The Hard Truth: Sexism

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Hello Everyone!

Great day to open the youth of today's eyes!

So, Sexism

Now I am not here to spout my views about so and so. I'm here to inform. You. The Readers.

Sexism: noun

prejudice, stereotyping, or discrimination, typically against women, on the basis of sex.

Now looking at that, I'm sure you can think of something that's sexist to somebody.

But now i'm here to tell you The Truth About Sexism.

Now everyone reading this today, stay with me here. I know this is a fragile topic, but the Truth isn't always fragile.

Lets imagine a scenario,

Imagine an office building that is hiring for a full position. This office is the one building that supplies car parts overseas. Now running the interview to find the best candidate, is a man. This man has been working in that building for 10 years. He knows the in's and out's and he's very good at his job.

Coming through the door, freshly out of college, is a women. Now she is stunning. Graduating top of her class, she is one smart cookie as well.

Now upon seeing this women, the man chuckles to himself.

How can this women know more about car parts then a man. Men sell cars and women love men who have nice cars. That was what this man thought.

Coming over to this man, the women shakes his hand and gives a polite greeting.

Now the man begins to talk before the women has a chance to speak. He tells her,

"I'm sorry miss, but I'm looking for someone who doesn't mind getting their hands dirty, and from what I can see, you have some very pretty hands. How about you work for me as my assistant?"

Now little does this man know, this women had graduated top of her class, majoring in automotive repair(not sure if that's real but just go with me on this)

Another man walks into the room, thinking he was late for his own interview.

Now standing up, the boss shakes this mans hand and greets HIM warmly.

This man has experience, but the obvious better choice would've been the women.

The boss was sexist. He chose the man because he's a man. He thought the women couldn't do what a man could do better.

And personally(and I hope that most of not all of you, can agree with me) that's bullshit.

Now let me be clear. Women cannot do everything a man can.

It's The Hard Truth

But that can be also said for men. Men CANNOT do everything a women can.

All these pointless arguments, trying to decide if a women can do this or a man can do that…

Want some advice? Don't be such a douche.

Give everyone the same opportunity. If they can't cut it then they can't cut it. Simple as that.

Why are we all assuming that this gender can do this and that gender can't do that.

At least have the human decency to give them a trial run. I mean wouldn't that make things better?

Give everybody trial runs. Make sure they are good at their job or at least have potential into becoming great at it.

The boss, in the story, if he would have given them both a trail run, he could have seen the girl bust that other guys ass.

Now I am aware that most jobs can get hundreds of applications, and you may not get the job, but that is no excuse to take it to court because you think they are hating on you because of what is or isn't between your legs.

Taking a look at Sexism, there are 3 categories,

-Hostile Sexism

Where someone is openly hostile to a group based on sex or gender.

-Benevolent Sexism

Where a man views a women or vice versa, as a innocent, beautiful, fragile thing that must be protected (this is the most common)

-Ambivalent Sexism

Is a mix of hostile and benevolent sexism. And example would be: a man hiring a beautiful housekeeper, then firing her if she won't sleep with him.

Now some issues that women are speaking out against include, unfair opportunities and pay differences between sexes.

Now the thing people need to understand is, sometimes, someone else is more important so they get paid more.

A recent Meme online stated that a women lost her shit because she found out how much money her male co-worker made, opposed to her.

The man was Chris Pratt, and it was Jurassic World. Commenting below this women's rant, someone said,

"Or hear me out…he got paid more because he was the star?"

Now stuff like that has gotta stop. I mean, why you gotta be so petty. You were in a movie, you got a few grand, so shut ya side character ass up.

But I'm getting off track.

Here is The Hard Truth:

People are fucking asshole. Everybody is in a rush to step over the heads of others as they try to reach for the top, not caring who's neck they break to get there.

The truth is that the world is run to please the image of man. Even the Bible put Adam as the first person.

Truth is, if people weren't such assholes and actually took the time see inside others, then people would be praised, purely on skill.

Maybe if people were accepted into a occupation, based on skill, rather than all these bullshit papers saying that you "COULD" be really good at that job, rather than, you ARE good at this job.

Imagine a world, where there is no sexism.

Bosses hire workers that show they have what it takes not because of sex or gender.

I mean, if there is so much greed in the world, why hire based on that shit? If you wanna make more money, hire the people who can do it best.

And if that boss in the first story would've hire that women, let me tell you, she would've made that company rich.

The Hard Truth:

People are stupid. They only seem to look at what is in front of them. They see your differences and try to make it a weakness. Unknown to them, you could have been great. Don't let others take away your shine.

Fuckin sparkle and let them haters hate.
