Solis and Noir watched with great amusement as Tygr used all the knowledge he had acquired from the special books Butler Hans had curated and collected for Noir, and practised them on Fenice, attempting to coax and cajole her into lifting the curse from Solis.

Fenice, however, was a tough cookie to crack. After all, as they say, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

And eons of resentment wasn't so easy to forgive and forget. It was not even a question of who was in the wrong first any more. Both Fenice and Tygr had hurt each other.
