It was then… The beginning of everything…
{Flashback to 94.9 thousand years ago. Exactly 4100 years before Yami's Capture}
"Yami, come; won't you".
"Shut-it, I've been here for 4 days, and I've not slept a wink but you're telling me to watch a boring eclipse" I replied.
"Boo!!, you're no fun and it's not boring, this is the stellar Eclipse. Where the twin stars are both blocked by planets. It's so rare of an occasion to have this symmetry and you'd rather Sleep" she pouted.
"…"
"Come out of the room and let's go to the roof right now dummy or I'll drag you myself".
"Alright, Alright. Once it finishes, leave me alone so I can get a little shut eye." I said, exhausted by the constant nagging.
This girl speaking to me is Ryo Mai, my annoying, noisy, and overall energetic friend. With her orange, curly hair, and her large orange eyes, she was someone I relied on very much during the years. After being found in the middle of nowhere, she, along with my grandfather treated me like their own flesh and blood. They cared for me and taught me the ways of fighting and martial arts along with aiding me in education. She was not short in any means and had the body of an hourglass which made her popular with everyone. She was the same age as me and we'd practically do everything together.
Mai was the daughter of my foster Aunt, Ryo Ayano, who was the eldest daughter of the family head, my grandfather. Since a thousand years ago, she's took on the role as the head of the family after Grandfather stepped down to venture into the Lawless domain. She had brunette hair that looked glossy and no wrinkles whatsoever. One could guess where Mai got her beauty from after one look at Aunt.
she too treated me like family and took the task of keeping me company whenever grandfather left for his long training all those years ago. Though not related, the love and warmth I felt from her made me feel like I've had a mother all along.
Speaking about my grandfather. My grandfather Ryo, named after the clan, was a head strong person. He was the cause of many wars in the cosmos and was revered as an Equal to the previous 2 Chronos Rulers in status. Nicknamed "Undying Monarch Ryo", one appearance or mention of his name would cause fear and throughout the far reaches of space. This 6ft'6 behemoth dressed in a yukata whenever he's on the home planet but would wear kimono when journeying out. Though having grandsons aged 25 and above, he's appearance would suggest that he's no older than 30. With a black beard, long black hair, that showed no signs of aging, and perfectly aligned jaw and cheek bones. Only thing showing his warrior life was a single scar that went across his left eye.

I stepped forward thinking of how pointless this all was but in truth, I was also fascinated. See, I love everything to do with the unnatural. I love all things to do with space too however I couldn't show it to this enthusiastic girl, or I'll never hear the end of it.
My dream then was to do nothing but comprehend the mysteries in the worlds to further understand the laws of our worlds. KI is a substance of natural energy that encompasses the Universe. It could be found everywhere and can be gathered from anything. As it's made up of everything, comprehending it fully can never be done. There will always be more types of Ki. As such, Ancestors of Clans within the Universe, who have grasped a certain type of KI, built their clans on the teaching of that one type of KI. For example, our Ryo clan has understanding Star KI.
I've got the ability to understand dark KI and the nature of dark KI better than my understanding of anything else. At that time, it was to my knowledge, the greatest form of KI.
We reached up to the roof, anticipating an extraordinary sight and nevertheless, we received better than we'd hoped for. A sudden darkness overtook our home planet. What were once the luminating balls of fire, were obscured by the guarding planets that guard our Clan's Royal World. It looked as if two large eyes were clogged from staring at us once again. No, more accurately, it looked like two beacons of hope for our home planet were prohibited from shining its endless love and compassion upon us.
"Amazing" I whispered under my breath.
"I know right" she responded.
"Ugg" I choked, not expecting for her to hear me.
"It's your 25 birthday is 100 years from today."
"Yeah. I was found on 1 January, 399'975'800".
"… I heard someone say you were found in a small dark bubble in the middle of space when they found you. What's even scarier is that that bubble was made from unknown KI attribute. Have you ever fel-"
"Yours is 31 of June right Mai?" I tried to change the subject; I never really knew where I was born, nor did I care. It made me feel uneasy whenever I was talked about like that.
Whether I was found or not, I'm a Ryo; at least, that's what Grandpa drilled into me with his love and brutal training.
"Mhm... Sorry I shouldn't talk ask you that… It was rude of me."
"It's fine."
Few moments went by in silence before Mai broke it once again.
"It's amazing to think that these big planets are actually just guards for us, makes you think of how powerful our home world is right?"
"Well of course. Our planet is different from the normal planets. It's a Royal world. It's the central position of the Ryo Royal Domain so it should better than any of the other planets." I boasted.
"Yeah, I know. Royal world is better and lower world is the best!"
"You dummy, you know I have to always correct anyone that jokes like this!"
"Here we go again…"
"Fine if you hate it so much, tell me what ranking system we use to describe the worlds…"
"Yeah of course I can say it, Lower World is…"
