The Third Reason

Solis laughed happily and finished putting away the dishes. Then he came over to Noir and sat down next to him.

"So – you got jealous of a piece of paper because I kissed it, is it?" he asked mischievously, caressing Noir's face with gentle fingers.

Noir pouted. "I'm not saying it again," he said, looking away, but the red blush on the tips of his ears and the apple of his cheeks gave him away.

Solis felt a warm current flow through him, as if it was caressing his heart in the most comfortable way possible.

"You are getting more and more adorable by the minute," Solis said to Noir, slipping a finger under Noir's chin and tilting his head upwards.

Noir looked up at Solis with his liquid chocolate brown eyes gleaming. Solis's eyes were a soft silver, sparkling with affection and pride and happiness.
