The Hard Truth: Love

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

OHHH SHIT!

We're talkin bout Love today!

So what is love?

Can it be described?

Can it be held?

Can you throw it against a window?

Well love is complicated. Very much so, that it can be considered one of the most dangerous emotions out there, next to rage.

Now unlike rage, love cannot can be calmed down or reasoned with. It burns with a passion, unlike that of rage, and once it truly takes hold of you, it has you.

Now what does "Love" mean?

Love: noun

an intense feeling of deep affection.

But is that all it is?

Is that really it to one of the most complex emotions?

Haha, you thought….

Well the answer to that question is, nope!

What causes love?

Well, we find someone we find as "attractive" and appropriate for us, but also someone who shows attraction to us as well. This creates an opportunity for self-expansion.

What a load of shit right?

"Oooo your hot"

"Oooo your hot too"

"Im a better person!"

Haha…No!

"Love" as you call it, can be explained rather easily through alittle something I call, SCIENCE!

The feelings of love can be stimulated by 3 chemicals in your brain being released.

-Noradrenaline

-Dopamine

-Phenylethylamine

These are real, google them if you don't believe me.

The first one stimulates your adrenaline causing sweaty hands and that heart-racing feeling.

The second one releases the "feel-good" chemicals inside your brain.

And lastly, Phenylethylamine(fuck, what a word) is the chemical that cause the "butterfly's in the stomach."

With those 3 things working together, BOOM!

"Your in Love"

On the other hand, we also have pets, and family.

Now loving your family is wayyy different than if you were loving a boyfriend or girlfriend.

You mostly love them because well…you just do. They are your family. Its automatic love. It's weird and makes no sense, but family is family.

With pets, it's more like loving a possession. It's a bit cruel to put it that way, but that's The Hard Truth. As people, we have free will, where as an animal is an animal. Pet is pet. Humans OWN pets.

Think about it.

Now let's talk about what happens after what you love, leaves.

It's gonna happen. I'm sorry to say.

You can love an object. But it can get lost, broken, or maybe you just have to let it go.

You can love a pet, but as we all know, humans live longer than pets.

You can love another person. But they can always feel those chemicals with someone else.

It's a Hard Truth to learn.

As children, our parents show us our first relationship. We see them and think that we can do it to. We find fake little girlfriends and get married and it's all cute and good fun, yet when you get older…the reality of it is, Love is a double edge sword.

Beautiful and sweet. It cradles you like a baby. Comfortable and drowsy, it can make you blind to what's around you. Before you know it, it stabs you.

I'm not saying that everyone you come across that you fall for is gonna stab you in the back. Everybody is different. Two people could have a better connection than they did when they were with other people. The opposite could also be said.
