He began folding his sleeves up his arms showing off how muscular and the vascularity. Anyone could tell he was jacked. His chest muscles pushed against the white collar shirt. The sleeves looked as if they could explode any moment. I bit my lip. I had to admit if I wasn't in this situation, he would definitely be sexy. Imagine just a handsome doctor. " Please, help me doctor, its hurts."
" Where?" He questioned as he puts his stethoscope on my beating chest.
Or mystery CEO. " Mister CEO, I was wondering if I can have a raise?"
He would give a sly smile, " And what are you willing to do for it?"
Wait, how about a strict high school teacher! " Sir, can you help me with this homework assignment, I don't understand."
" Come after class." He would say.
OMG!!! My heart and head exploded. Shifted out of my wild imagination as I heard a thud. I squinted attempting to see with the minimum light what the object was.
Then he pulled out a revolver, Seriously? Resorting to such a plain game. I knew exactly what he was doing. The game that made anyone shit their pants. That only "real gangsters" played.
" Lets play a game." He began looking at the gun.
A game. More like life or death. The bullets clanked against the table echoing. Emptying the gun from all its bullets except for one.
" Russian Roulette." I thought as he spoke the same words.
He smiled wickedly, " I am sure you are familiar with it." He began closing the chamber and setting it in place. " Ladies, first." He added sliding the gun across the wooden table landing right in front of me.Was he serious? He was trying to scare me! Ha! As I hadn't had a gun held against my head! As if I hadn't killed people with my own bare hands. As if I had never shot a gun before in my life. Well he was so wrong. The gun was my partner. My trusted weapon. I would not shudder at the sound of a gun going off.
" Hurry up, I don't have all day." Colton complained sitting back on his chair.
I internally smiled. If he wanted to play, then play with fire he would. I raised my hands which were tied up with rope. " How am I suppose to shoot myself, with no hands?" I asked jokingly as he rolled his eyes directing Thomas to remove them. Eying my every movement to see if I would do something suspicious. Honestly, I could just kill him. But I only had one bullet and no other weapons, though I could fight them off just like the good old days, I had no energy to do such a thing.
Finally I was free of those shackles. The rope had already left burn marks against my fair skin, nothing usual since have been in certain similar situation beforehand.
I took the gun. The sleek cold metal felt rich. Definitely one of a kind. Examining the gun as it had engraved the initials C.I. It was his personal gun. Old fashion type of guy. How sweet! Not! I quickly brought the revolver to the side of my head. I would be lying if I said I wasn't scared but it was a fifty-fifty chance.So.....
Fuck it.
I placed my hand on the trigger as I made sure to remain emotionless as my finger pulled the trigger, and nothing. Oh course not. His squinted his eyes as I slide the gun back at him. " Your turn." I tilted my head purposefully.
He looked at the gun and back at me. " Brave facade. But don't you think you should take this more seriously." He questioned harshly.
I shrugged my shoulders as I leaned back into the chair, " If I'm going to die, then I'm going to die. That's it. No facade. Just accept destiny as it should be." I cocky grinned. " But now it's your turn."
" Even on the verge of death, you're still not scared. You know you still can take my offer?" He mused as if to prevent wasting time.
I bit my lips. " Nah, I rather die." I affirmed as he made a tch sound. Grabbing the gun, lifting it towards its head and pulling the trigger which resulted in nothing. His lips formed into a line as he slided the gun back to me.
" Go." He rushed as if he had some place more important to be.
The odds had decreased, no longer a fifty- fifty chance. If I was right the bullet wouldn't pull on me in this round, nor him. However, in the next one of us could be dead. My veins pumped. Like if I were on ecstasy. The thrill, I hadn't experience in a while was back and full force. I wasn't a sadistic or masochist. But the excitement of danger, the possibility of dying was exciting.
Once again I took the revolver, pressed my finger against the trigger, and nothing.
Just like I had thought, I'm still alive.
I smiled slide the gun back to him as his nose flared looking at me with those eyes. He wanted to kill me but he couldn't. If he had it his way he would have snapped my neck like a lion haunting down a gazelle, but the gazelle could just as well trick the lion to fall into her trap, and run free.
He gritted his teeth, repeating, " I'm asking you one more time. Reconsider my offer, and we'll stop with the games."
" My answer is and will always be no Mr. Colton Ivar." I let out his identity.
He didn't even flinch instead he took the gun and pressed the trigger speaking, " So you know who I am?"
Nothing happened.
" Of course. Who doesn't your a mobster. Everyone shivers at your name."
" Then why don't you." He questioned sliding the gun over.
I shook my head side to side cracking the bones. Grabbing the gun, " Maybe I'm bluffing like you say." I paused looked at Thomas who sweat dropped, and back at him. " Maybe I'm not, but that's something you'll never know." I closed my eyes. Preparing for whatever. I ended finally setting off.
Clank
I smirked, I knew that sound.
I'm staying alive. Thank you Bee Gee brothers.
I fluttering my eyes opened twirling the gun on my fingers. I looked at Thomas who exhaled nosiely as if he actually cared for me dying. Or getting rid of my body, seemed more probable.
I know the bullet was never going to kill me. I told you the chances. I glide the gun across table once more, waiting for Colton to pick it up. However he didn't. He stared at it and back at me. Not even daring to pick it up. With good reason if he would the Dragon Clan would disintergrate, moreover his son wouldn't have a father anymore.
" EVERYONE, GET OUT!" He yelled with the might of a dragon. Without a second thought everyone scattered away like bugs.
There was no telling what was happening next.
Though I'll tell you one thing: It wasn't what I was expecting.
Because I'm staying ALIVEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
