Cody:Trust and Doubt

Here is the corrected version:

"You idiot, can't you see you're opening your injuries deeper," said Troy.

"You worry too much," said Cody with a smile, while his pain from the injuries grows larger with each step he takes. "Where do we find ourselves?"

"We're in Laylala's home," said Troy.

Cody slowly took a chair close to Troy and slowly sat down, and said, "So does that mean she's back from sending the weapons?"

"Yes, if she wasn't here, then why would we be in here?" said Troy, still looking at the map.

"Well, it's something I think you would do."

"What a beautiful way of seeing me."

"Ok, maybe I was wrong about you," said Cody and thought, "I feel really bad right now. I thought I knew him, but it looks like I know nothing about him. Well, why did I think I knew him because he trained me for just days? Who is Troy?"

Cody looked at the map Troy was looking at. It was a map of a city. The city was circular, and it had 3 circular areas.

"This is Egland," said Cody.

"Why did you come here?" asked Troy.

"Where is that coming from?" thought Cody and said, "Come on, Troy, you know why."

"Why?"

Cody looked at him for a second and said, "Are you mad at me?"

"Why?"

"Because I wanted to save..."

"Then why haven't you asked me if I got her?"

Cody kept quiet for a minute and then said, "I just...I was going to..."

"Because if you were so worried about her that you had to go from a far away place and come here to save her, but here you are not asking me if she is ok."

Cody kept quiet.

"Cody, why did you come here?" said Troy, looking at him with blank eyes.

"I wanted to save her," said Cody. "Why can't you believe me?"

"You make no sense. You keep telling me that you want to save her, but you don't care about her. Your mouth keeps saying those words, but your mind doesn't care. I always saw you don't care, but I just thought you just had a warrior's mind, meaning you didn't care that you cared about her as long as she was in danger," said Troy and kept quiet.

The two of them kept quiet as the fire burned, lighting the room and their faces.

"I was afraid," said Cody silently.

"Afraid of what?" asked Troy.

"Afraid of the idea that I would fail."

"Fail from what? Your training?"

"Being a warrior, I didn't want to fail at this training. Don't you know how many times I have lost fights?"

"That's because you haven't trained that long."

"You don't know how long I have tried," said Cody.

"So you were running away?"

"No, I wanted to prove myself, to show myself that I can be strong enough to be a warrior."

"So are you?"

"...I don't know."

"You have made all this mess to see that at least now you have to know."

"No...I am...weak."

"So tell me what you are going to do about that because I don't want to kill a runaway before the war even starts."

"I am going back to Indawo embi."

"I will, good of you. Lucky we are reading the same book."

"What do you mean?"

"We have to get you out of here. You being here is giving us more problems."

"Is it because they know that I'm with the military?"

"Yes, I forgot that face. What was I thinking?"

"That was the only way he could let his guard down."

"He could think you just stole the uniform like you said I did," said Laylala, coming from the other door wearing an old dress.

She walked to the other side of the table and sat next to Troy. She looked at the map for a second and then looked at Cody.

"Why are you awake? Aren't you in pain?" asked Laylala.

"No, I am ok," said Cody, lying.

"Ok," said Laylala and quietly said, "Your friend is asleep."

"Who, Abel?"

"No, you..." said Laylala.

"Come on, let's focus on making a plan," said Troy, still looking at the map.

"You are right, so tell me what you have because you have been looking at the map for a long time," said Laylala.

"What I have now is the street that we have is the street we take to escape," said Troy and first pointed at where they entered Egland and said, "Because this is the exit popular for criminals running away from the law because it is very busy, and it leads to the endless desert. We could have used it because it being very busy we would blend in with the crowd, and Cody, you can reach quickly to Indawo embi, but there are a lot of greenbeans because of the criminals," and then pointed at two exits at two opposite sides of the city and said, "These two exits are where the rich bepoops live, meaning it is also heavily guarded, but it would be easy because we are close to this area," pointing to the right side.

"Those are the only three exits we can try, but where we are right now is not heavily guarded by greenbeans but by warriors, meaning it would be easy to escape with this exit," said Laylala.

"Yes, on a different section it would, but because where we had that fight with the Kingsmen is really close from here means the Kingsmen are heavily guarding the exits."

"Does this mean we are locked in this city?"

Everyone kept quiet, not answering Cody's question. Cody looked at the map and saw an exit at the back of the city.

"Hey, look, there is an exit here!" shouted Cody with joy. "There is no way there are a lot of Kingsmen to close two exits."

"Yes, but are you forgetting that we couldn't fight even one Kingsman, meaning they can just put one Kingsman and we wouldn't be able to fight them," said Laylala.

"And that exit leads to a different city, so when are you going to reach Indawo embi?" said Troy, laid back in his chair and looked really worried and said, "We must not focus on the exit with Kingsmen."

"You're right, because the greenbeans are not professionally trained, it means they would be easy to manage than the Kingsman," said Laylala.

"Yeah, if only we could call them all to one place that is not an exit," said Cody.

Everyone kept quiet, thinking to themselves.

"Wait, Cody, you're kind of right," said Laylala.

"What do you mean?" asked Cody.

"I mean we can do that because we have the bait to the thing they are looking for," said Laylala.

"Where?" thought Cody, and after some time, he remembered the time on the bridge. "Ooooh, that killer is looking for me."

"So many things have happened that I forgot that," thought Cody with a smile and said, "This is the greatest thing that could happen to me."

"A killer hunting you down is the greatest thing to happen to you...wait, can you please tell me what is going on?" asked Troy, confused.

Cody told him everything that happened on the bridge. Troy listened and said nothing for two minutes.

"Alright, this is kind of a good thing," said Troy. "So how are we going to use this opportunity?"

"We have to come up with a foolproof plan, so I suggest that we stay here for the time being to make sure this plan works," said Laylala.

"What!" said Cody.

"Yes, you are right, and we will wait for things to cool down for a moment," said Troy.

"Ok, I kind of see it," said Cody and thought, "We are in an area full of Kingsmen; maybe by the time we attack, they will be gone from this area and looking in a different area."

"Ok, I think 2 days would be best," said Troy.

"Alright, that's the plan," said Cody.

Suddenly sounds of footsteps came from the other room that Laylala came from, and they sounded like the person was running.

"What's that?" said Cody.

Abel came out of the door, running towards Cody and stopped and bent down at Cody.

"Sorry, I am the reason why the hideout was burned!" said Abel.

"What!" said Cody and looked at Troy, who sincerely agreed, which made him burst out in rage. "You useless piece of shit. You're the reason the Kingsmen found us...I should have killed you."

All the pain Cody felt in his body turned into rage. Cody pulled and forced his leg to stand up from the chair to kill Abel.

"Cody, relax," said Troy, cutting to the violence shut in Cody's head with those words. "Now we all need to relax, we'll finish things in the morning."

"But we don't have time to sleep. We need to make a plan," said Cody.

"Troy is right. We can't think well while our brains sleep," said Laylala.

Cody sat there and thought for a minute, suddenly hit the table, and said, "I'll deal with you later," looking at Abel.

"I am going back to sleep," said Cody as he slowly stood up from the chair.

"Cody, wait, I'll help," said Laylala and stood up from the chair and went to Cody. She took his arm and placed it on her shoulder. "We need to deal with your injuries."

"Yeah."

"And also you," said Laylala, turning her head to Troy, who stood up from his chair with no problem.

"I am fine," said Troy.

"Don't lie to me," said Laylala and took Cody to bed.
