"You look bothered. What's up?" Stephanie query span of making face.

"What?" stared at Stephanie wide-opened eyes.

She scoffed. "Oh, come on, that's unusual of you being like that. It seems that you're skirmish with yourself," she elucidate.

"Nothing." Samantha smile almost sarcastically."I was just wondering what would happen later when I went home to my parents' house," she said.

"I was expecting that you are daydreaming but well I guess, I'm wrong."

Samantha groaned in disbelief.

"Seriously, Stephanie?"

"But, it'll be alright. You should not be worried. Duh!"

Samantha sat on the vacant seat still feeling subdued.

"You know, I'm well-aware that nobody likes me since I am a "gossip girl" in this entire department. And I know you don't like me too. Not even every single one here. I apologize, that I talked to much," Stephanie sincerely uttered.

Samantha feeling dumbfounded guilt runs through her body. She admit someone like Stephanie is way out of league so she avoiding her everyday or even she got a chance. Well, sometimes she get presumptuous towards her.

She bit her lower lip.

"I... I am so sorry, Steph." Samantha grasped Stephanie's hand and smile apologetically.

"It's okay, doing gossips isn't a liking though," Stephanie smiled too.

Maybe Stephanie was right no need to worry anything, she should stopped herself worrying what would happen when she get home.

Just when Samantha reached her desk that's exactly her phone rang. She grabbed her phone and she check out the caller's name she frowned.

She answered the call.

"Who is this?" Samantha asked curiously.

The caller isn't register on her contact list.

"This is Danielle. I asked your number from my brother."

"What do you want?"

"Nothing. Just wanna talk to you concerning with you and my brother." She mock.

"I'm busy. You could've asked Matthew about it. Bye!" She ended the call.

After half an hour of driving Samantha finally reached the apartment. Feeling a little nervous thinking they might be waiting for her to get home, or she'll just ignored them like they weren't there and go straight to her room. That would be a great idea.

Or its just an idea, she froze on the center of balcony. She didn't know what to react.

There she was Danielle Montgomery sitting on the swing chair; crossed arms it seems that she was waiting for her.

And there was Matthew... is he squatting with a books on his head and both arms? Samantha wanted to laugh but it isn't the right time to make fun of him.

"I'm actually waiting for you after I called you," Danielle stated.

"I told you, I was busy," she answered nervously.

"I can say you're nervous," Danielle smirk. "Emily told me that

Matthew is cheating when he just proposed on her 3 days ago." She added.

Samantha looked shocked didn't know what to react. Speechless. Remembering the phone call she answered earlier this morning.

She gasped, realization hit her.

"I... I didn't know that was Matthew's fiance!" Samantha answered defensively.

"Of course, you don't know."

Samantha can feel her blood boiling. The way Danielle looks at her full of disgust its like telling her that she's a bitch that love to play around with someone younger than her.

"Hermana, that'd total misunderstanding. I've already talked with her and Emily agrees to meet Samantha maybe tomorrow," Matthew interrupted.

Seems like his sister is about to be grilled alive, Matthew could tell how Samantha is abstain herself.

This is the first he witnessed Danielle being all rude to his friends, usually, Danielle will nod or ignored them. An 'O' formed to Matthew's mouth a playful idea came up on him.

Danielle glared back to Matthew.

"Did I permit you to speak, young man?" Danielle's tone became sharp.

Matthew shook his head.

"Matthew's right. It was a misunderstanding. You don't have to react like that, I will personally apologize to Emily. So, stop judging me like you know me!" Samantha snapped.

"It's hard for me to believe when I caught you only wearing a bathrobe that almost fell on you shoulder." Danielle stated.

"Probably because I was alone and it was unexpected for you to be here since I did not know this is "your apartment"."

"Before you came decided to live here, aren't you curious who was the real owner of this apartment? You just hop on and lived here without knowing it." Danielle said irritated.

"Well, I'm sorry! I didn't know where to go! My cousin Rachel dragged me here and let me stay here." She breathed heavily.

"I did not know that my apartment became a homeless shelter." Again Danielle slag off.

Samantha breathed deeply refraining herself to slap Danielle's face. Or can she still hold back when obviously Danielle is staring at her like she's some kind of biatch lying and saving her self? She's insulted. Not to mentioned it was her mistake to answer someone's phone call, she should not have done that.

"I did not catch your name, sweetie. What's your name again?"

Samantha lifted her upper lip. Knowing that she's been here for almost two years Danielle doesn't even know what's her name?

"Seriously? You knew I was here when you got here, you wouldn't knocked if you don't know." It's now her turn to be a little rude.

"Now, now, you little tigress," Danielle stood up from the swing chair and walk closer to her. "I wouldn't ask if I knew it all along."

"Well...." Samantha sigh.

"Aren't you a little bit unfair? I gave you my name when you asked me earlier but you did not even bother mentioning your name before you left me."

"Fine. I'm Samantha Love and been here for two years now," she answered.

"Oh, what a lovely name, Love. My ex's name was Lovely."

"Well, good for her. And I guess she's beautiful. But I hope she's not like you, a jerk."

"You're more beautiful than them."

"Miss Montgomery---"

"Please, call me 'Dani'."

Samantha ignored Danielle and continued to walk inside the house.

"Oh, you two done with you quarrel?" Matthew asked with amusement in his face.

He was hold a spatula maybe he got up when his sister's attention was on Samantha. He's smirking playful.

"The dinner is served. I won't take 'no' for an answer, Sammy. Just eat before you hit the road. Come on." Matthew pulled

Samantha into the kitchen enough to cut her from protesting.

"Dig in, sis! I cooked your favourite!"

Danielle just nod on her brother, Matthew knew it Danielle never smile after his father married Danielle's mother but never in his life Danielle has neglected him as a brother. That's what

Matthew only wanted for Danielle at his back whenever he needed someone to lean on.

Samantha did not protest instead she begun to eat.
