Well, humans sometimes come along but they are not allowed into the main banquet but you are one special human and they would all want to meet you. So yes, you can come along".
"I love you babe".
"I love you more". She responded with a smile
I went to the party that weekend with Rachael and I was a really fun party. I got to meet really fun, rich demons and made some really good connections but I noticed someone sitting in the shadows. It was as if no one could see him, I didn't see his face but his back looked so sad. I wanted to ask Rachael about him but she was so busy having fun and I didn't want to bother her.
I approached him hoping to see his face but he disappeared from my sight before I could get to him. And he never returned till the party ended. I was so bothered by him that I couldn't help but ask Rachael about him on our way home.
Oh, that guy? He my older brother, the Lord of Darkness and the Duke of Hell.
Woah! Your brother is the devil? I just saw the devil?
He doesn't really like people calling him that. Just Lucifer, would cut it.
Okay but Lucifer is really living amongst us, this is unbelievable. Can I meet him sometime?
I'm not sure he would want to, he is very cold and could be really mean. I am his sister, we live together or let's say we lived together until I left home for college but he barely says anything to me.
What was I expecting? He was the devil for heavens sake. I understand his cold aura but why does he seem so sad. How could someone's back look so sad? I tried to shake off my mind but it still popped up in my head every now and then.
"Arrrgh! I won't be able to endure this. Can I meet your brother once?
"You're still struggling with that? I already told you No".
"Pretty please". I pleaded with irresistible cute eyes
"Lisa, I hope this inquisitive side of you won't get you into something you'd regret. Okay I'll see what I can do. You know I can't refuse you when you give me that look"
"You're the best, muah". I said while blowing her kisses
She was right, I was already neck deep into the sea of danger but I loved the thrill that came with it. I don't I would regret any of this.
